Topic: Computer question

Is it impossible to post text that has a picture with it?

Since I asked for a Humor page I thought I should post some things there.  A friend had emailed a cartoon to me I thought was priceless, but when I tried to cut and paste it the image didn't highlight with the rest of the text, so I stopped there.

Any advice from any computer whizzes on board?

And if it can be done?  I'm not a computer whiz myself, so please explain the key strokes as simply as possible.

Images can be incorporated into the board (like http://montalk.net/forum/img/Sulfur_new.png).
The image above uses this code:

[img]http://montalk.net/forum/img/Sulfur_new.png[/img]

Keep in mind that the image has to be available somewhere on the net.  You can link directly from another site, or upload it to some image gallery, and link to it from there.

Use the BBCode examples for help with linking and other board formatting.

For you, having an image on your computer in email, it is not too simple to get onto the board.  Maybe the source of the email has the image stored on a website.  If so, find the exact URL of the image, and simply copy into "img" tags in a message.

Thanks for your direction cameron.  I rechecked the email that was sent to me and it was sent from yet another person so it doesn't seem likely I'll locate the website where it originated, but I'm going to try. smile

Hi Auendove some times you can right click on the pic and a window will open that says (email ,save ,save as,copy ,etc,)  click on copy then come to message board and right click again click on paste. make sure your curisor is where you need the the pic.hope this works

Or you could save the picture to desktop, then upload it to an image hosting service (http://www.free-webhosts.com/free-image-hosting.php).
