Off the Grid

Dear NRers,

My boss is currently looking to buy a new home.  Because of his own research into various vibrations, ELFs, getting programmed/brainwashed/having DNA changes created through the grid,  he has decided he wants to be "off the grid" -- here is something he wrote to someone who apparently is very knowledgable about the "dangers" of being on the grid.

"A few quick questions. I want to go off the electrical grid, not to save money, but to further protect my family from the dark forces. Can I simply throw master circuit breaker in my house, and then bring in solar, or would I need to buy a house that's not hooked up to the grid? And, how far from neighbors would I need to be who are hooked to the electrical grid?"

Anyone who might have these answers, could you please post something.

My personal concern and reason for posting this differs from his - I think it's too focused on a negative.  And while I think it's probably never a bad idea to disconnect from as much of the matrix as possible - I also feel too much concern about something can be a bad thing too.  I've not had any luck in trying to get him to see a more moderate approach. 

So -- again, any information that answer his questions (in quotes) or my concern about too much attention on a negative creating more negative, but specific to this problem which apparently is getting "brainwashed and programed" through the grid would be great.
