Oneness

The following is a quote from a book called "Oneness" which was written by someone called Rasha and published in 2003.

Personally, I found it helpful.  It describes a situation where events and experiences may be occurring on a vibrational level that is often below the level of conscious awareness.  In other words, a person may not need to tell another person what they are thinking verbally in order to effect change.

I think that the quote applies mainly to people who show resistance to new possibilities and out of the box thinking.  For people who show even a degree of openness, then I think that sharing specific information can be extremely valuable (and fun).  I think that the quote applies more to the many who do not show such flexibility.

Sometimes, I really struggle which how much information to share with others.  For me, new concepts are often fascinating, and simply a play of ideas and possibilities.  But for some, new ideas can be perceived as very threatening.  I think this may relate to a person’s sense of self being tied to their worldview.  Suggesting a change in worldview can be seen (consciously or unconsciously) as a personal attack.

Here's the quote:

"Likewise, resist the temptation to attempt to convert family members and friends to your newfound spiritual direction, if openness is not demonstrated.  Your path is your own.  And it is no more right to try to convince another being of your personal truth than it is for them to do so.  Allow others the freedom you would want to enjoy, and you will have demonstrated the very thing you would most wish to share with others.

Teach by example that which you are inclined to share.  For your actions speak far more clearly than any theory you may feel inspired to impart.  This is the best possible way to communicate to those who are alarmed by your choices where you really stand on issues they can relate to.  Show them how you have applied your newfound vision of reality to your life.  Let them observe your non-reactive approach to confrontations that may once have triggered major battles.  And provide for them a living example of the results of releasing the emotionally charged remnants of your personal history.

This is the best possible way to communicate to the dubious amongst your inner circle the kinds of choices you have made.  This is the strongest way to impart the message you would most wish to have heard by those who don’t want to hear it.  For it is far more powerful to live your truth than to preach it.

Many will be intrigued and will watch from a distance as you progress in your metamorphosis.  Be less concerned with what others may or may not be thinking than with the essence of your own experience.  They will be integrating much into their awareness simply by being around you.  And although they are unlikely to admit it to you, chances are that many will be touched in profound ways by being close enough to walk beside you in these times.

Do not expect that others will necessarily be converted to your vantage point simply by the virtue of their proximity to you.  Yet know that they will have been affected in ways that they themselves do not understand by having accompanied you on this segment of your journey.  Be patient with the beings who life has placed closest to you in these times.  For you are serving as a teacher for many, simply by being who you really are.“?
