Re: Dreams

Hello everyone,
I have been watching and reading mostly everday to all you very enlightened beings and it is a pleasure to be in a forum with you all...thankyou!
I would like to tell you about a dream I had just recently and pass it on...it is an abridged version...I hope you enjoy!

I awoke early hours of the morning of 15/10/04, saying thankyou, thankyou, several times as I fully awoke.

I was in a large home, in a wide hallway, not recognisable to me, with a lot of people around. From the hallway, I was facing the opened door at the front entrance, which was raised fairly high off the ground, I saw and heard people gasping and pointing to the sky.  I looked ahead into the sky, where I saw the sky starting to explode from a central point with very small bright exploding lights in a circle of sorts, they started to flash and erupt, then they formed together as a whole, then all of a sudden their was like a thunder/crack of noise and the whole sky in front of us all become this incredible bright light, l felt pulled towards the light as did all those around me, people started being drawn outside by the enticing bright but warm light that lit the sky and engulfed us all.
My Siamese cat, was down beside me, I picked him up and held him close to me, gently telling him everything was alright...he relaxed as I comforted him. We quickly moved outside, where people were coming from everywhere yelling and calling out with concern. Many of the people were so anxious asking what was going on, as we were all being drawn and lifted towards the bright, but soft engulfing source of light ahead. It gave me a feeling of being waitless, compeling and warm, engulfing my entire being.  I started to move/float quickly ahead. This energy of light removed all gravity from me, I was being lifted from the ground and being moved up and forward, like a warm breeze that was pulling to a source ahead. People all around me were scared and calling out, I was able to stop myself from moving ahead, with thought, and called out to all those out there and around me telling them they were safe and that this has happened before...many times, along time ago. I told them to relax and that everything would be all right.  My words comforted them and I just saw them all being lifted and engulfed by the light without seeing their bodies any longer.
The next thing I felt, I felt safety and happiness consoling these beings... I then felt an energy pull me back, and whilst this was happening, I heard a piano, just a few tinkers, as I slowly awakened. I remember trying to keep the sound of the tinkering piano going, as I didn't want to loose the sound or let go from where I was.   I awakened, hearing my voice say, “thankyou, thankyou for teaching me this information“?
Once fully awake, I lay there analysing my experience with excitement ...and then sat down at my desk to record my experience, as I felt very strongly that this was important information that needed to be recorded.

Re: Dreams

A DREAM MESSAGE AND SOME RANDOM THOUGHTS

Earlier this morning when looking at the web I had a recollection of last night during sleep hearing a voice saying something to the effect of "the earth is a mousetrap and we are the cheese."   I'm fairly certain that I did not read this anywhere earlier and that it is in fact something I got from a dream.

If there IS a war going on out there which we are not privy to know about, as suggested by the "Free Your Brain" website or the film Alien vs. Predator, maybe one group is using the human race as bait to trap the others somehow.  I was just reading from "The Book of the SubGenius" the other day and in discussing the Conspiracy, it argues that what aliens find so intriguing about us (and want to harvest FROM us) is our very souls, which arise from the unique bioelectric matrix which is our consciousness and is of a type that we humans uniquely possess.

This is not an isolated idea.  I recall recently watching a rerun of Star Trek: The Next Generation in which Data, the android officer, begins to experience dreams, and experiences a vision of his creator (Architect) who explains to him that the fact that he is experiencing the vision indicates that Data has now progressed past a crucial stage in his cognitive development and the road ahead is open and all is possible. The creator says he was not sure  whether or not this would be possible due to the fact that the matrix which provides for Data's consciousness had an undeterminable potential.  The implication and analogy being, as I interpret it, that the soul itself is a sort of emergent property that arises from a lower order of consciousness.  I'm not one to quote Star Trek on a regular basis but I think the idea has merit.

Anyway food for thought.

Re: Dreams

I'm with you on this. I can "relate". Very good post.

I think the "Free Your
Brain" stuff is crazy zen wisdom and right on target.

Re: Dreams

This dream is over 7 years old and it is in total blackness with the exception of a stair case that is rickety and narrow and leads downward but has no pattern in its downward plunge.  The stairs are highlihted but the blackness is just as bright or apparent.
I'm chased by a large clackety figure with extemely long extremities and overlarge box-shaped head with protruding features in the face that are very dominant.

