My friend the mormon

You know something I been thinking of recently, It's just a thought.
For 3/4 years after I left the Mormon church one of the prominent members of the congregation would continue to email me.
These would contain little passages and uplifting stories of life with Christ, news from the heads of the mormon church, etc.
I use to just let it go because I knew he was good in his heart and his intentions were pure.
After a while I stopped reading them,immediately deleting them but could not bring myself to put him on the junk mail list as this would somehow insult his christian efforts and good intentions of continuing to reach out to me in the hope I would return to the fold.
Now here's the thing, mere days after I "woke" up and after years of mail, he stopped.
I went to my mail client day after day in order to send him some choice links to maul over.
He never mailed again.
Coincidence?
I don't think so.
