Re: opinions about the ra material

To put it very simply - it was my 'red pill'.

Vincit omnia Veritas: Truth conquers all.

Re: opinions about the ra material

The Ra material is a dangerous source and attempt to foster deep metaprogramming and permanently embed it in peoples' psyches and beyond into greater levels of their total being.
It has programmed the better part of people in this forum to believe in something they keep repeating over and over again as if it were written on stone tablets and handed them by God.
This is memesis and programming that people are blindly accepting and incorporating into crystallized belief systems that keep spreading through language without being properly pondered.
Also the manifest physical universe is not infinite, but definitely finite.
Only the source is infinite.
Otherwise the negative state could go on forever which it definitely never was supposed to do.
There are a few threads on the sight currently where undercurrents of what needs to be realized is trying itself to come out but its not there yet. Right now the real issue is being skirted mainly by egoic responses and posturing. The religions have been doing this for zeons.
What I would say is people need to be very careful of what they defend and what they are willing to believe is a good idea. There is an over the top focus on hyperdimensional information and its not what its cracked up to be.
The permutations on paradox and double standard are what approach infinity in this plane.
Children and people with awareness know that things are altered.

Re: opinions about the ra material

To me the Ra Material was my first real awakening. I remember Don Elkins sitting in a small room in the back of a church explaining how the universe was set up. I felt like I was in the presense of a pure soul, who only wanted to spread the truth. Then, as now, the goal of Don, Carla and Jim was to spread the word. In those days, they freely gave the information away, asking only for donations to cover the cost of printing.

Over the years, I have seen lots of BS that masqurades as knowledge, but the information in the RA Material has always had the ring of truth to it. To put it bluntly, I love the stuff.

As with all things that are presented as truth, however, it is your job to learn if it resonates as truth for you.

Hope this helps,
WizardT

Re: opinions about the ra material

Before getting to the rest of my post, let me preface this by saying that I'm not emotionally invested in the Ra material - I own 2 of the 4 books, but my conclusion is neutral.  Neither for nor against, as a lot of the information I just can't "prove" either way.  It's a classic case of "only time will tell."   Any time I've tried to go back and re-read the books I find wading through the language syntax to be slightly draining.  My focus wanders all around when reading it, so inevitably I put it aside.  However it's still an interesting read nonetheless and I did find there were lot of points that I could in fact relate to.  But again, my overall conclusion is neutral.  Read it if it's the sort of material that interests you, and draw your own conclusions based on what your personal experiences have shown you.

So with that established......

Can you be more straightforward, and cite specific examples of what this deep metaprogramming is?   Anybody can make a claim about anything, but by not elaborating on the specifics it becomes a relatively meaningless point.

How can you make this assumption about what material has or hasn't influenced "the better part of this forum" ?  How did you come to this conclusion?

How do you know what "the better part of this forum":

A) Has or hasn't read;
B) Has accepted and integrated as an actual part of their belief system?

I don't see references and quotes from the Ra material all around NR, nor do I see oft-quoted references to Ra at the expense of other material.   Not the way you're making it sound.  So where you come up with a statement like this is beyond me.

StarCat wrote:

This is your personal opinion, based on assumptions, with a hefty dose of exaggeration thrown in for good measure.   You can't know that someone is just blindly accepting material without properly pondering it first, because you're not them.

Recently there was a New Age poster who would say the same thing to people in the chat room who questioned or flat out disagreed with the material that he promoted.  "YOU obviously didn't read it well enough then!  YOU need to go back and re-read it!"  (implication being...."if you just read it enough times you'll eventually see it the way I do and conclude what I concluded and be just like me.")  He just couldn't accept that people HAD read his material....and still thought it was bunk!

And here you're doing a related aspect of this - because some people have accepted the Ra material and what it talks about, and it differs from what you belief and what you would like to see others believe, you're claiming that Oh, they're just blindly accepting the memes and obviously aren't pondering things deeply.

StarCat wrote:

Absolutely.  This is a good point, and one that people have mentioned here at NR.   Use discernment with all things.

However, what you're failing to incorporate into your post is the fact that maybe, just maybe, some people here at NR have experiences that match up to what's being presented in the Ra material.  So that for those who do enjoy the Ra material, it's for a very good reason - because they've seen and experienced some, possibly many, of the things Ra discusses.

StarCat wrote:

Personal opinion.  What I see when I look around NR is very different.

StarCat wrote:

Very true....that's why again, people have to use discernment when reading anything.  Many sources are a mixed bag.  Some have more disinfo. than valid info., while others have more valid material than disinfo.  So sift wisely and use discernment.

Anyway, this is just my two cents, coming from somebody whose final conclusion on the Ra material is neutral.  Some of it I agree with, other stuff I just can't know yet, because only time will tell.  And this post probably comes off as being a tad on the defensive side, but it's because I've been reading StarCat's posts for months now, seeing all these little digs at NR and personal exaggerated opinions being passed off as if they're fact.  Thought I'd finally question it.

ps sidetnote:  Because I suspect this is something that might be said by somebody, (because the whole "missing the point" thing has been an issue before...)  but to clarify, the problem here isn't that someone doesn't like the Ra material or has a "dissenting opinion" - I can totally understand that, as my own opinion on it all is neutral, at best.   Rather, it's the generalities being said about the NR forum members and purporting to know where NR members are coming from that made me frown.

