Topic: Good & bad vibrations/white magic/I need some help and advice please

I'm posting this hopefully people won't be shit to me cause what I need is serious advice, not sarcasm and mockery... Anyway:

to cut the long story short, during the last past years, on several occasions, I had premonitions.
To be more precise: I had visions, premonitory dreams, heard voices, announcing the death of someone I loved. It was followed by a succession of irrational and scaring thoughts, a very violent anxiety and a very oppressive feeling.
I wish I could say it didn't, but it always borned out, a few days later at the most.

Recently I've been feeling disproportionately anxious, with no obvious reason, about someone of my family everytime they had to take the car. And it's just getting worst and worst everytime they have to.
I had to beg them 3 times not to take the car during the last past months because I had been seeing and hearing things in my head exactly like I did in the past, just before loosing people I loved.
Fortunately, this person knows about my premonitions and believes in it I think almost as much as I do. They told me that my great-grandma could "feel things" as well, even though we don't know much about it. So everytime it happened they accepted to change their plans and avoided to take the car, even though the whole thing sounded weird, I think.
Last time it happened was just a few days ago and the problem is: everytime it happened, as soon as they were like "It's ok, relax, I believe you. If it's that bad, then I won't go.", I felt better. Still very shaken, of course, but relieved.
But this time, I don't. I still feel some danger floating around.

I have to expain that we've been having loads of problems since the end of 2005. Small, annoying problems at first, then bigger, harrowing ones. Then at the end of 2006 they lost some dear friend I didn't know much, who lived abroad. And at the begginning of this year, we lost unexpectedly someone we loved.

I don't know how to explain this differently, but I have the feeling that there is a whole heap of bad, destructive energies, like a big black cloud above us and it's been turning around us for months now, moving away from time to time to come back just bigger and worst afterwards, but it's been doing smaller and smaller circles above us month after month and it's now staying right above us and ready to engulf us.
And I just feel like an antenna, picking it all up in spite of myself.

I'm an atheist, else I would certainly pray much lately.
I've been in a Catholic school when I was a child and some people of my family are Catholic too. I wich I could do what we used to when I was younger: go to the church, cross myself with some holy water and light a candle.
But I don't think I belong to churches since I can't really believe there is someone that we cannot see who created the world and can decide on everything.

On the other hand, I can definitely feel good and bad flows of energy around me. I don't know how it's called, but I believe in it.
So correct me if I'm wrong, cause actually I know almost nothing about it, but I came to the conclusion that my own beliefs seem to be closer to primitive societies beliefs, who were not necessarily trying to name good and bad energies.
And as far as I know, the only thing you can find left of these primitive beliefs is white magic, isn't it? It consists of using things such as minerals and vegetals to perform ancestral rituals in order to thanks or to call the good vibrations, that are supposed to help you to fight the bad ones, doesn't it?

Am I right to think that it can be considered as some kind of "religion" I could belong to?
And if not, then what do I belong to?
I feel things that are beyond me. Is it possible to try to communicate with these "energies", just as believers do when they pray?

I've been looking around for some site or some book about it, but what I found until now were rather things like:

Click on the link so you can read about
The ritual that can make you loose weight
The ritual that can make anyone fall in love you
The ritual that can make you become rich and famous

Obviously it's not what I'm looking for.

So I'm posting this hopefully there are some people around here that could help me read and learn more about it.

And to people that don't believe in premonitions: of course you can suppose that it's just a coincidence, but let's just say that these "coincidences" have really been too disturbing, too recurring and what happened next way too definitive for me just not to care.

First of all, I have to comment on the opening line of your post:

What makes you think we would "be shit" to you, and why would you even post on a forum where people were likely to respond with sarcasm and mockery?  If you don't get many responses to your post, realize that many people may have been so put off by this that they didn't read any further.

I did read it, but I'm not sure exactly what you're asking for.   I think you're requesting information about indigenous religions, paganism, etc., and wondering whether you fit into that category.  Is that right?   Besides looking at Shamanism in general, I also suggest you go download Montalk's book: http://montalk.net/book  It's free and loaded with information for people new to the 'fringe."

It's not religion based, nor will it point you in the direction of religion, but it has wonderful info on how being prepared for possible outcomes can help prevent them.  That seems to be one of the main issues you're facing right now- how to deal with your premonitions, and wondering how much you may be being influenced from outside negative forces.

Well I'm sorry to hear you took it this way. And I'm sorry all short if this sentence sounds like an insult. That's not what I meant at all.

I'm so used to hear "relax and have a chill pill" when I talk about something that makes me worried and it's the first time I'm talking to strangers about something so intimate. So I didn't know what reaction I should expect. Sorry again.

Thanks a lot for the link, I'm gonna check it out.

