Hiya Blackcat! Well ask a question and you'll get a million different answers.
I think there is a lot to be said in life with regards to helping others. But how you help is an extremely personal and individual thing, which suits your own personality within life. If we want to “tell“? people things, then I think we need to analyse on a number of levels exactly what we tell others and why we want to do so. Telling them for example, that they are asleep and unaware of what is going on around them isn't going to do anyone any favours. Further even implying they are "asleep" probably isn't too helpful either.
Way I see it; when we come across situations where people are acting out blindly within the system - unaware of what they are doing or their options - we are presented with a very simple choice:
1) Do nothing - and continue on your own path knowing yourself "righteous", and that after all you are the only one that counts.
or
2) Assist them. That doesn't mean blatantly telling them they are dumb or something like that (often they are not "dumb"). All it requires is a little nudge. Make them aware of other options that they may not previously have considered. That can often be done in the gentlest and subtlest of ways. Then it is up to them what they do with the information.
Everyone "awakens" in a different way. Few of them achieve that through having been preached to. However don't fear recrimination from people - that is just other aspect of the control system. Instead if you feel the need to inform people of their slumber, then learn to approach the various situations in a manner that is inoffensive, subtle and caring.
You will find as you go, that there are various types of "awakened" people: Those that see their new awareness as an opportunity to help themselves, and those that use their knowledge to help others (in whatever way).
There a lot of places, movies, books and websites which contain information on a lot of different subjects with regards to this matter. Montalk.net is one of them, and is a great place to broaden your view.
Really, only you can decide what you wish to do now that you are "awakening". And with regards to those that tell you what you should or shouldn't do; I would be vary wary of their motives. Many of them can come across as very pleasant people - and some perhaps have genuinely have good intentions - but sometimes their advice can send you in totally the wrong direction.
As you learn more and more - and as you begin to understand your own self more and more, you will gradually come to learn what you want to do with the knowledge. It is your choice, and there is no hurry to make any decision.
Best thing in my experience is to continue learning - and not get too attached or caught up in any of the concepts you find along the way.
Also; out if interest and if you don't mind sharing - what gave you cause to begin to awaken?
