Topic: Flu Pandemic

It has been talked about on NR for a while.  Several people have predicted an out break of the Spanish flu, especially the Cassiopaea site.  Given the efforts to resurrect it in the US, I think it is a possibility to take very seriously.  I noticed something interesting on Stuart Wilde's site about the Spanish flu. http://www.stuartwilde.com/WorldEvents/ … ndemic.htm

It seems that the reason the last pandemic resulted in the deaths of so many healthy individuals at the prime of life may have been because the flu caused the immune system to go into overdrive.  This makes sense.

If that is one of the ways the Spanish flu operates then, the solution may be in certain herbs that can act as a tonic to the immune system, raising it when necessary, supressing it when necessary.  Researching herbs has been a pastime for me, though I am no expert.  Echinacea is one of the best tonics I can think of.

Also, garlic is effective against all sorts of pathogens including viruses and fungi.  The Stuarte Wilde site also mentions the fungi found in chemtrails as possibly being linked to a planned outbreak of the Spanish flu.

I just think we should try to prepare for this possibility  and maybe others have better ideas.  I have a bad feeling about this.

It seems many people here in the area where we live have some sort of flu or sickness.  People missing work, people hacking and gagging and sneezing out in public.  Possibly related to this, there are TONS of chemtrails happening here (central virginia), it's out of control.  Every sunny day they litter the sky, I've never seen it so bad anywhere.  There's never a chem free sky here on clear days.  I'm not sure what they're doing, although theories have been thrown around here on the forum.   I noticed, and pointed out that in south Florida there were not very many chemtrails at all.  Just here and there, but NOTHING like we see here in Virginia.   Florida is also extremely flat as a board, no hills.   Central Virginia is very hilly, up against the Blue Ridge mountains.     Florida had mucho microwaves being beemed everywhere.  There are none here that we've found yet.

Connection:

Large chemtrail activity in hilly areas where it's difficult to beam beams, due to the hilly terrain.  So they getcha from above.

Minimal chemtrail activity in flat areas where beams can be used to do the job.

Just an idea, although I'm not the one who came up with it.   The bottom line is....boost your immune system, like freeme said.   It never hurts.  Since we have no idea what's going, it's better to be prepared.

The only thing I can add though is that it's best to revamp one's entire diet and lifestyle instead of just inserting in supplements.  Cut back on meat, heavy metal fish, dairy, sugar, breads and pastas, increase organic fruit and veggie consumption, lots of fiber, water, and healthy food in general, as well as the beneficial supplements.    Supplements help, but they can't override a compromised body in general, it's best to rework the entire system from the inside out..........

Re: Flu Pandemic

Too true. And somebody I talked to on the phone today had such a bad flu, I thought she had been sleeping. What a kind soul though.

But, yeah, ya gotta do it from the inside out. It's not easy, but its no doubt the only way. The whole enchilada, as they say. The flying taco.

P.S.: I think that I have some bad tacos which "the cleansing process" which scrubs my system is currently removing. Musta been somethin' I ate at one time or another. Yeah, that 'splains it!

Re: Flu Pandemic

This is a very good idea;
i think we should gather information regarding tonics, herbs, and those kind of supplements.
post sites that have information, tables, and procedures for preparing etc...
where to buy seeds, etc...

perhaps create a section in the Wiki after we gather a good amount of data.

Re: Flu Pandemic

Just a quick note.  A few friends from France recently came down with the flu pretty nasty like.  They say it's running crazy over there right now.  Like 3 out of 5 people at one of their office's is out with it.

I thought I recently had the flu.  But after hearing their stories of trying to write code while vomiting, I think I just had a cold.  Almost thankful for it too.

Re: Flu Pandemic

I thought I felt something coming on a while back. So I made garlic pasta, garlic tea, garlic this and garlic that, cooking it as little as possible. The next day it was gone. It took about ten cloves to do this, so if you hate garlic, perhaps some good garlic caplets would work. The next day I reinforced it with even MORE garlic, just to
be sure.

Re: Flu Pandemic

I have become a strong believer in garlic.  The kids even like to eat garlic capsules.  They think it's fun to pop them in their mouths.  And garlic oil is FAR FAR better in fighting an ear infection.  Put some in the infected ear and have them eat some capsules internally and its gone.  My son had horrible ear infections for a while.  He would go through series of antibiotics with little or no effect, but now I just give him garlic and don't even bother with doctors.  Supposedly too much can be toxic, so watch your reactions if you use it.

Garlic may be key to fighting the flu, in my opinion.

Yup, it's so true.   They used to use garlic on the battlefields of war...smear it into wounds and infections to clear things up.