Fear was overwhelming as I awoke sweating and with one loud yell.

? I don't know what it means if anything.

I've just became awakened in the last week.*

Hello.  This is my first post.

Re: Dreams

Hello blackcat! Nice to have you here. Do any of you have residual dream images upon awakening? Like last night, I had just drifted off to sleep and then awoke quickly. On the wall in front of me I could see a pattern of red and blue lights that slowly disappeared. Of course, there is nothing in this room that could produce such a light pattern. Sometimes I even see objects in the room, and when I reach out to touch them they disappear. At most, these images last for about five seconds before they fade completely.

Re: Dreams

Hi blackcat and welcome,

Dreams are a very personal thing so it's probably good advice to beware of cookie-cutter explanations or "dream dictionaries."  Another good example is the ongoing debate on another thread on this very forum where a few people are going back and forth with each other over the definition of what it means to be "awakened."  Subjective subjects like these more often than not don't have black-and-white answers.

All that being said, it's interesting and sometimes quite enlightening to float ideas back and forth.   The idea that comes to my mind when reading your dream is that of a descent into the darkness of the unknown being frought with danger .. you have to be very careful where to step on this dark rickety staircase or you might easily trip and fall .. there's a lot of false, misleading or outright hazardous material out there that you have to watch out for.  I'm not sure if that applied to you in any way 7 years ago or not ... if you were a "questioning" type of person already back then.  No ideas on what the monster represents specifically, though perhaps it does indicate a need to "get to the bottom of things" before something frightening or undesirable catches up to you.

Neo:

Yes -- quite frequently.  I really should start keeping a notepad by my bed as the Silva people used to suggest to capture the details before they fade (as they usually do, quite quickly.)

Re: Dreams

Neo, I've had this several times. It's like the eyes are open and data's coming in, but the internal observer is still getting signals from the dream world so there is perceptual "cross talk". Might be that staying in this twilight state is the key to seeing nonphysical critters and auras since the consciousness filtering mechanism is disabled. Once we emerge into waking level alpha/beta waves these nonlinear thoughts and visual anomalies disappear.

Example: yesterday I dreamt of watching a stage hypnotist command the audience into closing their eyes and visualizing divine forces come down and enter the room - he then told the audience to open their eyes. Skeptically I opened my eyes and was amazed that the scene had changed to a white ceiling - I could hear the other audience members gasping in amazement at this trick. In reality, I had physically opened my eyes and was looking at the ceiling despite audio still continuing in the dream. My body was paralyzed as it was in sleep and I eventually struggled my way out of it, laughing at the irony of mistaking waking reality (the bedroom ceiling) as a hallucination induced by the hypnotist, who himself was just a dream character.

Acquiring fringe knowledge is like digging for diamonds in a mine field.

Man, that was one cool dream you had. I think that there's an important lesson to be learned there, though (not that you hadn't already!) tongue

I think that what is happening is that our consciousness is still "tuned" away from physical reality and it takes some time for it to "re-tune" once the eyes are opened. So, yeah, you get "crosstalk" from having physical sensory input combined with non-physical sensory input. It is very interesting, though. Perhaps this blurring of realities is similar to the effects of taking mushrooms, or ayahuasca, or LSD.

Re: Dreams

I had this dream the other night, a recurring dream, that seems to be a lesson.  I've had these "exercises" of bending empty bars without force.  Try as I might, I cannot bend the bar as long as I try to.  The moment I let go and just bend it without force, it bends.  The other night was the next step, I suppose.  This old man was telling me that the quality that something possesses becomes it completely.  I understood this to mean that since the bar was empty, it could be bent because emptiness is easy to bend.  I then asked him if that meant that if I just imagine it to be empty, then would it become empty and easy to bend?  He said no, and maybe a little frustrated that I didn't get it.  Sorry, Old Man!  It's a hard lesson to learn!  I still don't understand it. sad

Anyway, is this thing typical, these dream lessons?  I was wondering about personal experiences/lessons, and what you guys thought of them personally.

