Topic: A few questions about Abortion and birth control

Dear Friends
kind regards
After the disastrous Wrestling subject I think that I'll focus my attention to a matter of what people on this forum would perceive to be of real importance.
Abortion is a very controversial subject.
Abortion clinics are open everywhere and babies are killed in their Mothers womb legally for all kinds of numerous reasons.
Similarily the issue of birth control can sometimes be perceived as controversial.
Birth control products are being issued in UK schools because of the increasing level of sexual activity among youths.
Religion bitterly condemns abortion and birth control.
I have a few questions about this.
1. What are your views on abortion?
2. What are your views on birth control?
After a few views on this subject I will give my opinions but before you assume the obvious.........my views on these two issues are not the same as mainstream Christianity and religion in general.
If you could please post your answers/opinions A.S.A.P I'd appreciate it.
yours thankfully
John

Re: A few questions about Abortion and birth control

My sister is worthless. She's also pregnant. She is married, but the baby's father is not her husband. Her husband doesn't know this yet, but he will find out when the baby is born because it won't have his skin color. My parents are both alcoholics, which means my sister is genetically predisposed to alcoholism. I don't know if she is technically an alcoholic, but she does drink a lot. The guy who got her pregnant has to drive a bicycle to his job at the porn shop because his license was revoked due to his DUIs. (I'm not even kidding about this.) He's a bisexual, which I don't have a problem with normally, but I suspect in his case it might come from plain instability and discontent instead of real feelings. He apparently has anger issues and sells cocaine. Their baby is going to be a genetic cocktail of concentrated failure. So, I advised her (through my other sisters, since she was too cowardly to talk to me about it) to get an abortion.

She refuses to get an abortion because for years my mother has pumped her full of Christian propaganda. My mother is a crazy, hateful woman who did a lousy job raising all of us. My sister is also taking the advice of her slutty friend who has already had a handful of abortions herself. This friend, who has three (living) children by different fathers and is currently in an abusive relationship, told my sister not to get the abortion because she'll regret it. I am 100% certain this friend will have more abortions in the future. These are the people my sister takes advice from. These are the people around whom this kid will grow up.

My sister has a history of lying, keeping secrets, and using people. She has already said she just wants to drop the baby off at my mother's house when she has it. She won't consider adoption or even leaving the kid at a hospital under the "safe-haven" law in our state which would allow her to do so without getting in trouble. The kid is going to have a miserable, lonely existence. My mother is going to abuse it the way she abused the rest of us. My sister is going to neglect it. It's better off dead.

I think it is morally right to kill an unwanted baby in the womb before the third trimester rather than to bring it into the world and subject it to the decades of torture that will be its life. This particular kid is probably going to grow up to destroy other people's lives, too. Whether you believe in nature or nurture, genes or upbringing, this kid has a good chance at growing up to be a violent criminal.

I'm all for birth control. People are going to have sex. They cannot be stopped, no matter how much propaganda is pumped out. Birth control stops unwanted pregnancy and disease.

Despite its constant moralizing, the currently existing political organization of Christianity does not want to help people. It does not want to alleviate suffering or make the world a better place. It wants people (specifically, those who do not follow the dictates of the church) to experience lives of misery and disease. This is because the misery of such people provides a convenient example of how "straying from the flock" brings pain and destruction. If the church did not condemn abortion, one major negative consequence of premarital sex would disappear. The church thrives on artificial guilt, so the rule against premarital sex isn't going anywhere. For the sake of its own power, the church must not help people avoid the consequences of premarital sex--even though it could, and even though its stance results in horrible misery for the child and society.

Re: A few questions about Abortion and birth control

Dear czyx
kind regards
Firstly I am sorry to hear about the troubled circumstances in your family.
I would like to give my own opinions on the two questions.
1. I think that abortion is valid for certain reasons.
If the baby has genetic defects and is going to lead a life of misery then perhaps it is best that termination happens.
Also if a woman is raped and becomes pregnant then I definately believe that abortion would be the best way of handling the situation.
The Roman Catholic Church and Roman Catholics have rather hideous beliefs on the subject of birth control and abortion.
I have spoken to Roman Catholic women who state that they'd give birth to a baby who was produced as a result of rape.........this is utter insanity and wholly immoral.
This is what put me off the Roman Catholic Church even though I was raised as a Catholic.
Furthermore Roman Catholic church doctrine isn't useful to the people of Africa as they have lots of children who therefore have no other future than to live in poverty and starve.........a child shouldn't be born to suffer.
The Catholic church encourages overpopulation even in a World of imbalance-sometimes I think that the Catholic hierachy should be hauled before a humanitarian court on grounds of dangerous teachings and idiotic insanity.
I must admit though that abortion should be put in context-People should obstain from reckless sexual activity rather than abort babies as a result.
For example if two people meet at a nightclub and have sex then the woman discovers she is pregnant and she aborts the baby.........I can understand how that could be construed as a violation of the abortion system and therefore abortion should be controlled.
Again though it is down to the society to be discerning but some people in society are not therefore problems occur.
2. I definately endorse birth control.
However sex outside of marriage shouldn't really happen and youths should not be engaging in sexual activity but if worst comes to worst birth control should definately be used.
According to the Daily Mirror newspaper 50% of all youths having sex are not using any form of birth control or contraception.
The reason why society is at its worst is not just down to Satan and the Illuminati it is also down to human stupidity.
People breed without money, resources and intelligence.
It seems that very few people on this planet actually care about human development.........they just want to contribute their sperm count to a future universal disaster.