Re: opinions about the ra material

As soon as individuals form groups, the individual loses his or her sovereignty to group mind and to the ego of  groups leaders and i think this holds true for the Ra and cassiopean channelled stuff just as much as by giving your mind up to any cult.
I firmly believe that only as a soveriegn  individual will one stand a chance of finding higher selves and truths and not by playing apprentice to a third party channellor no matter how appealing it may appear to the ego or no matter how popular  and accepted the information has become by other truth seekers.

The choice is to use very strong discernment when reading material like this, be aware that astral entities pretend to be what they are not and be honest with yourself about why a third party channellor should be given more credibilty than what your own mind can discover.

We are programmed to look for others for all the answers which is why we are lead by so many fakes and frauds and we are afraid of our own power, so we hand it over to others to decide truth for us.

Its not like we are fractions of the whole but rather versions of the whole.

Ive never read the Ra material, dont plan on it, but I think that is for each individual to decide for themselves.

Re: opinions about the ra material

As a response to Barefoot Doc's post,
I would say that a cult is exactly the opposite of what is truly needed for the future. What is needed is a community of independent individuals linking themselves to each other in order to achieve a new level of understanding, to make a step further towards the STO (that is the goal of our mutual striving). It is called in Revelation the Church of Philadelphia. Those siritual groups that will form themselves will be a tiny minority of pure STO individuals (or STO candidates) and they will be the tiny protion that will be saved from the War of All Against All, thus they will form the seed of the next civilisation. Without those STO candidates linking themselves to each other in service to a greate good, all civilisation and humanity shall perish... We are either standing at the grave of civilisation or at a new beginning, it depends not only on your point of view but also on your STO or STS soul orientation.  I use Ra and Cs terms just to be understood. I am independent from their views. I prefer those of Steiner, who is not a medium but a scientist, wiseman and seer. A truly exceptional individual. We canot say that much of medium; mediums have taken the unconscious way, they want knowledge without changing themselves. their knowledge comes from the subconscious realms, which is open to the underworld, or subnature, and all its deceptive denizens.

Re: opinions about the ra material

i do exactly what lyra does when i read RA.  i agree, i go all over the place and cant focus as well as usual.  i think its the syntax too.  i like CA better=Cosmic Awareness.  theyre two definitely different sources for sure.  i should thank too, however it is/was that posts some new material from a website that still gets transmissions every now and again on here.  so---thanks to whomever that is.  belatedly but appreciated.

druid--i agree too with what u just posted above.  yep.  i say lets get this show on the road.  sick of waiting and waiting all the damn time.  oh well.  when the shit hits the fan, i will probably complain.

Re: opinions about the ra material

When I first read the Ra Material, the language was too complex and the metaphysics too dense and lofty to hold my interest. Several years later, after exploring the more palatable Cassiopaean transcripts, I gave the Ra Material another look and was surprised to find it easier to understand, that it addressed many of the unanswered questions I had accumulated in the mean time. Year earlier the material was not necessary for me to pursue, and therefore I had little passion for it.

Maybe a third of the material I find dubious or inaccurate, but the rest has provided me with some decent working hypotheses. If there's something wrong with a particular concept in the Ra Material, then I would like to understand both the flaw and its superior alternative, otherwise for me it stands.

As for Cosmic Awareness, I enjoy its fearless exploration of dark subjects without being apocalyptic or alarmist, but the channeled answers can be quite hit-or-miss at times. If anyone's interested, download a zip file of 93-95 CA sessions and a PDF of scanned Cosmic Awareness Newsletters.

Re: opinions about the ra material

We may all choose to accept or 'take in' any or all of the information from Ra - if you choose to read it.  Forming views is unnecessary - going further and perverting the information or promoting it religiously or in cult form may very well have negative or even dire consequences would it not?  Agreeance is one thing, everyone following one mind is another - agree/disagree?

Assimilation of information should also be considered I'd say - Is it not an acceptable path to 'take on board' information with the notion 'it may be useful at some point' or to even accept on the basis 'it provides the best solution or ideal view I have found thus far, so therefore I will keep it until I find better'?

Is it not a stagnation of progress when one automatically assumes a view being passed or all outside forces as being powered by agendas?

In light of STS/STO orientation - if we understand and agree - is the importance of choosing and acting  with one's choice not the important part, rather than the view itself?

I am also in support of Lyra's post in general.

Re: opinions about the ra material

nogueroles,
I found this summary of the Ra material to be accurate with the books and much easier to read.
The Ra materials resonated with me.

Re: opinions about the ra material

Ra Material was my first paradigm shift book.  unfortunately, I did not use much discernment when reading! I absolutely ate Book 1 up- I absorbed the content easily and so much of the material made great sense to me at the time.  The entire channeling scene is fascinating to me; especially the 'professional units' such as Ra.  Oddly enough, I have gotten the feeling that Ra is somehow tied to the Council of Nine.  And just as Ra preaches human beings to emanate love and specific rays, does not the council of nine state through a mediate that they feed off of love vibrations.

The entire Loosh farm scenario hits close to home.  It makes sense (then again reality has made less and less sense to me) that everything is recycled and consumed to maintain the balance of existence.  thus our energy that we produce through this material experience would be livestock for another entity.  against our will?  or are we experiencing and learning while at the same time helping another being - killing two birds with one stone? ofcourse, the answer is more dynamic than what we can comprehend.  fish in a glass bowl or an ant in the yard, indeed.

Montalk, I'm interested to know what parts in particular you find dubious or inaccurate.

Not that I'm saying it's all accurate, as I see many possibilities falling in a "time will tell" category.
