Re: A few questions about Professional Wrestling

I agree with Lyra about this. This thread is just a divisive fiasco. Nothing any of us is saying is really being listened to, so it serves no purpose to keep on posting here. It is clear to me that Moralman demonstrates the mental capabilities of a five year-old. Childish questions, responses, and concerns. "God made a mistake"? "Hopefully after the shift in 2012 all homosexuals and lesbians will be made straight "?!! I mean, please. Further involvement on this thread just gives credibility to this insanity. I'm an accepting person folks, but only to a point. So I'm done, case closed, bye bye.

Re: A few questions about Professional Wrestling

Dear Neomatrix
kind regards
I can assure you Sir that I am listening and understanding everything that I am being told.
However it is at my discretion to decide in an unbiased fashion what I consider to resonate with me and what doesn't.
My questions were not childish at all-the questions about Wrestling were adult and bought up on an alternative viewpoint forum.
There is no insanity on this thread-there is an alternative thread on an alternative forum.

Re: A few questions about Professional Wrestling

Looks like a stalemate. Everyone's had their say and no one is listening enough to concede to one another. This topic has served the purpose of bringing onto the table issues of tolerance vs intolerance, complicated by the fact that tolerating foolishness is foolishness in itself, and not tolerating foolishness can come off as intolerance. Who can win given the choice of supporting foolishness or supporting intolerance? Well, just remember your participation in this thread is voluntary and this isn't the only thread on NR. I for one have a few more things to say here.

Had this thread been started in the Humor and Fun section, there wouldn't be a problem...the problem is Moralman taking something seriously that in context of other NR discussions is not so serious.

Can we discuss the positive side of wrestling? Sure, we can talk about how it makes people happy, how it's a microcosmos of grander human dynamics just as the greek myths and plays were, how the violence is staged and therefore harmless, and how wrestling like everything else is one expression of energy within the Infinite Creator. Though where do we draw the line, since the positive side of anything - no matter how trivial - can be discussed in some way or another?

That the subject of wrestling has some value does not show it is less trivial than other topics. I gather from Moralman's posts that boxing and wrestling are just as important to him as the encroaching police state, the alien presence, and metaphysical subjects in general. And for him, that is fine. Individuals may have their views - the issue here comes down to the frequent nature in which he posts questions on a forum that in context of the rest of the discussions on NR come off as strangely trivial at times, which has the effect of what others might label "lowering the signal to noise ratio." But more to the point, the issue centers around what I perceive to be an innocent but one-sided way of requesting time and energy from people without giving thoughtful feedback in return, as though these replies were requested mainly to let him preach under the guise of mutual discussion.

We could discuss other questions equally as legitimate but trivial as wrestling after 2012. Will there be casino gambling after 2012? Will we get to watch Sex in the City and Friends reruns after 2012? Will I get to take my Gameboy into fourth density? Will Jesus tolerate my intolerance? Will the density of love and understanding have room for my lack thereof? Will personal gratification have an added dimension of pleasure in a realm of selflessness? Will I get to keep all my STS desires and past times when I become STO?

What paradoxical questions! I can only say this: after 2012 we will go where we are best suited and willing to go, which differs from individual to individual. The Shift is a branching of collective paths moreso than an upliftment of everyone to the same realm. Some paths will have all the wrestling and boxing you could want, some paths will include what appeals to an entirely different crowd. Moralman, Jesus allows all to choose their paths since nonjudgment necessitates this, but not all chosen paths lead straightaway to the Kingdom of Heaven.

Re: A few questions about Professional Wrestling

Dear Montalk
kind regards
I never exalted professional wrestling over more important issues.
Naturally adressing the issues of Illuminati expliotation of the human race, hunger, debt, hopelessness, pain and suffering is more important than professional wrestling.
I have never stated any different.
In fact I have started many topics on these types of issues previously before I ever mentioned professional wrestling on this forum.
I understand perfectly how this subject of professional wrestling and certain threads come off as trivial but with respect I have usually rather good questions and started/participated in good discussions.
Quite frankly I cannot give an objective opinion or knowledge on Extraterrestrials of any kind and that is what most of the discussions on this forum about.
I have read about the various forms of extraterrestrials in David Ickes books, your articles and the forum subject threads so my knowledge is general rather than elementary.
I have a question for you Sir.
1. Could you please explain in detail why you said the following.

montalk wrote:

I don't think that I am overly one sided-if you mean my personality then you may be correct.
I thank people for contributing to my thread subjects.
As far as thoughtful feedback I really do need your definition of what you consider that to be.
I contribute when I can and give my opinion-isn't that thoughtful?
I don't preach on this forum-I give my opinion which is something completely different.
If you could get back to me A.S.A.P I'd appreciate it.

