Topic: like the sensation of falling right before sleep

I believe that everyone has had the experience of a sensation of falling right before dozing off to sleep - and the body jerk that usally accompanies it.

This is hard to explain...

I have had the following experience a *lot* in my life - but have never mentioned it to anyone before, and I would like to hear if anyone has had it before as well:

While I am lying in bed and preparing to sleep, I "see" a bright flash of light in my mind - which will match with an internal audial sound and at *PRECISELY* the same moment my house will make a real, physical creaking noise as if it is settling. All houses occasionally make these creaks when they settle - but this is something that happens EXACTLY when I see/hear this internal light and sound.

If you have ever worked with energy - maybe you have heard the term "ringing the bell" - as in a teacher may ring the students bell, with a slap on the back - usually more of an energy slap than a physical slap...

Its much like that sensation. This happens to me every couple of months, and has happened in every house I have ever lived in...

Has anyone else ever experienced something like this? Know anything about it?

I've not experienced this in particular, nor do I know about it, but I would like to make an observation. It seems to me like your energy field may be attuning the energy field of the various houses for a sense of harmony. balance, and clarity.

Maybe consider, thinking back, if you noticed a change in the energy of the homes after this happened... changes in yourself? An overall feeling of spatial clarity? Etc....


EDIT--As well, it would be interesting to see if you took a level to a number of places in the house, took note of their positions, and after one of these incidents then check again. Maybe the house is creaking due to the earth moving, after all you do live in "The City" smile, and you might be experiencing the release of energy in the light and sound. Of course this observation would rely on you having lived in earthquake country each time this happened.

YES!   I have had EXACTLY this!!!!!!!   It's always been such a mystery to me, like HOW CAN THE INTERNAL FLASH OF LIGHT / BODY JERK MATCH UP EXACTLY TO THE EXTERNAL NOISE?!?!?!?!!

What's going on with this anyway??   I don't get it often, I've had it happen less than 10 times probably in my entire life, but it has happened.

I get this too. The standard explanation is that first the house makes a creaking or popping noise, then your brain in getting startled sends out an electrical pulse which stimulates the phosphenes in your eyes and gives you a bright white light. But I wonder about that...I SWEAR that the light happens BEFORE the sound...so either it's an internal psychic phenomenon causing the outer noise, or else the mind is dislocated from spacetime and reacts to an event before it happens in linear time. For example, in dreams the images change to reflect a real phone ringing or door knocking or something falling off a shelf and hitting the floor before I hear the sound. Also, in regards to flashes of light, many times it's not just a blank white light but a momentary image illuminated in conjunction with the sudden sound.

I had something like this happen a few months ago.  I saw an extremely bright and big light (fern green), then a really loud sound that literally made me feel as if I'd jump right out of my body! (my eyes were closed) This happened as I was just dozing off to sleep, but seemed as if it occurred within a minute or two after my head hit the pillow.  The sound was earsplitting and very startling to say the least.