Re: Good & bad vibrations/white magic/I need some help and advice please

Hey Bunny,
They're many books on psychic self-defense to ward off those feelings of doom and gloom when they become too intense. Try remembering that feeling of reassurance and peace, but don't shut yourself off in a bubble of light. You're useful to no one at that point! It's a matter of balance: Accept your abilities, share them, but don't let them rule you.
You may want to establish a daily meditation ritual where you purify your psychic field, and perhaps include your family as well with their permission of course.

Re: Good & bad vibrations/white magic/I need some help and advice please

I kind of wondered about that after my post, how you must have been to some crappy forums before you came here.  I think if you peruse this forum, you'll see there's lots of information about the types of things you might be interested in.  Plenty of people take stands either for or against working with magic of all types, and there are many different definitions and viewpoints.

Oh, and I don't think the word "coincidence" is even in our vocabulary, LOL!

Re: Good & bad vibrations/white magic/I need some help and advice please

I've gone through a lot of things you are talking about. You are very energy sensitive okay? And yes you do need to learn how to shield and meditating once in awhile wouldn't hurt either. You need balance. Don't get involved with magic religions when you are a sensitive. I can tell you from personal experience you won't be able to handle the stuff coming through you. At one time I got into Wicca to find a way to control all my stuff. I'm one of those people that can make spells, tarot and ouija work for me and anything else you can think of in the divination arts. None of it made my life any better I was still getting knocked down by my own out there abilities. Your life is never going to be easy. I'm sorry. It is going to be an uphill journey the whole time. You will always have to watch yourself and be attentive to what's going on around the seen and unseen.

Here's a good defense book and balancing book that I like:

Practical Psychic Self-Defense: Understanding and Surviving Unseen Influences by Robert Bruce

But, this is just a start keep looking and I'm sure you'll finallly find the right combination that will work for you so that you can finally find balance and not be ruined by your abilities. Good luck!

I would have to say that I agree with belljar based on similar experience. Magic religions that use symbolic and ritual magic tend to open up portals through which "things" can come back and forth, and sometimes like to stay. I was also a succesful tarot reader, professional psychic, and I think that my nervous system got pretty fried by all these new age/occult focus on divination. I know for a fact that ouija boards are portals that get used a lot by the dark side, and I also know from experience that tarot carries with it a lot of entities, especially depending on the imagery in the deck. So, I don't believe that pagan religions and new age practices put me in touch with higher beings, higher law. I feel that I was exposed to some very dangerous stuff. Also elemental workings with a lot of these practices can conjure up stuff that is not to your benefit. I agree with druid when he quotes Anthroposophy and says that we should not interfere with other energetic life forms spiritual evolution by entrapping elementals and using their energy for our own purposes.

I don't necessarily agree with the idea that you have to have an "uphill" battle life, I think if you can come to terms with your psi skills, purify them through good intention and trust in higher law, protect yourself from negativity without becoming paranoid, but them in a context that feels comfortalbe for you, and find a community of people that support the positive development of true will (NR is a good example), that you will do fine. Of course these are all really hard things to do! I speak from experience-lala

For me keeping in balance is an uphill battle/journey it's just so easy to get out of whack. But, that's just been my experience. I'm glad some people have it so easy.

Do you have chemtrails in your area? I'm still sketchy on the whole topic but that paragraph made me think of them.. Literally "clouds of bad energy."

Re: Good & bad vibrations/white magic/I need some help and advice please

Hi, and welcome to the forum. Just go with what you know from experience, and build from there. If something you come across seems to have no practical application in your life, doesn't really make sense, lacks the ring of truth, or forces you to rationalize its validity despite intuition warning you that something is off about it -- then put it aside and look for something better!

People get into trouble when they compromise and settle into an organization or belief system that has underlying problems but attractively caters to their ego insecurities. In life, people choose whether they place truth over ego, or ego over truth -- whether what their pursuits satisfy a true spiritual craving, or merely feeds the hunger of that selfish, insecure, bitter, and ignorant ego inside.

So the trick is to go with the best guess that accounts for what you know to be true, and be open to changing your mind when something new and better comes along. It is okay to have conviction in something that later turns out to be a half-truth as long as you don't cling to the old by rejecting the new with poor and fallacious excuses.

There is lots of truth out there to be found, if you're looking for it. Whatever your current world view is, it's safe to assume that  in the future your view will be broader, more accurate, and more amazing in comparison, so do keep an open mind. At the same time, use your intuition and thinking skills to discern lies and half-truths early on, which is as simple as watching for red flags, inconsistencies, possible agendas, ego strokings, and intuitive warnings or utter lack of soul-deep enthusiasm.

Most important is gaining understanding, the kind that works when you apply it in life! When you understand how and why, that takes out a lot of the frustration of stumbling around in the dark. If you come across an idea that you cannot disprove through counter-example or doubt through intuition, then even if there is no direct proof for it now, it is a good idea to accept it just long enough to test it out and let what follows determine its worth. People who believe nothing until it's absolutely proven to them end up stuffing their minds into a little shoebox, limited to their five senses and the realm of "phenomena." There are other forms of reasoning, other forms of proof (personal proof, experiential proof, intuitive suggestions, abductive reasoning, process of elimination, indirect evidence) that provide the keys to getting past ignorance.

