this is beautiful, and amazing! ![]()
Indeed, also see fibonacci in nature

beautiful, thanks for those... ![]()
if only they'd have taught sacred geometry at school... i might have been a bit more interested in math classes.

Me too, taoyoyo, me too!
Those really are beautiful pictures. They're almost musical in nature. Another clue how everything is connected and related to everything else...
Cheers
What's that gigantic green fruit plant thingy in the middle? Looks f* awesome! Yes, if only we were taught the relevancy of Maths in nature at school I think things would make a lot more sense, it would be down-to-earth not some abstract concept a bunch of bored teenagers couldn't be bothered to learn about.
I remember one lesson our Maths teacher took us out to examine maths in nature, we never got it. He showed us patterns in the leaves and trees. We just saw it as a good excuse to socialize and escape the boredom of maths class
, but now I see the importance but I just think it was too late, we'd already been brainwashed or had made up our minds on that subject called 'Maths'.
You might find this site interesting, with similar connetations ;
Wow, that's pretty incredible, Blue! ![]()

I like them all except the "dna" strand. I think that design is just made up so people can just say " see here is what it looks like" then you ask " well how do you know thats what its looks like" which is met with " well thats what they say". I agree with Michael Tsarion saying the design is just hollywood malarky. I dont even see how the golden ratio fits in it, I mean look at it. Doesn't make sense. Did you just put it there for the novelty of it? Like "the all mighty DNA strand..ooooooo". lol
Phi proportions in DNA
DNA in the cell appears as a double-stranded helix referred to as B-DNA. This form of DNA has a two groove in its spirals, with a ratio of phi in the proportion of the major groove to the minor groove, or roughly 21 angstroms to 13 angstroms.

A cross-sectional view from the top of the DNA double helix forms a decagon:

A decagon is in essence two pentagons, with one rotated by 36 degrees from the other, so each spiral of the double helix must trace out the shape of a pentagon.

The ratio of the diagonal of a pentagon to its side is Phi to 1. So, no matter which way you look at it, even in its smallest element, DNA, and life, is constructed using phi and the golden section.

Peace, PhiConcept.
How the hell could the measure grooves in spirals on a molecular level? I know science is very advanced, but the blown up image of it just seems weird to me. Like, if I were to shrink down to the size of a DNA molecule, do you really think I would see a spiral? Or anything that looks like the way they say it looks like? Same thing with atoms, and light, and all that. Sure we have plenty of math to suggest things, and the golden ratio plays a big part in life. But to make colored picturres of these it MUST be stated, in the Robert Anton WIlson flavor, it MABYE looks like this. Not, IT LOOKS LIKE THIS. Mabye Logic save us.

I won't argue with you on this Nyarlathotep. I'll take the scientist's word for it and accept that the golden ratio does infact exist within the DNA.
Peace, PhiConcept.
PhiConcept, the girl above had pretty good symmetry. Organic portal? snicker. Nyarlathotep, why is there a problem? I realize we can't see the DNA strand visually, but every surface can be mapped. Reminds me of experiments made that consisted of removing from a single organism, the DNA from the nucleus. It affected the cell's ability to regenerate any damaged area's and it could no longer reproduce. They discovered however, that it could still carry out all of its functions. The brain is actually the membrane. Proteins protrude through the membrane with sensing purposes to give info for the membrane to act on or not.
We can only see seven visual frequencies, eight if you count the fact that we can feel heat. There are a lot more than that, I've read from one source that it is as many as one hundred. Face it, we humans accessorize which means things can be "seen" with a little bit of help from the right tool.
