Re: movies

I've just heard about a new movie called AeonFlux. I don't know a thing about it, but the logo looks erm...familiar smile

Anyone know anything about this?

Re: movies

Oh yeah, forgot to mention....anybody seen "Constantine" ?   We did, couple of weeks ago.    I don't know.   Eh.   I mean, I didn't walk out of there annoyed, feeling like I completely wasted 8 bucks and a Friday night, and I wasn't mad like I was after being coerced into seeing "Blair Witch" a long time ago  wink  but it could've been a rental, that's for sure.   The movie started off going in one direction, and had promise and was intriguing, but then it just sort of veered off in another direction for the entire last half hour of the movie.   That left me a little disappointed.   Oh well.   It's all illusions and distractions anyway, I know.....  wink

Re: movies

aeon flux was a great adult cartoon that would come on MTV's Liquid Television back in the 80s. it has a very contorted style of animation, very original. it was the american answer to anime, in some ways.

it would have been so much better of they just made a 2 hour long animated movie, because i just dont see it werking as a real film with actors. but hey it could be cool.

yea logo looks familiar, but you gotta realize that the Aeon Flux intro ended with a close up of Aeon's Eye, and a Fly lands on her eyelash, and she SNAPS her Eye shut and catches the fly, resembling a Venus Fly Trap.

Re: Constantine, it was a bit more than OK, i know what u mean Lyra that is wasnt very grabbing in the last bit, i felt the same way. the final ending was interesting, god battling satan, but before that it was getting kind of mediocre. Rosedale wasnt that bad an actor ey?

I'm not sure really.  The story may have veered of in a lot of directions.  But it was the content and symbolism in this film that was extremely interesting.  Topics that are not new to us at NR for sure...but nonetheless seeing them portrayed on the big screen was great.

*spoilers below*

One scene I really liked - when the guy with the spear walked up to the garage the billboard behind him said "Got faith?"

As he approached the car he was going to steal - we saw the possessed mans reflection in the car window.  Also reflected in the window - and thus upon the possessed man - were the letters ET.  Quite a lot of implications can be taken from that.

Then further bits on this possessed guy.  A number of times early in the film we see him look over his shoulder as if someone is watching him.  Later on Keanu uses "the chair" to watch this guy.  The fact the guy was apparently aware of Keanu watching him illustrates the non-linear nature of time.

Keanu seeing the billboard that said “Are you running out of time?  – a hint of how reality speaks to us.  We see this again at the end of the movie when Keanu asks for help from God, then looks down and sees the glass – intuition – our conscious in tune with the universal conscious.  The shattered glass in the door that Keanu had been thrown into had smashed into the shape of wings (angel wings?)

Almost every scene in the movie had a cross in it, in one form or another.  Also catholic themes were deeply rooted in the film.  I watched this movie last night - at the same time all this stuff with the Pope is going on...the timing is funny.  Perhaps the Catholic themes are going to take in important focus in further world events…

Also the mentioning of enties "whispering in your mind", to influence you.  They made it clear that it's all about influence and manipulation.  And not taking direct control.  That whole thing changed in the movie - as the entities started to take more direct action.  Some people think this is one way things are going to proceed in our future…

When Angela went into Hell, and Mammon came to posses her...he whispered her name - as we see him walk toward her, the enties face is drawn, narrow at the bottom, larger at the top.  His eyes are very dark - giving the impression of being large.  This is the same face we see on the entity at the end of The Forgotten.  On a personal note this face always tugs on me - like some sort of forgotten memory, it's not that pleasant.

The end of the movie with Satan and Gabrielle I took to be metaphorical.  STO and STS entities starting to take a more active roll in our density.

This just off the top of my head – I picked up on quite a bit more.  One other bit comes to me now…when Angela (Angel?) watches the security video of her sister jumping.  On the first play she whispers “Constantine .  On the second play this doesn’t happen.  How many times have any of us experienced something we thought we heard or saw…and then upon checking it apparently wasn’t there.  Intuition then?  Reality insertion?  Timeline manipulation?

I am sure there was a whole lot more that could be picked from this film upon further watches.  And I suspect in much the same way as Goro does – it could certainly be tied into events that are occurring around the world.

Interesting still that Keanu has been the lead actor in what I would say are two of the most “awakening  films of the last few decades.

Whether or not this movie is helpful to the “masses  I couldn’t say that it is (after all consensus reality is so deeply entrenched it will take far more than a handful of movies to alter peoples views – so for them at least the movie is indeed distractions – meanwhile for us, such movies have the potential to be so much more).  It shows the likes of us that events in these areas are beginning to move at a whole new pace.  The world is changing.

Re: movies

Thanks for the comments on Constantine.  I've seen that as well.  I'll have to look for the letters "ET" in the window.

I think that it is very possible that disclosure has been happening for several decades.  Twilight Zone, Star Trek, Star Wars, Men in Black, X-Files, and on, and on, and on.

I think that Star Wars Episode III will be the next big movie from the epic standpoint, and from a disclosure perspective I think it may be War of the Worlds and Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy.

In particular, I think that Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy has significant potential to be the first movie of a series.  As many people know, the books were big hits.

I think that these may be pretty obvious observations, but with all of the information available now, whether you have seen a UFO or not or had an "alien" encounter or not, I think that there might be a process underway to show that humans are not the only life in the universe with intelligence and significant technological ability.

Re: movies

I think that The Lord of the Rings can be thought of as representing our past, our history.  It described the ending of one age and the beginning of another age - the age that we currently live in.

Perhaps the Star Wars movies describe our present and our future.  We may be in a transition point where the people on this planet wake up to the fact that we are part of a galactic system.