So anyway, I would recommend doing a survey of what's out there in terms of alternative belief systems. Keep in mind some belief systems have been created for ego by ego -- they are fluffy, controlling, superficial, ritualistic, mechanical, superstitious, or parochial in nature. Other ones are developed by honest truth seekers. Whatever the case, best to create your own based on what makes most sense to you, what is most applicable, and what most agrees with your intuition and experience. Lono recommended my book, and sure you can check that out too... maybe some pieces in there will click with you, if not now then later. There's a list for further reading at the end, which contains a list of books I have found most efficient in getting people up to speed on what's going on. Well, all the best to you!

Hey,

I wich I could answer to any single post but I don't have much time to do it today.
Thanks for the numerous informations and differents points of view. There are many things I want to check out/read about, now.

Also:

You mean none of it could bring any protection/positive energy to yourself and around you?
Cause I'm not expecting for my premonitions to stop, you know.
I just want to try to send the bad energies that I feel AWAY. I want to try to do it the best I can.

Well, I don't know what to think now that I read this. Actually I just found an online store and it sells a lot of stuff such as incense, herbs and minerals. The site has a lot of information, the products are cheap and it doesn't sounds touting, unlike all the other stores I visited. They also have a book about a huge variety of stones, magnetism, chakras and meditation. And some of these stones are supposed to be "protective", while some other are supposed to have the power to help you to manage to get out of anxiety, fear and confusion so...

montalk wrote:

I suppose that the good and bad vibrations that I can feel, in the air or emanating from people or situations are close to the magnetism they're talking about. I don't know, I thought I had to hold one in my hand first, so I could feel whether it was doing any good or not.
But if it's "dangerous" and can be considered as one of these magic religions that will make things even worst, then I suppose I'd better forget about it.

I'm curious though: why souldn't we "interfere with other energetic life forms spiritual evolution by entrapping elementals and using their energy for our own purposes"? I mean as long as your purpose is to keep someone good alive, for example, what bad could it do and why would it?

I think what I mean is that the point that I've come to with my own life and interdimensional workings is that I want to work with nature and natural forces, in harmony with good, higher dimensional light energies. My experience with magic and the occult and people who are into that stuff is that they enlist and sometimes command and harness elemental and other energies without realizing that this type of work has consequences, for instance sometimes the stuff will want to harness and use the practitioner of magic. I think the best use of true energetic force is to use one's own psi powers to enhance their own life in a positive way, which takes depth and insight to achieve. But I think montalk gave you good advice when he said explore and see what feels comfortable to you. There are things people need to experience and get what they need and then move on to other things that are more appropriate for their development.-lala

Re: Good & bad vibrations/white magic/I need some help and advice please

Crystals, stones and incense have about the same relationship to ritualistic paganism as grape juice does to Christianity. I don't hear people saying, "Christianity is a method of social control, so grape juice is mind control." But people do lump paganism, newage, ouija boards, and crystals and things together, so its not surprising people get confused. Some Christians I know like crystals, and others think that they must have been created by the devil. But life is too complicated to lump things together and class them as either "good" or "bad".

The problem people get into when they start exploring occult areas is the same one people face when looking to religion, politics or any other field to solve their problems. If you put your faith in something outside yourself to help you, then you're going to run into a brick wall eventually. So there's nothing wrong with exploration, and a lot of the things you'll find are really helpful at a particular time and place. But the people who do well are the ones that let their intuition guide them, instead of just wondering into a new agey shop thinking, "I'm a pagan, these things are pagany, I'll buy them. My crystal workshop book says these crystals are good, I'll get these as well."

I've got crystals and stones and incense and things, but after allowing my intellect to read up about, and select the ones I'm interested in, then my intuition and my bank balance get together and discuss which one's I'll get. All my stones and crystals have either been gifts or I picked them out myself, so I've had a chance to feel the energy and check if they feel compatible with me or not. When I ordered my last lot of incense, while looking at one of the types, I had this image in my mind of what  would have happened if I used it, it was really good at the start, but then the room started getting smoky, and being in an altered state, I panicked and got scared, this let in some pretty nasty things. Then when I was on that webpage, my internet connection cut out twice, even though I have broadband and my internet connection stays on solidly for days. I took both of these events to be signs that I shouldn't get that type, despite it being good for cleaning away negative energy.

So that's what I'd suggest, if you're not sure about something, try to imagine what it would be like if you did it, and spend some time seeing how it feels. That way you get to exercise your own intuition, and learn to rely on your own inner guidance instead of relying on other people completely to tell you what you should do.
