who appear to have any ethics at all. Therefore it is appropriate
that he should distance himself from the rest of the predators.

direction this country is going. Viscious and ruthless. Going to

She is less idealistic than the small number of neo-conservatives in the Pentagon that have sometimes had a greater impact on US policy than their numbers might suggest they warrant, but more idealistic than the "realists" at the state department.
In any case, many of the problems the US faces, from Iraq to Iran and North Korea, are in many ways intractable and offer little room for manoeuvre.
Even so, as the political commentator Lawrence Kaplan argued, Mr Powell’s departure and Ms Rice’s ascension suggests: "When it comes to the broad foreign policy questions of the day, Bush no longer needs advisers to tell him what to think - he needs them to translate his thinking into policy."

From being the "baby", to being the most senior member of the Bush cabinet. Big career leap also makes her big target/foil for Bush. She's climbed the ladder on security briefs.Totally qualified to be Bush's intellectual bodyguard. Yep, she's just the gal for the job.
Yet on the other hand, being a black woman, she is also more expendible than than Cheney or Rumsfeld, thus she is between a rock and a hard place. I don't think she is a figure most African Americans feel proud to be associated with. Should the doo hit the fan, and she fall - no one will be crying too loudly, and Bush will come up smelling of roses whatever happens.
One thing I must write about:
There is a sense in which Black America represents "consciousness" and "righteousness" in the American collective unconscious, particularly the White collective unconscious.
It is very clever of the Bush Administration to get two Black people to do his dirty work.
Look, they say it's okay and they're Black!

I remember seeing a documentary with footage of Colin Powell getting really pissed off before he was being asked to read the whole bogus Aluminum Tubes thing to the U.N.
If I remember correctly, he said, "This is bullshit. I'm not going to read this!" But he did anyway.
I will search thru my doco library and see if I can find it and then I will come back with the name of the film.
U.S. intelligence came to the conclusion that those aluminum pipes were absolutely not the right size for a nuclear weapon.
But Powell got up and lied and said they were for nuclear weapons.

I personally would like to see Colin Powell as President.
But I doubt that his ethics would make a chalk mark in
the rain against what the PTB have planned for us.
As to Condom Lizzie Rice, yes, she's intelligent and sharp,
but the only way she got into that position of power is
because she's viscious and ruthless. And that's the kind
of people who end up in power these days. Nobody makes
it on merit alone be they black, white, red, brown, yellow
or colorless. Or so it seems.
Well, I hate both Clinton & the current admin. But I will point out that the current admin has spent more on housing for blacks than Clinton did. & the prison system swelled 70 % during the clinton regime, mostly black. & the literacy for us teens, blacks included dropped dramatically during the clinton yrs. Clinton also sponsored outcome based education which has statistically speaking the worst performance of any educational program in US history. Clinton & Georgie both work for the same cats.
Anyway I mention all this to shine a bit of light on idea about Clinton being americas 1st black pres is a load of bull.
So those who think Clinton was a much better pres are delusional. They are both Crimm marrionettes controlled from above.
P.S. No I'm not republican. More likely a libertarian or a constitutionalist. or a progressive. Depends on the issue.