What makes it work is the sulfur I think.  There's some dude out there touting the wonders of sulfur, he has ads in Nexus magazine and sells sulfur capsules or something you can injest.  I remembered reading his stuff, then when I researched garlic and saw that it's high in sulfur I made the connection.....it must be the sulfur.

Re: Flu Pandemic

There is more to garlic than just sulphur, germanium is another component as is the allicin(incidently more is released when cooked).

Re: Flu Pandemic

I feel so much better after reading this Sciencentral News piece.  Scientists are deliberately combining flu viruses to make sure they are prepared for the next outbreak.

http://www.sciencentral.com/articles/vi … mp;cat=1_1

" Making Killer Flu"

The Centers for Disease Control says it will deliberately combine the deadly bird flu virus that's circulating in Asia with human influenza viruses to understand whether and how it might cause a pandemic. This ScienCentral News video has more.

Flu Experiments

The Centers for Disease Control has announced that it will mate the Avian Influenza A (H5N1) virus (also known as "bird flu") and human flu viruses to monitor the resulting viruses' severity, and ability to infect and be transmitted. The process is called "reassortment." Flu experts say the lab experiments are crucial to find out what may already be happening naturally in Asia; they fear the lethal bird flu circulating there will swap genes with a human strain to create a killer strain that could easily spread from person to person.

Experts believe the bird flu virus isn't changing rapidly enough to spark a global outbreak, or pandemic, this year, but say it's impossible to predict beyond that.

Adel Mahmoud, president of Merck vaccines, welcomes the research. Mahmoud, who chaired an Institute of Medicine (IOM) workshop that called for urgent preparations for the next pandemic, says evidence that the bird flu has already transmitted between people is credible. "If that is going on today at a very low level, that is just a very, very serious warning sign that viruses are recombining…and then being transmitted within the human population," he says.

But Mahmoud says the gene-swapping research is just one of many needed preparedness initiatives highlighted by the IOM workshop. He says in this era of global travel a new pandemic could dwarf the one in 1918 that took tens of millions of lives.

"There is no other alternative but to prepare ourselves to be able to make vaccines against these strains and to deploy them in a very, very fast way," Mahmoud says, adding that he hopes the U.S. flu vaccine problems of 2003 through 2005 will serve as a wake-up call to the world: "The possibility that we'll just sit and watch it, cannot cross my mind."

Flu Shot Surplus?

The IOM workshop report, released in November 2004, also urged a campaign to increase demand for flu shots this season, pointing out that "demand remains too weak for manufacturers to make investment in preparations for a rapid ramp-up of pandemic vaccine production." Ironically, officials now worry that the mild flu season so far, combined with the early shortage of flu vaccine, has resulted in not enough high-risk people being vaccinated.

As health officials expand the criteria for eligibility for a flu shot, the possibility of wasted doses frustrates Mahmoud, because he says that even with the heightened awareness this season of the need for a flu shot, the level of response has been far less than appropriate. "Today, one third to one half of people who desperately should get the vaccine have not gotten it," Mahmoud says. "This exacerbates the cycle of disconnect between need and utilization" that's led to the fragile environment for production and deployment of influenza vaccines, he says.

Mahmoud says the possibility that manufacturers could end up "eating" unused doses this season highlights the need for government policies to encourage rather than discourage private sector investment in much-needed vaccine production capabilities. "In this country there used to be, in the mid-80s, approximately 25 to 30 vaccine manufacturers," he says. "Today there are only five. In the mid-80s there were five or six manufacturers of flu vaccines. Today we have two."

Mahmoud points out that to be truly effective, vaccines need to reach enough of the population to achieve what's called "herd immunity," which is the level of immunity needed to limit transmission of the virus. "That is a community responsibility," he says.

Lethal Flu Gene (10.14.04) - New research on the deadliest flu virus ever shows how acquiring a single gene can transform a mild strain of flu into a killer.

Flu Shot Shortage Risk (10.06.04) - This year’s sudden flu shot shortage may have some health consequences beyond just this year. Researchers have found that alternately getting and skipping flu shots may actually increase your chance of getting sick.