Re: Dreams

That was it.  Bending the bar.  All other times it was just me trying to do it.  This is the only time I can remember an old man teaching me anything.  I guess I needed help?  The only other time that I can say I remember an old man is a dream I had when I was young, maybe around five, but he wasn't teaching me, though he did appear as a shepherd.

Anyway, my "lesson" dreams are all about the same.  Learning to fly was one of them.  I can now do that with ease.  It became a part of me, so that I just "know" I can fly whenever I remember it, in any dream.  Bending the hollow bar is another one, obviously.  Another one has to do with fighting.  If I try to overcome my enemy by wanting to defeat him by striking with force, my fists are ineffectual.  I haven't learned this one yet, but I think I can guess what the solution is.  Don't try!  Just do it!  These things that are learned are above conscious control, like going beneath all that and relearning on a deep level, a level of fundamental beliefs.  It doesn't always come so easy, especially in a dream, where your logic isn't always yours to choose.

The things that make these lessons so hard is that they are so backwards from what I have come to believe here, in the "real world".  It really lies at the foundation.

Re: Dreams

Anybody else have these sorts of things?  Or am I just dealing subconsciously with issues of helplessness?  How embarrassing.

Re: Dreams

Hey Haven,

I've been contemplating what you have written. These are my thoughts, since I'm only just starting to practice lucid dreaming.

Now you are moving beyond the object of the "empty bar" to the nature or quality of the bar. And I have 2 thoughts here.

1) Metals vary in structure which affects their inherent "hardness/strength"  so this thought is to vary the structure or type of metal or,

2) Metals are affected by temperature and if you think from an emotional level, hate tends to be thought of as cold/rigid/unforgiving, while love tends to be warm/malleable/forgiving. So infuse a portion of love into the bar and it becomes love?

I also just had two more thoughts. It could be the quality has to do with both your and the bars perception of itself. If I recall correctly I've read that each dimension has awareness/consciousness...just varying degrees. If you see it as a slave and subserviant to you...command it to bend. If you value it request it to help/serve you and ask it to bend itself/shape itself.

Let me know what you think and keep us posted. I'm still removing strongholds of procrastination, undiscipline, fear, cold love and disbelief out of me.

Or

Peace,
Teddy

Re: Dreams

I have no idea what it means.  The quality of the object becomes the object.  What's odd is that I think that one would be able to fudge the rules in dream states, but they hold their own laws of physics.  Like, when learning to fly.  Eventually, you get tired of trying to fly and failing, so you just fake it and fly.  But it's always detached when you're faking it.  Same with fighting.  You're not in the moment.  It's like watching a play.  You become an observer.  It's not satisfying at all.

An object completely becomes a quality that it possesses?  The question that I asked him, whether I could just assume something was hollow and therefore be able to bend it, was along the lines of mind over matter, like what I assume infusing it with love would be like.  Just change its nature in your mind and it will become that.  But that was wrong.  It was confusing to think that there were these rules, that I had to learn to bend this bar.  I was stumped.

The only thing I can think of as of now is a strange thing I observe in real life, though it is subtle and maybe apt to be a product of more imagination than reality.  I think that if you hold onto a thought, then let it go, others can then pick it up.  Hold onto something, build it up, then let it go.  I've noticed it a few times in my life.  Also, it works with making things happen.  I'm so comfortable with this concept of making things happen that I just flat out ask it to happen or visualize it.  Some form of desire.  But it has to be an odd state of mind, like taught in the dreams.  To treat it as normal, to let it blend in, to not invest yourself into the object.

I don't know.  It'll come to me, though.  Once my mind latches onto something, it'll start popping up ideas.  I just sit and catch the shine.

Hey Haven

Here is something that I dreamed some years back. I had a dream where I would learn how to move through walls and then I would teach my friend to do the same. I had to explain to them that they can do it just like me because the wall isn't what it seems; it is actually made of atoms between which there is empty space. I used to tell them that they can do it if they focus hard enough. Now keep in mind that this was before I learned in school to be so.
So I don't think you are dealing with a helplessness issue. It is something deeper. Don't ask me what because I don't know the answer because you just made me think about this old dream that I had set aside in a corner of my mind.

I dare any alien to come to meet with me. If you are out there come see me I'll keep it between us (no publicity). Do you have what it takes? ...thought so! Or do you think you are to good for me?  ha ha ha ha