There may be other alien species that we need to interact with.  Or perhaps, more accurately, they have been interacting with us throughout our history and continue to do so today.  It may be helpful to become aware of these possibilities.

We can then transcend any systems that we have allowed to restrain us.

Re: movies

Constantine was awful imo. no kind of special effects can save a plot like that :-)
what's up with this other version of the bible in hell, extended chapters in letters to corinthiens of all books? some lame reference to apocryph gospels? what happened to isabel in the end, is she in happy in heaven now? keanus acting or character? spear of destiny? trevor ravenscroft was making things up about this. but the guy running around with the spear was funny.
satans son? mammon?? immaculate conception no doubt. didn't see any spiritual motives, it seeemed more about power, action, magic, anger, fear (for what the demons will do to JC in hell).
i did enjoy the gabriel personage (Tilda Swinton), the special effects and that underground bar though.

A movie recommendation: The Machinist.
who are you? what are you running from?

the eyes of truth are always watching you

Re: movies

Hmm; well indeed the plot wasn't up to much.  But only a handful of films each year actually have reasonable story lines.

I was more interested in the content - which appeared to be 50% "enlightening" and 50% subversive.

Though I still think if approached with a certain frame of mind the movie had quite a lot to say...

Re: movies

So I was browsing through this section and my eye didn't catch anything about "What the Bleep Do We Know" - in case someone did post something and I missed it, my apologies...

I think this movie came out fairly recently - it's out on DVD now - and I think it's great !

http://www.whatthebleep.com/

It's really great way to get people who are 'asleep' or less conscious to think about some things - it's done in a documentary type of style but there's a little story with the main character who evolves throughout the movie...

the movie combines spirituality and science - from facts about quantum mechanics to brain chemistry to meditation ...

definitely worth watching !

... checking out the mirror of relationship ...

You just have to use the "Search" function at the top of the page.  Click on Search, type in
"What the bleep" -  you'll come up with this:

An entire topic devoted to this movie.

Personally, this movie didn't do it for me, but that's just me.......

Re: movies

I recently watched the 1969 documentary Salesman, and while it wasn't a great film, it did make an impression. Basically it's about four Bible salesmen who travel from city to city visiting people at home. There they try to pressure these people into buying expensive Bibles and other Catholic books. The salesmen used tactics ranging from manipulative to ingratiating to domineering. They tried to sell to people who obviously couldn't afford the Bible, and even to people who could barely speak English.

The reason I thought I'd post about it here is that during a conversation between a couple of salesmen I noticed a familiar look of discomfort passing over one of their faces. This look would be familiar to anyone who has ever caused another person to question the truth of their worldview.

The uncomfortable man was a high-seller, and the other man was a down-on-his-luck older salesman named Paul. Paul was thinking too much and asking too many questions. He was desperate, possibly broke, tired, and unsure about the validity of the sales game. The other salesman positively recoiled from Paul, insisting that he was being "too negative". What I saw in his face was horror: the horror of becoming human, and thereby losing his edge. In order to be a salesman, you cannot empathize with the customers. You can't see them as human. You cannot ask yourself if what you are doing is right, because at some level you know that it is not. You have to turn yourself off. And this state of willfully sustained ignorance is called "positivity"!

This scene made me reflect upon what it must be like for someone who is committed to the Matrix  to get a glimpse of reality. They know they mustn't even think of accepting the red pill, because to do so would mean they would lose their edge in life, just like the salesman would lose his edge if he questioned the morality of the sales game! A salesman who empathizes with his customers and sees them as humans instead of suckers cannot sell. A citizen of the matrix who empathizes with his neighbors and sees them as humans instead of competition cannot exploit them. In both cases, loss of ambition is the threat. I'm sure this subject has been written about before, but seeing it play out on screen was quite edifying.

Re: movies

Thanks for sharing that, Czyx. I remember reading in the Ra Material how 4D entities striving to polarize themselves increasingly along STS lines can lose some of that polarity if they gave in to anything positive or else failed in some exploitation attempt. This salesman experience you relayed seems like a small "diorama" illustrating how and why that is, how any sort of empathy means weakness means lack of success, power, and control. It also shows why higher level STS entities are said to be so prone to wishful thinking...perhaps not only are they full of themselves, but since doubt is a form of weakness they must stick to "positive thinking" of the STS kind in order to stay strong and perhaps to not jinx their plans. Perhaps if they believe strongly enough, others will too and reinforce their collective self-delusions. Of course this causes them to overlook hidden errors that inevitably cause their plans to fall apart in the end, but it seems in the nature of their anti-spiritual pyramid scheme to borrow the illusion of success and push any consequences of denial further and further into the future. Like the gambler who loses but pumps more money into the game because he thinks he's all that much closer to winning the big one.

Acquiring fringe knowledge is like digging for diamonds in a mine field.

Re: movies

The first Tomb Raider movie where Lara Croft battles it out with the Illuminati.
Lara's Father Lord Croft just happened to be a good guy member of course trying to fight them from within.

I saw the film The Skulls a few months ago that was only interesting in the way is was supposed to portay the infamous skull and bones society of Yale fame.

Perhaps if people are bombarded with illuminati/occult/masonic  imagery as fiction then it becomes harder for them to accept that this is the way the world is run in reality.

I have tried to have conversations with people about the movie the Matrix saying its an allegory of the way the world is just to be shot down with "its just a movie" well yes i know but the point is............

Movies such as pearl Harbour can be used to whip up national pride, war feelings and enemies to fight as well totally ignoring the facts of what really happened, like  the whole thing was probably staged as an exuse to get America to enter WW2.

Its not like we are fractions of the whole but rather versions of the whole.
