Topic: Earthquakes

I knew this would happen in the wake of the Tsunami:

The national news on TV is running a special report on the "swarm of quakes" going off in NZ. I only fleetingly watched it as I passed through the lounge, I could already feel my brain turning into mush.

Is this happening anywhere else? Quakes attacking our freedom and democracy?

Re: Earthquakes

hi alushe, who or what made the connection between earthquakes and these endangering freedom and democracy? earthquakes happen. if there was a major earthquake i can imagine that there would be some emergency state declared. what's the significance of that?

Re: Earthquakes

I'm surprised they haven't suggested a link to El-Quaeda.

Seriously, if you're interested in knowing the pattern/frequency of quakes, you can visit:

http://earthquake.usgs.gov/recenteqsww/ (sorry if someone's posted this before)

and they will notify you of all quakes, or just magnitude 5 and up.  We are notitified of >5 quakes, and I was at my computer the two days they were going off before the Tsunami.  It felt quite surreal knowing that this was happening to people somewhere, but I was only getting e-mail notifications.

From an observing point of view, it's interesting to watch the quakes following certian tectonic plates.  Small ones happen in waves around different plates.

I think I've drifted off Alushe's point here, but some of you might find this of interest. smile

Re: Earthquakes

Good link, Cipher.  Anyone notice the concentration of earthquake activity around Alaska?

Oh Bumblebee the "Quakes attacking our freedom and democracy?" was bad sarcasm, sorry for the lack of clarity there tongue

Re: Earthquakes

Thanks for that morningsun76,.

Alaska does tend to have quite a few small (<3) ones a lot of the time.  Tectonic plates must be quietly grinding away there.

There is definitely something going on in india if these reports are true. Here are some recent articles from the same paper that are quite astounding concerning UFOs, underground bases, mind control, etc. I am not sure how widely read and reliable this newspapaer is (is it an actual newspaper?), but if anything close to this were to reach mainstream media in US/Europe,.. all I can say is wow. All articles are listed as written by a staff writer. Does anybody know how legit this publication is regarded?
