Hello Toth:
Nice to meet you (o:
When I was in Denmark, some years back, I was surprised the first time I was saying "so long"/"goodby" to someone they responded with, "Hi, hi." [anyone on this forum in Denmark right now?]
Turns out this is a casual or colloquial way, as my friends there explained, of yep, saying "goodby," "bye bye," "so long" and such......I was charmed by this, also took it inward and decided it was sort of a waking dream for me (like life anyway, I believe) with symbolism, some kind of sweet message for me to hold in my heart.
In 'my world' saints, saviors, healers, etc are, simply people who arrive to remind us of not just who we are but more that that, what we are. They, in my estimation, remember or never forgot this themselves while on the earth. And are in a sense a blessing or a form of grace that invites us to know or recall our nature and essence. And the purest of them are humble and know that we are them and they are us in that bigger picture. I believe they have a compassion that ultimately we are all capable of at some point in our own evolution. Myself, I have only had one very strong day of feeling that way about people in the world close to me and at large, all at once, and I do not really know how to describe it. Not yet anyway. I never knew I could have such a feeling, had no conscious, subjective reference for it or concept of it before. And I long to feel that way again. Similar feeling as when I had the unzipping experience but with a different 'focus' so to say. Instead of going from outward to inward I went from inward to outward - those words do not really do these experiences justice but I can offer that it was like exprencing a different side of the same coin.
I also rememer how liberating it was for me when I learned that meditation [with respect to the notion that there are different kinds and intentions of outcome, and some are just a natural way for some people to get still without overthinking it] is not limited to any one form or meaning either. For some people it appears that gardening or playing golf or fishing is their meditation. I think that is fantastic.
One of my favorite tapes to listen to is Gregg Braden's "The Lost Mode of Prayer." It is also a book. Really helped me to expand my own definition of what prayer is and/or can be. Not only expanded my understanding but also actually assisted me with tossing off the veil of limitation about how I can pray in ways that are actually more effective that what I had been taught. I value my foundation and have been delighted to experience an ever expanding view of my spiritual life.
Being here, at Noble Realms and on Montalk is also already contributing to that, for me, as well. The shackles are falling away more and more each day..........
