Topic: A few questions about Professional Wrestling

Dear Friends
kind regards
I am a huge wrestling fan and have been for many years.
I like watching WWE but liked it more years ago when it was the World Wrestling Federation and I also liked watching WCW.
WWF was a family friendly wrestling show at one time but now it has an adult theme which I am not overly keen on.
I have a few questions for everyone on this forum.
My all-time favourite wrestlers are Hulk Hogan, The Ultimate Warrior, The Undertaker, Jake "the snake" Roberts and Ric Flair.
I was wondering if you could take the time out of your busy schedules to answer a few questions.
1. What is your view on Professional wrestling?
2. Who are your favourite all time wrestlers?
3. Will professional wrestling still exist after the changes in 2012?
The Illuminati should be destroyed after the changes but professional Wrestling should still live forever in my opinion.
If you could answer my questions A.S.A.P I'd be so grateful.
yours thankfully
John

Re: A few questions about Professional Wrestling

Weird--I was just thinking about this the other day.

Moralman wrote:

It's completely real!

Seriously though, I don't get it. When I was a kid, WWF wrestling was huge. The other kids were all into watching wrestling on TV and collecting those rubber figures. It seemed pretty ridiculous to me. I preferred my violence in action movies, because the level of sophistication in the fakery was so much higher. The narrative element of wrestling was totally boring to me for the same reason--it just couldn't compete with the movies, or even books. When WWF wrestling faded away, I thought it was gone for good. I thought everybody had finally grown up.

But then it came back! And plenty of very intelligent people now like it for some reason. I still don't get it. They have ongoing plot lines and stuff, right? Like a soap opera? One guy has a beef with another, and they argue and form alliances, and then stab each other in the back? It just seems like part of the "bread and circuses" culture accompanying the decline of the American empire.

Moralman wrote:

2. Who are your favourite all time wrestlers?

Probably Rowdy Roddy Piper, because he was in the movie They Live. And Andre the Giant because he was in The Princess Bride.

Moralman wrote:

Probably not. If the changes are constructive, we'll be enlightened to the point where we won't need any of this silly entertainment. If the changes are destructive, the large-scale infrastructure that supports things like huge pay-per-view arena wrestling will be eliminated through war or calamity. Wrestling itself will probably still be around though, because kids like to wrestle.

Re: A few questions about Professional Wrestling

Dear czyx
kind regards
Thank you for answering the questions.
I would like to add a few comments to the things you stated.
I think that the WWF at its best was one of the greatest inventions in the history of mankind.
Fair enough wrestling is staged and scripted bt it is one of the greatest show businesses of all time.
It has become a soap opera these days with less emphasis placed on wrestling but should go back to what it used to be like during the WWF years 1986 to 1993 and WCW years 1993 to 1996.
I definately think that if these changes take place and a better civilisation emerges after the changes then the WWE should still exist.
I think that music, showbusiness and sports(especially Wrestling and Boxing) should continue to exist and should be better than they are now.
Even Hollywood should exist but it should be a positive force for mankind.
I am sure that Hulk Hogan pleased God when he instructed the children to say their prayers, to take their vitamins and do their training.
I am sure that professional wrestling will survive-it would be really sad if it vanished.
God is good and so is professional wrestling...........I am sure that wrestling will continue.
yours thankfully
John

It's fake.   I mean, you know that it's not real, right?  It's all show.   It's scripted, and it has its "good guys" and "bad guys" and it's basically a violent soap opera for guys.  Guys have their wrestling, their women have Days of Our Lives and All My Children.   But the bottom line is, like most shows, movies and entertainment, it's just fun distractions and diversions.    What scares me are those people who don't get that, and who take it seriously.   It's one thing to watch it seeing it for what it is, and to just have fun watching the wrestling moves and the costumes and the staged fighting and drama, but it's another thing entirely to *believe* it and actually get *caught up in it.*  THAT'S scary.

Moralman wrote:

2. Who are your favourite all time wrestlers?

None.  I don't watch it.   Well, I have seen it, but, I don't *watch it.*  If that makes sense.  wink

Moralman wrote:

Don't hold your breath there regarding 2012.  Based on many of your posts and your lists of questions, I can see that for you, many things hinge on "2012."   What will this be like after 2012, what will that be like after 2012, how will this be affected, how will that be affected.   2012 is not the end all be all.   Life will go on.   There may be some changes, and there might not be.  But like I said, don't hold your breath.

