Topic: Farside type thought.....very silly and random

I have one of those little red light pens that you use as a pointer or a cat toy.  Well, my cats love to play with it, and so today I was putting it on one cat's paw, then "floating" it across the room, up to the wall, etc.  It looked so mysterious and unexplainable from a cat's point of view, that I had to wonder what they thought it was.

That's when all of a sudden, I got this hilarious image of humans chasing a mystery light down a dark road, and some hyper-dimensional beings having a good laugh.  "Shine it over there!  Now, turn it off and let's see what he does....  hee-hee!  Now make it show up in that tree...."

Re: Farside type thought.....very silly and random

or imagine a chicken sitting on a boot print from the farmer, telling his friends: "come on guys, if you sit in here, you'll have eternal life because our special visitor will love you" tongue

or imagine the chickens who fight to be the "chosen one" because he comes every morning to take thei egg!

Is this world we are talking really serious?

I think it's hilarious, the only thing we can rely on is our love, because it never moves and is not subject to any illusion, except the ones we build for explaining wink

Re: Farside type thought.....very silly and random

So true!  I can just see chickens clamoring for the farmer's attention, saying that some special one gets chosen to be 'taken away' to paradise each week... when it's really the farmer's Sunday dinner.

Sort of what the rapture/ascension probably is...somebody's dinner.

Re: Farside type thought.....very silly and random

Cartoon I saw a while ago. A little kid with a big grin on his face and a halo around his head is holding a universe full of galaxies and stars. A patriarchal god-type is frowning at him and saying "Enough fooling around, now do it right". The Gnostics thought God was crazy. Maybe he(she) is just fooling around... wink

We're all butterflies flapping our wings and changing the world.

If WIH is right, then that's exactly what it is.

Re: Farside type thought.....very silly and random

Believe it or not my mother has a series she listens to that helps her be ready and prepare for rapture. The voice of the man doing it has a tone of mind control in it and he repeates things several times. She's always been a very religious person but I've noticed in the last couple of years she has gotten obsessed. It is all she listens to watches and does. I'm like how in the hell did I come from you? Can't help her either won't listen it's like nobody is home or ever was.

Re: Farside type thought.....very silly and random

Wow, a CD preparing you for the rapture, repeating phrases over and over?  That's kind of scary.   I mean, I know religion is based on mind control, but they usually try to cloak it at least somewhat.

Re: Farside type thought.....very silly and random

I was going to say, how do you even prepare for such an event like the "rapture"? Wouldn't preperation be useless because it's basically an instantaneus judgement of souls?

Re: Farside type thought.....very silly and random

Well I think it's just another example of someone trying to control their fate not realizing that it's only as real as they want it to be. I came in and found her watching a tv ministry and she was crying as she usually does when watching or reading anything religious. I said: What is wrong with you? Her reply was to point at the tv that was talking about Jesus and judgement and say: This is real. I said: Only as real as you want it to be.

A lot of those super-religious people are hooked through high emotion.  I often wonder why they don't see how addictive those melodramatic, saccharine feelings are.

Re: Farside type thought.....very silly and random

Wow, that must be a pretty hard thing to deal with Belljar.  My father is addicted to science and atheistic Darwinism, but he will at least listen to and discuss my theories with me.
