Topic: Condoleeza Rice: The New Face of White Supremacy

This was an interesting interview:

http://www.democracynow.org/article.pl? … amp;tid=25

Here's an excerpt I found alarming:

"This is somebody, who you go back into her history, before she ever served in this Bush administration, when she was at Stanford and when she was writing for Foreign Affairs magazine before the election campaign of 2000, she wrote that the United States has an individual interest, that every nation has an individual interest to advance its own goals, that there is no such thing as a community of nations with shared interests, which I think is a very important thing to realize about her mindset as she goes off to be our emissary to the world. Here is somebody who doesn't believe that nations should work together to advance shared goals, but rather that each individual nation should pursue their individual goals, and that the U.S. has a right to use really whatever means they want to achieve theirs. That's a very, very frightening prospect for a Secretary of State. The world should know it, if that's where she stands, and get prepared."

Re: Condoleeza Rice: The New Face of White Supremacy

Putting an "educated" extreme STS person like Condoleeza into power is an interesting blind for the general public. For some African-Americans, its a matter of being grateful to have anyone who isn't white and male in power. For some its anger that the only black woman to weild such power in the history of the US might as well be white. You have to admit she does her job extremely well.

I also had the thought that when/if the doo doo hits the fan, Condoleeza is ironically, by virtue of her race and gender, the most expendible in the President's nest.

So yes, she is the new face of white supremacy and her blackness makes her the most expensive slave in the history of the trade. God bless America; the 4th d STS puppet masters have pulled a masterful stroke.

Perhaps her extremism may wake up those colour-coded racists on either side of the race divide, that think being black and in power means there is hope for justice for all.  It may even help some to realise that there never has been democracy in the US or anywhere in living memory. Then again, I am a bit of an optimist smile