Re: A few questions about Professional Wrestling

Dear Lyra
kind regards
Thank you for your comments.
Wrestling is a positive TV program-It is uplifting and can be wholesome family entertainment.
I mention 2012 because the Mayan calendar predicts that year will signal the beginning of massive changes, David Icke even endorses the idea of change in 2012 and the Bible itself talks about an era like the one we are living in where much evil arrises but then Christ returns to put a stop to it.
I believe we are in endtimes and other people on this forum believe that we are living in a significent time in World history.
I have a question for you and would be so grateful if you could answer it.
1. Why do you wonder about me and my views?
I like WWF and I don't like the Illuminati...........how is it strange to want the first to survive into the Moral millenium and the latter to die out?
The World without professional wrestling would be boring and dull.
yours thankfully

Not sure I agree with you there.   Don't personally see how wrestling is "uplifting."  Nor "wholesome family entertainment."    I feel sorry for the family that gathers around the Glass Teat, bonding over wrestling.  How sad.   Unfortunately, that is the average American's mentality in the states that voted for Bush.  wink  Wrestling and monster truck pulls and Wal*Mart and beer and country music. (oh wait....i've gone to wal*mart....)    "Hell Yeah!"    wink  Which is why our country is in the state that it's in.  wink    Sorry, I think my personal biases are coming through.......

I personally wonder if the Mayan calendar thing has been translated very accurately.  There has been evidence to show that what we've been told about the Mayan calendar isn't what they meant.   So be careful before just buying into something hook, line and sinker.   I'll be fair and honest here, several years ago I was one of the ones who bought into 2012.   Now I'm not so sure.   It's always good to read material that challenges what we've been taught, especially concerning New Age type topics.   We shouldn't have "Sacred Cows", be it the Grays / Aliens, or 2012, or what have you.  This world is riddled with disinformation.    Most everything we've been taught about anything, New Age or non-New Age, is backwards and inside out and just plain wrong.

So, while I don't doubt we seem to be in "interesting times", in fact I myself have even written about it, and the universal changes people seem to be going through right now, I also think that many in the New Age circle may have been mislead over the past 30 years, about many things....including 2012.

As far as David Icke -- I really like David Icke, he's awesome.   However, it doesn't mean his word is God's word.   People can be wrong you know.   I believe he was wrong in endorsing Arizona Wilder as a credible witness regarding the Illuminati.   Just to name one example of where I don't necessarily agree with him.   So, while I enjoy Icke and own 3 of his books, it doesn't mean I believe everything he believes, nor use his views to prove something as being factual......as you have done here.

Moralman wrote:

1. Why do you wonder about me and my views?

Because you post in a very strange sounding manner, as pointed out by many people here, and because you have said some very strange sounding things, such as:

- How is wrestling going to be affected.........by 2012.

???!?!?!?!     hanh?!?!?

and:

- "The Illuminati should be destroyed after the changes but professional Wrestling should still live forever in my opinion."

????

and:

- "I don't understand why any self respecting female would hang out with those sodomites!!"

and:  Demanding for us normal, non-Godly people here at Noble Realms to tell you exactly where the souls of various dead people are currently residing or demanding that we tell you what the soul nature is of various alive people.   Like we'd know that, like we're God or something.

Stuff like that.   I don't know, it's just very strange.   To me.

Moralman wrote:

That wasn't what I thought was strange.  You missed / misunderstood my point.  Please see my above comments for my explanation as to what I think is a little strange about some of your posts.

Moralman wrote:

Really?    Professional Wrestling doesn't exist in my reality.   Yet amazingly, my life is very interesting and colorful.   I'm sorry to hear that in your reality you need wrestling to make life un-boring.   And yes, I do find that very strange.  wink

Re: A few questions about Professional Wrestling

Finding something "strange" is subjective though isn't it?

I mean; many people find me strange purely on the basis that I question what goes on around me:

Me:  "Isn't it odd how people always conform to general consensus."
Friend:  "OMG!  Get away from me you freak!!"

But yeah apparent strangeness leads us to ask all sorts of questions, which is no bad thing.  Not sure I would always say "strangeness" is an affliction though...

(Unless of course we are talking about SpongeBob, or the tweenies...)

It sure is.  That's why I made sure to clarify that Moralman's board personality and questions were strange........*to me.*.

I've said before that I think you're mostly taking the piss in this forum and your latest posts in this thread only make me even more suspiscious. I mean come on, these are not serious questions right? Surely this thread belongs in the Humor and Fun section?

But as to my thoughts on Wrestling...Have you ever noticed when the camera pans across the audience just how completely retarded everyone looks? Not to mention the guys in the ring. In my opinion wrestling is dull, boring, retarded and most definitely not wholesome family entertainment. Have you any idea how many kids have been seriously injured trying to copy their wrestling heros?

But if the continuation of wrestling after 2012 is really a key issue on your mind, then I personally would be a little bit worried about that.

What would Jesus say about boxing and wrestling? Do you think he would approve? When he returns to save all the righteous people in 2012 do you think he will be getting his kicks every saturday down at his local wrestling arena?