Re: Flu Pandemic

More info on the flu thing:
http://rense.com/general63/H5.HTM

The vicious avian flu that has killed dozens of people in Vietnam, Thailand, and elsewhere in the region "has caused the deaths of hundreds of millions of animals in nearly a dozen Asian countries" in the past two years and could kill millions of people if it becomes capable of spreading efficiently among humans, Michael Specter reports in "Nature's Bioterrorist" (p.50), in the February 28, 2005, issue of The New Yorker.

rense wrote:

"No such virus has ever spread so quickly over such a wide geographical area," Specter notes, and, unlike most viruses, "this one has already affected a more diverse group than any other type of flu, and it has killed many animals previously thought to be resistant." One farmer whose chickens were killed by the virus says, "It's damn hard to watch. One day, they're all alive and healthy-the vets were here the week before to check them-and the next day they're dying by the thousand. It happened so quickly. They started shivering, thousands of them at once. And then they started to fall. Every one of them. They just fell over, dead." Scott Dowell, the director of the Centers for Disease Control's Thailand office, tells Specter, "The world just has no idea what it's going to see if this thing comes. When, really. It's when. I don't think we can afford the luxury of the word 'if' anymore.... The clock is ticking. We just don't know what time it is."

edit: Yikes! I have been researching this more.  It is getting serious.  I'll post more details later.  Google H5N1 to see what is happening.

Re: Flu Pandemic

It looks like they really are getting us all prepared for a flu pandemic. Check out this from today's Guardian:

Government unveils bird flu action plan
Adrian O'Dowd
Tuesday March 1, 2005

Major public venues such as cinemas, football grounds and schools could be closed to prevent the spread of a deadly new influenza that could kill around 50,000 people a year, the government warned today.
Public spaces could be closed to help minimise the expected pandemic of avian flu expected to hit the UK that could possibly more than quadruple the average of 12,000 people a year who die from flu.

The chief medical officer, Sir Liam Donaldson, said: "We must assume we will be unable to prevent it reaching the UK. When it does, its impact will be severe in the number of illnesses and the disruption to everyday life."

The Department of Health today announced it was buying 14.6 million courses of anti-viral drug oseltamivir (Tamiflu) at a cost of  £200m over the next two financial years to prepare for the pandemic, which has been predicted as a near inevitability by the World Health Organisation. The drugs will help reduce the severity of the disease and help people fight it off.

As soon as the pandemic hits, a vaccine will be made to combat it, but this cannot be done until it actually emerges, said Sir Liam, and this could take four to six months to produce.

Another method of reducing the impact of the pandemic will be to close schools and large public events like concerts and football matches, and Sir Liam said: "This is a preventative strategy to take. Social intervention is to be kept very much in reserve. We do not want to see schools closing or social events stopping unless absolutely necessary."

The DoH was also planning to advise the general public to maintain good basic hygiene for example by washing hands, covering noses and mouths when coughing or sneezing, and avoiding crowds when possible. Announcements would be made to the public via newspapers, radio and television on the best course of action to take.

The health secretary, John Reid, said: "We have been working together with other countries and WHO to ensure the international communities are as prepared as can be. Around 25% of the UK population might be affected.

"It makes sense to ensure we in the UK are as prepared as we can be and have drugs for use against an influenza pandemic here."

Sir Liam added: "Depending on the size of the pandemic and the time of the year, it will inevitably put pressure on the NHS, but the NHS has shown it is now very good at dealing with winter pressures. There is better organisation and triaging. We think we have the infrastructure in place."

Mandatory quarantine or curfews mentioned in the DoH's document Pandemic Flu - UK Influenza Pandemic Contingency Plan were not considered to be necessary and are not covered by public health legislation.

Re: Flu Pandemic

My three children, their Mom, about a quarter the population of the little town I live in in Nova Scotia, and I  too, came down with that flu this year. It was an especially nasty strain.

It gave me an opportunity to do a little testing to see what might knock it out of a fellow's system, or at least mitigate its virulence.

Right up front, virtually nothing appeared to be effective: colloidal silver, by the quart, zappers, and other electromedical devices, garlic, etc etc. What I finally hit upon, unfortunately toward the end of the cycle with my daughter, the rest of us having suffered through the thing, is a homeopathic prophylaxis of the flu itself.

When the World Health Organization comes up with their flu shot in the fall, various homeopathic companies will produce a homeopathic version of it. Ideally you should take the thing in the fall, as you would the flu shot itself.

Nothing to lose I ordered some anyhow. I can't say that it stopped the progress of the flu in its tracks, but it obviously dampened down its effects, and my daughter certainly made a quicker recovery then probably would have otherwise.

Doing a little research after that I came across a fantastic book by Savely Yurkovsky called Biological, Chemical and Nuclear Warfare. It's about how you can make, in an efficient and effective way, various homeopathic isodes and autoisodes, agains all kinds of potential nasties.

Like next year's flu, or the one after that. Thing is about the WHO formula is that the homeopathic version is only as good as the WHO information. 'nough said.

When you prepare your own, and it's really amazing how simple and straightforard the procedure is, and you know you are going to be right on the money every time.