Re: A few questions about Professional Wrestling

Moralman, if discussions only involved mutual stating of opinions then your approach would not be out of place. And some threads are exactly that, a survey of opinions. But true discussion involves mutual exchange of not only opinions, but also feedback - this feedback must be more than just a restatement of the original opinion. Asking five questions, getting replies, and thanking people for those replies and then restating your opinion on the matter is your style. It is sincere but lacking something...you ask, you receive, and that is that. Sometimes discussion takes off when those who replied in turn give feedback to each other; that is when the discussion becomes balanced and dynamic. Otherwise it's just a game of marco pollo, question answer, voice and echo, a mechanical routine like a toddler's habit of repeatedly asking  "why" without ever pondering "why".

You may see no problem with your approach since you're just stating your opinion and asking for others' opinions, but over time it strains the patience of those you ask because it lacks any synergistic elements returning to the whole what energy was invested in answering you. In a perfect world we would have infinite resources and energy to give without having to receive, and I think that's what being STO is like, but members of this forum have finite time and energy. An imbalanced exchange shortchanges the time and energy of the whole and that's why the word "distraction" was used more than once on this thread.

Your questions can be answered to a degree and at a certain pace, but sometimes either the nature or frequency of your questions exceeds that balancing point. The question about wrestling, as much as it can be legitimately discussed by those with the patience, toes the line and for some was the straw that broke the camel's back. Everyone on this thread can be true to themselves and acting in defense of some perceived integrity, but relative incompatibilities between these causes friction that can't be resolved without people going against their inner natures. That's why this topic is a stalemate and in my opinion there is neither blame nor righteousness...it just is what it is, and the best we can do is take from it what things we did not see before about ourselves and others.

If you have a problem with this, email me and we'll get it resolved. I am withdrawing my participation in this thread since every post on a divisive issue seems to send it tailspinning onto another tangent.

Re: A few questions about Professional Wrestling

I'd just like to add my two cents here:

I believe wrestling and other violent pastimes exist because humanity needs someway to channel it's violence now that we live in such a "civilised time". There was a time when humanity lived alongside the rest of nature with the fight or flight, hunting, strongest in charge mentality.
Now things are alot different; man's impulses have been suppressed. They need to be channeled. I believe this is also a contributing factor as to why people can "snap" and kill mercilessly.

Re: A few questions about Professional Wrestling

All I can think of in regards to some of the posts these past few days is that I hope is that if there are higher beings that control our fate, I hope they don't find us foolish, and  that they aren't intolerant of fools.  But, if the definition of foolishness is what has been defined here, I doubt we can escape appearing foolish.  I just hope they don't find it as acceptable to treat us as badly or dismiss us so readily.

And just when we thought this thread was dead. Oh well, I'm sure we've all had time to pause and reflect in the aftermath. So whilst I will apologize for the tone and wording of several of my posts on this thread, I still think that perhaps Moralman may fare better on some forum other than Noble Realms. I'm not trying to deliberately ostracize him, so don't think I am. But he clearly holds to some very traditional Christian values, bonded to a rather perceptible fixation with the year 2012 and some decidedly apocalyptic beliefs and hopes regarding that time period. I just find it odd that such a person would come here asking questions that are definitely of a "New Age" flavor, get numerous individual responses from the folks here to muse upon and consider, then instead simply respond with his own Christian-oriented view of the matter. As Moralman has said, this is an alternative discussion forum. Judgemental, black-and-white Christian values are most definitely not alternative viewpoints. Is this forum really a place for such mainstream religious belief systems, even if they are oddly bonded to alternative topics?

I really don't think "higher beings" give two hoots about this thread.   But I could be wrong.  wink   Also, I think you're blowing things out of proportion, and have since Day 1 regarding this thread.   Let me tell you, I've participated on other messageboards, and if you think that what went on here in this thread was so horrible and bad and are actually worried about higher beings treating us badly because of it, all I can say is maybe it's time to visit some other forums to get a better idea of what else is out there.   This forum, by far, is the calmest most tolerant forum I've come across yet.    I keep referencing that one end times / prophesies messageboard with the Catholic bent that I was a part of last year, but I'll mention it again.  It was THE nastiest, THE most vile place I have ever seen.   There were enough cool and nice people to make it worth sticking around, but that place was VILE.  I finally walked away from it.   It was NASTY.   So you have an idea of how bad things are out there on other boards, I'll list a couple of examples of behavior that ran rampant there:

-  First, the moderator was very "hands off" and didn't steer the forum in any way.  She let the nasties run wild and had a "But I don't like kicking people off the board!  I don't like confrontations!" mindset about it all.

-  There was a group of people on there who postured themselves as hardcore Catholics, participating in all the Catholic-themed threads, talking all the Catholic lingo and who decided that anybody like me who was talking about conspiracies and alternative subjects needed to be persecuted.  They went after us on the board.   Any place we posted, they would show up and try their damndest to derail the thread, purposely posting pages and pages worth of nonsense talk to distract from the topic.   You'd see like 3 or 4 of them having nonsense conversation, joking, talking about some t.v. show they watched last night and other nonsense.  They were so desparate about trying to derail the alternative / conspiracy topics that it was just astounding.