Re: A few questions about Professional Wrestling

Dear Ayahuasca
kind regards
I can assure you that I started this thread to ask genuine questions about Wrestling.
This is a general discussion forum and therefore a discussion about wrestling is pretty general.
Wrestling fans are not always dim-headed but sometimes I am sure that they could be but I don't think its right to put everyone in the same basket.
In your opinion wrestling is dull, boring and retarded but in my mind I like wrestling.
You are probably a football fan and if thats what you like then I am happy for you however I still think that Wrestling is the greatest showbusiness.
I actually really do hope that after the changes in 2012 that Wrestling still exists and I am not joking.
I am sure that Jesus Christ(In whatever form he returns in) would allow professional wrestling and Boxing to continue however I don't think that he'd compete in either ring.
Jesus Christ is Gods son and therefore God is good-surely then God would allow goodness to reign after the changes.
I assume that professional wrestling along with all other positive things will be alot bigger than it is now.
If you believe that my views are strange then that is your opinion however I say what I believe and seeing as this is an alternative view forum I would have assumed that alternative views are welcome.
Yours thankfully

Re: A few questions about Professional Wrestling

You know, every day lately I've been waking up and thinking, "I seriously hope wrestling still exists in the New World Order after 2012." I think we need to ponder seriously about this one guys. After all, it is a very important issue. I mean, where would the world be without wrestling? When the New World Order cops come banging on my door asking to see my Right-to-Exist papers, I need to know that I can call on the Hulkster to come and help me out if things get rough. He's a pretty scary guy, you know? I doubt the cops would want to mess with him. But I guess it all hinges on a very simple question: are the Illuminati wrestling freaks? I mean, there they are, up in their Bavarian Castles, surrounded in abject luxury. They have big screen TV's, I'm sure, and we *all* know that big screen TV's were made for watching wrestling on, right? So it stands to reason that they all love wrestling. They love Arnold Schwarzenegger, after all, so tough guy action men must appeal to them a lot. So, here's where I'm running with this idea. It's so simple, it's brilliant! All we have to do is invite the Rothschilds, Rockerfellers, Astors, Windsors, etc. over to a mega wrestling contest to be held on December 23rd 2012. That way, when Jesus arrives on his cloud he'll be like, "Hey, look at that! The Illuminati are nice guys after all! Hey Dad, look at them! They're kicking back, drinking beer, eating popcorn, having fun watching these retards slam the shit out of each other! We don't need to worry, Dad! Forget that apocalypse nonsense! Put the seals back on those scrolls! Send the four horsemen away! Lock that Beast back in the Abyss! No, really, it's all going to be okay!" And thus will wrestling save the world, and everything will be okay.

OK, now that I've calmed down and stopped laughing so hard. Seriously dude, I think that you're one of those people that posts crazy stuff on forums like these just to make us all look crazy along with you. Classic brotherhood technique to discredit attempts to take the kind of material we talk about here seriously. Well, whatever. Makes for a good hoot if nothing else. Keep 'em coming!

Thank you!  My thoughts exactly.    I mean, who the hell sits around worrying about what the fate of flippin' WRESTLING will be after 2012?????   ???!!??    Yeah, THERE'S a pressing subject.   I lose sleep about it you know.....

Ayahuasca wrote:

Well, you know, I was trying to be nice, big_smile  but the more I thought about this after logging off the more annoyed I became about it.    But I'm glad I'm not the only one reading this topic thinking it's absolutely absurd.

Moralman wrote:

No Moral Man, I don't think that's what the problem is. I don't think the problem is that Ayahuasca's a football fan, and you're a wrestling fan, and the two just don't mix, like oil and water.  I think it's the ABSURDITY of this topic.   What will be the fate of WRESTLING after 2012.....?!?   I mean, who CARES??    THAT'S what the problem is here.  Not the difference between various sports fans who can't mix.

This is a good place to point out the concept of "Dream Logic."   Dream logic are those moments when we're sleeping and dreaming where we have thoughts and ideas that totally make sense....while we're in our dream.  Then we wake up and remember it and realize how ludicrous it sounds, and laugh....because now we're awake.    Many of your questions / posts read like dream logic Moral Man, the thoughts / concerns of someone who is completely sleepwalking and can't see the aburdity of his own words.

What does one even say to this????    I'm sincerely at a loss.   I'm stumped.

Yeah, it's an alternative forum.......not a sleep walking dream logic forum.

I'm at a loss, so, I'll just leave off saying "Take it away, Neomatrix....."  Because he said it all......

This is a good litmus test to see who is the most intolerant, it looks like.  I don't think it matters if you agree or not, to have a closed attitude because someone doesn't think like you, is closed-minded.

* When we start identifying wisdom with our ability to comprehend its form, what wisdom is that?
* Judge not, that ye be not judged. For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.
* People want platitudes, not progress.

I don't know.  I thought about that after my last post, don't know if anybody else did.  But I did think about it and we had a discussion about it here on my end, about the idea of "collinearity" and ganging up on somebody.  And in retrospect I think maybe I was a little harsh.  But, at the same time, there are some things in Moralman's posts that -- for me -- were bordering on the absurd.  Like you know, Jesus and Wrestling, in the same sentence....!    That was like something out of South Park or something.   Jesus had his own talk show on South Park, and wasn't there an episode where he was boxing or wrestling with Satan or something in the ring.....?   Not sure.  Maybe I'm getting it confused with Celebrity Death Match.   wink   At any rate, it just reminded me of something you'd see on South Park.
