Topic: Alex Jones on C-SPAN!

I was watching the RNC on C-SPAN tonight, and afterwards they were asking delegates in the street outside Madison Square Garden what they thought, and talking to people in the street.  Just before they ended that scene the guy said "now back to you inside" as a man said "hold on, I want to say something too."  They eventually said they cut someone off and went back and it was Alex Jones from Austin, TX!  He talked about Bush and Kerry being of the same bloodline, Skull and Bones, military/industrial complex being behind 9/11 and us being on the road to tyranny.  It was cool to see him as a little surprise, but don't know how well *that* would have gone over on C-SPAN.  After him they went to some delegates next to him from Oregon who were like "um,,,,okay?"

Re: Alex Jones on C-SPAN!

holy cripes!  that is amazing!  i wonder if alex actually positioned himself there knowing they were going to shoot street interviews at that location or if it was more random than that.  but who cares!  he saw his chance and he took it and it sounds like he made sure he covered some important points!  wow..whatever it was exactly that he said and however brief it was, that was probably the most truth that has ever been told on c-span, let alone on television news at all.  i have to love alex jones, even if he has some square attitudes for my tastes - like his intolerant, homophobic "christian" family values.  i recently watched his "inside bohemian grove" video which - while the photography and editing are excruciatingly rough - is really quite a document.  the guy actually infiltrated the grove during the height of it's notorious summer hijinx, armed with a camera hidden in a pager.  he managed to capture on film the grovesters' entire high ritual to moloch!  it is truly something to behold.  jones is rarely eloquent, but he's always passionate and pretty effing brave, i'd say!  his appearance on c-span tonight makes me appreciate him even more.  disconnect - it's also amazing that you happened to be watching and that you could let us all know!  thanks.  maybe a clip will be on alex's site soon!

Go Alex!   big_smile  I love Alex Jones ever since hearing him on the Jeff Rense radio show last year.  I was very impressed.  He's got such an infectious energy.

Re: Alex Jones on C-SPAN!

I meant to post this the other day about the RNC when I saw it on the CBS Evening News program.

They showed outside of the building the sea of protesters.  The reporter said--

1) that this was the largest group of protesters ever to protest a political convention.
2) that there had been a nearby detention center especially erected that was able to house up to 1,000 arrestees a day. (!!!!)
3) the reporter called the protesters "These anarchists..."

My mate and I looked at each other with disbelief.. anarchists?  What about just calling them "concerned Americans"?

The reporter, a female, so wreaked of partiality.  My mate said, "What a bee-otch!", and contrary to my usual normal fashion concerning this kind of name calling I didn't argue with him.

i wish all these people were anarchists. unfortunately most of them probably believe kerry will save them.

Re: Alex Jones on C-SPAN!

That's really interesting. Did it actually make it on to television - the part where Jones talked about MilitaryIndustrial Complex and 9-11? It would be great to find a vid clip of that online!

I met Alex in fall 2003 when he came out to the Alamo Draft House theater in West Oaks Mall. They showed 9-11 The Road to Tyranny and THX 1138. He gave a 20+ minute speach and took only three questions. But he was outside the theater talking to fans the whole time the movies ran! I stood nearby the crowd of people around him and tried to make my presence 'felt'. Unfortunately, Alex didn't seem to notice my interest in talking to him or even my presence for that matter even after almost all the people in the crowd had dispursed.

He came off to me as a relatively insinitive person. Not only that, but there seemed something strange about him. He was probably just tired, touring, giving speeches and all.

Re: Alex Jones on C-SPAN!

Nice find with regard to the Alex Jones clip.  From the clip, it appears that it did make it on the air.  Just curious, can anyone confirm this?

I don't know if the clip linked later in this thread is the one I saw, but I can confirm that he did appear on television.  The clip was only about a minute, or less, and he brushed through things pretty quickly.  About the MIC-9/11 he said the evidence is mounting that the M/IC thru intelligence agencies were behind 9/11 for the benefit of a small group of powerful politicians and corporations, the signs are there you can see the tyranny that is so close now, etc.

It's actually not terribly unusual to hear conspiracy theories on C-SPAN.  Each morning from 7:00-10:00am Eastern they have "Washington Journal" which I really enjoy watching.  This guy sits at a desk covered in newspapers, reading interesting articles, sometimes with guests, and taking calls - everyone from hardcore liberals, die-hard Bush fans, wacky out-there people like me.  Most of the people calling to attempt to call attention to a conspiracy do so rather poorly, or just say "trust me....read David Icke" but that doesn't get anywhere.  Or people that call and point out the Pentagon inconsistencies on 9/11.  The guest usually doesn't consider these calls worthwhile.  And of course there's enough people who call claiming that there's a Jewish conspiracy (not select members of Zionists, just all Jews) to allow anything out of the ordinary to be lumped together with those calls.

Now what would be really interesting is to have Jones or Icke or someone like that on Washington Journal for an hour taking calls and going through some of the real evidence and factual points.  C-SPAN truly is amazing for how many viewpoints it shows (as opposed to the "fair & Balanced" Fox News), but even on C-SPAN I think they'd shy away from real look at conspiracies.