-  One woman would purposely follow me whereever I posted something and immediately post afterwards with an emoticon of a horse pooping.   Yup.  Lovely, eh?  And again, the moderator did nothing.  This would result in people fighting with her about why she would do this, and she would never answer.  This went on for WEEKS.

-  They'd get into very vile nasty round and round battles of words with us, resorting to name calling.   When that didn't work they pulled the oldest Catholic trick out of the bag -  Call us possessed, demonic, evil, and even WITCHES.  Oh, we MUST be possessed, it's OBVIOUS we're witches.   I was always being called a witch.

- All of their arguments lacked any sort of logic whatsoever.  But that's when they chose to argue their side about why they were carrying on that way.   Usually they didn't.  Usually they acted crazy then ducked out and refused to deal with it, just acting like they didn't do anything wrong, and turn it back around on us.  The way they continually twisted things around and refused to acknowledge their acts was just shocking.

-  They'd do crazy stuff, verbally attack us, then, when we'd argue back or call them on it, some of them were prone to just responding with "I love you."   That's it.  I love you.  It's another Catholic mind game.   Instigate a fight, get the other party riled up, then calmly just proclaim "I love you" and walk away.  Insanity.

-  Come to finally find out months down the line that this group of hardcore Catholic crazies actually had a plan to drive certain posters off the board.  They had gotten together and PM'd each other to plan who they wanted to target and various things they could do.  I found out from the webmaster herself.   Somebody ratted them out to the webbie and she notified all the targets of what was happening.  She also informed the forum about it.   But yet she never did kick the troublemakers off the board.  She was bent on not kicking people off.    Oh yeah, and guess who was numero uno on the list?   Moi.  I guess I feel flattered............  wink

Those are the highlights.  There's tons more, but you get the idea.   I'm defending this forum because I've seen what else is out there.    And it ain't pretty.

Re: A few questions about Professional Wrestling

I think to put out a thread like this about wrestling is to initiate something that is meant to 'word' down the forum with useless fill stuff.  It is like yeasting bread growing out of proportions.  Better to be clearcut & organized (or something).  Threads like this disorganizes it.  Manipulative diversion/digression is what it seems like.  Making the intent and purpose of the forum run out into the sand.  At least: then we have awareness of another tactic that is being used; to ease off energy or something.

Re: A few questions about Professional Wrestling

Dear Lyra
kind regards
I am sorry to learn that you had a difficult time at the Catholic forum.
I have a question for you.
1. Why did you bother going to a Catholic forum with your alternative view of the World?
You must have known that you were going to receive criticism from the Catholics as they have a rigid set dogma.
I was raised as a Roman Catholic but I can't honestly say that I endorse every policy that the Catholic church demands of its followers hence the reason I became a wanderer looking for alternatives.
I still believe in Jesus Christ and his goodness though.

Because it wasn't supposed to be "A Catholic Forum."   It was SUPPOSED to be an end times / prophesies / NWO/ conspiracies / Current events forum, that also *happened to have* Catholicism topics as well.    There's nothing wrong with that.  Not every topic / thread on a forum is going to appeal to all people.  So there was a variety, something for everybody.   Problem is, there was a group of nutters on the board who didn't want to see non-Catholics on the board.  If somebody made the mistake of saying they weren't Catholic, then that was it, you were black marked and harrassed.   Thing was, there were people from all denominations of Christianity, some Jews, a few Agnostics, and people like myself.   But the Catholics stepped up and made sure to dominate.  There were SO many fights there between Protestants and Catholics.  It was sick.  I avoided those threads and stuck to the news / current events / NWO / conspiracy / end times material.  I never picked fights with people EVER regarding their religion.  I just wanted to discussion conspiracy / NWO / news topics.  Unfortunately, fighting found me, because not only do I talk about the "weird" topics, but I'm very confident about it.  This rubs some people the wrong way.

Re: A few questions about Professional Wrestling

I think Montalk has this guy pegged 100%; I realized the same things earlier but never had the inclination or eloquence to spell it out like he did.

And our "Moral" friend is doing it AGAIN, RIGHT NOW, IMMEDIATELY AFTER BEING WARNED, by posing a pointless question to lyra.  She already explained WHY she was on the forum in the FIRST PARAGRAPH OF HER MOST RECENT POST: "There were enough cool and nice people to make it worth sticking around ..."

This guy is just trying to waste everyone's time on pointless discussion.  He's not moral and he's not genuine: he's just another Manipulator(TM) who's either doing it for kicks or to score some meager points with someone.  For whatever the reason, his modus operandi is to elicit comments from forum members as to their political and spiritual opinions -- to COLLECT INFORMATION.  The achilles heel of this type of personality is that -- to a person familiar with the techniques of this sort of interference (like most active NR members) -- the manipulators are as predictable as robots and can't themselves understand how.   (The reasons behind why it works this way could be the subject of another thread altogether).

In any event, I realize that I'm probably a dolt for even taking the time to post THIS message; so for me, too, then it's the only one I will post that has anything to do with this particular issue.

Until next time, spacefans ...
