Topic: Earth as a unique planet argument
After listening to a recent C2C radio show (Art Bell) and the Irish guest author (promoting his new book 'The Nephilim...')
I thought of a t.v. program I saw a few years ago, where the argument was made by some scientist that the Earth is a very very unique planet (having a moon which controls the tides, being exactly far enough away from a hospitable star which is the uniquely right size of star/sun to provide warmth and energy to the Earth for life to develope, etc) and that there is a mathematical calculation (which the scientist discussed) that determines that for such a planet like the Earth to exist/develope is highly rare and that there probably is no other unique situation like ours that would allow for other star systems with Earth-like planets to develope...
Now, I am also aware of the scientist, Carl Sagan, who said something like, 'there are as many stars (not planets?) out there in the universe and cosmos as there are grains of sand on a beach...'
I know the Christians (various denominations irregardless) that would expound on their belief of the planet Earth being the ONLY planet with life and 'God', angels, saints, demons (fallen angels), Christ, other teachers/avatars, etc...
I also remember reading in the Stuart Wilde book 'God's Gladiators' where he cites the reknowned ufo/paranormal French researcher, Jaques Vallee, as stating that he believed the ufo phenomenon was really 'spiritually-based' in nature as opposed to physical 'nuts and bolts' type craft, and that aliens/ets were really angelic/demonic creatures outside our dimension....
So, with that said, what if all this ufo/alien/et phenomenon and so-called et originating star systems that are commonly mentioned in the ufo/et field and constantly 'channeled' by new age gurus and 'contactees' etc, (Sirius, Draco, Orion, Lyra, Pleiades, Andromeda, Tau Ceti, Alpha Centauri, and so on)--purported to have actual planets with intelligent life/creatures (reptilian, humanoid etc)-- can we really determine that, yes, there are actually in reality, planets rotating around these often mentioned star systems that are hospitable to the development of intelligent civilizations?
Or, is this oft-channeled and talked-about alien/et 'overlords' really just demonic (fallen angel, nephilim) creatures toying with our egos and intellect, and passing themselves off as et's?
Could the Earth be the ONLY planet of choice (ie, life, civilization)?
Will we one day be scientifically adept at detecting (through powerful telescopic tech or SETI listening dishes) another type-0, type-1, type-2 style intelligent civilization out in our universe (Milky Way galaxy) and the overall Cosmos?
Your thoughts please (and any website links that would expound on this),
