Of course you can delude yourself endlessly that you're really freeing yourself and/or becoming more enlightened.

I agree with this -- it's very true.  Stuart Wilde even mentions that pot "tears holes in your etheric."  The after effects of smoking pot long term can be paranoia and fear, which is actually counterproductive of where one needs to be.  It may mellow somebody out while they're puffing, but when the fattie's done and it's back out into the "real" world  wink  that person now has all the THC residue on their brain and whatever long term after effects go with it.

Something else I wanted to add to your comments is that drugs are also a "shortcut" to enlightenment.   It's better if one gets their on their own through their own - sober - realizations, because then it's an actual spiritual lesson you've learned or gleaned, versus the shortcut route via drugs.   I lump hallucinigenics into this as well......actually even MORE so than the maryjane.    I think Hallucinagins are a trap.   People see / glimpse things before they're ready to fully handle and process it, or even worse, they get the "Cliff's Notes" version of spiritual lessons but without having actually gone through the process of learning it.    It's like short cutting to your end destination without going through the journey itself.   I don't know about anybody else, but I would feel cheated!  smile

Re: Marijuana

Oh dear, some horribly innacurate assumptions from you there Lyra.

lyra wrote:

No they're not. Drugs DON'T many anyone enlightened and I don't really know anyone that claims they do. And if anyone came here and did claim that drugs made them enlightened I'd probably be amongst the first to laugh at them.

I think Hallucinagins are a trap.   People see / glimpse things before they're ready to fully handle and process it

A terrible assumption to make and who are you to say who is ready to handle and process something? Now if you're talking about teenagers that are just taking drugs cos it's fun and it gets them high, then I agree with you wholeheartedly. However my experience in Brazil is that the majority of people going there are middle-aged people who have been fairly longterm spiritual seekers who are wanting to take their knowledge/experience to another level (just like Icke did), which is exactly what Ayahuasca does. It usually helps you to clarify and often experience what you already 'know' and understand.

or even worse, they get the "Cliff's Notes" version of spiritual lessons but without having actually gone through the process of learning it.

Again, the majority of people I've taken ayahuasca with HAVE gone through the process of learning it. I don't know anybody that sees it as a fast-track to enlightenment, and if they did then it would leave them very disappointed.

It's like short cutting to your end destination without going through the journey itself.   I don't know about anybody else, but I would feel cheated!  smile

I think you're missing an important point. Most people see hallucinogens like ayahuasca as PART of their journey. It's certainly been an important part of my journey. Nobody I've ever known has taken ayahuasca and then said "Wow, that's it, i've reached the destination, I'm enlightened!" That's just ludicrous and if that's what you think people are like then I suggest you learn a bit more about the subject and even talk to real people who have done ayahuasca.

I think at the very most, after taking ayahuasca, people probably think they've taken a few big steps further along from where they were, but I don't see anything wrong with that.

I've said a few times before, these substances are teachers, nothing more and nothing less. Yes they give some pretty powerful lessons, but to say that people aren't ready for those lessons is extremely patronising in my opinion. Nobody becomes enlightened by reading a book, or attending a lecture, and likewise noone becomes enlightened from taking ayahuasca or mushrooms or whatever. But all of them help us learn and they can all take us a bit further along whatever path we're walking.

I think David Icke said well with:

David Icke wrote:

I had long understood that our 'real' world was only an illusion generated from our minds, but in January 2003 and the months that followed I was to 'see' this for myself in a way that taught me so much more about the 'Matrix through which the human family is held in 'disconnected' servitude.

I was invited to speak at a gathering of people at a location in the Amazon rainforest about an hour's drive or so from Manaus in northern Brazil. The event, over ten days, would offer the participants the opportunity to experience the
'psychoactive' effects of a plant called ayahuasca, which has been used by South American shamans for hundreds of years (at least) to take people into other states of consciousness beyond the five-sense realm. Ayahuasca is known as the 'teacher plant' because it allows people to experience these unseen realms where so much can be learned about self, life and reality. It is also dubbed the 'plant of the gods', no doubt because it can allow you to see those dimensions where the 'gods' of myth reside. In fact, it was the number of times that participants at these events had seen reptilian entities and imagery in their altered states of awareness that led the organisers to invite me.

Ayahuasca is much used in religious ceremonies and rituals in parts of Brazil and it is quite legal in such circumstances. Around the 'Western World' it is largely illegal to own or take the brew, as it is with potions in general that can transport our conscious awareness beyond the five-senses. I wonder why?? I jumped at the chance to accept the Amazon offer, although I had some reservations at one point when I learned of the possible physical effects of vomiting and shitting with a vengeance. Once I was assured that the participants would be made well aware of this before they proceeded, I agreed to be there. I knew this was the dimensional door I was looking for to take the next step in my journey. I had reached the age of 50 without consuming a single drug or potion that was labelled 'psychoactive'; no magic mushrooms, no nothing. But I could go no further in my understanding without taking my conscious awareness to places beyond the veil. I also learned that even those who were regular experiencers of mushrooms and other such reality changers were aware that ayahuasca was immensely powerful.

Re: Marijuana

One thing I will add. Although I've never witnessed it myself, I guess it is possible that some people will come out of an ayahuasca experience and consider themselves enlightened.  Stuart Wilde wrote an article on this which is on the Heart of Initiate website:

Claridad, the Primal Trick

Article by Stuart Wilde

There is term in shamanism called claridad, it comes from the word clarity but in fact, it is the opposite of clarity. Often on an Ayahuasca journey the student will enter into the primal force in all things, it's like stumbling into the arms of God. At first they are overawed but when they return they imagine they are God, or the embodiment of God: Jesus, Buddha, whatever. That is what the shamans call claridad–the false prophet.

In the seminar business we call them 'the forty-fours'. In numerology the Christ Consciousness is 44. So our use of the term describes their pretense to a god-like status. The forty-fours are very grand and holy and chosen. They make a great show of loving others, while silently looking down their nose at people. They are always bad news. They cause trouble and sometimes they become angry when others don't see them in the same divine light.

The forty-fours are everywhere, some only have a mild form of the disquiet, they are pompous say, others buy claridad full-on and they are wearing diapers on their heads and wandering around in robes and so forth–good for a giggle but it's a bit deadly really.

We all suffer from a touch of the forty-fours from time-to-time, the trick is to nip it in the bud quickly. But if you really do think you are Jesus ask yourself this, "Am I still here?" If you are Christ you will have a command of twenty-six dimensions and you would be able to walk in and out of this space-time continuum, basically if you are still here you aren't Christ-sorry. And even if you can walk out of here, you still might not be Christ as doing so might be as common as muck one day. But using "Am I still here?" is a good way of evaluating your current progress, testing your level of Jesusness for any semblance of truth.

Claridad is comical and tragic. It is there to protect the divine and to trick you into your own destruction. If you get a really bad dose of claridad it can kill you. This because eventually you have to set up your own crucifixion to sustain the illusion of your divinity. Cancer is a form of claridad; rogue cells that eat healthy ones to sustain their illusion of immortality. There has never been a case of cancer that didn't go to its death. Either the cells are killed by treatment or the immune system, or they die once the person passes away.

One can't really heal a forty-four, one has to wait until something awful happens to them to bring them back down. You can help a bit by bowing down and pretending to recognize their divinity that will keep them alive for a bit, but try not to piss in your pants laughing, it spoils the cure. Then rise when allowed and flee. There could be a thunderbolt someplace around there quite soon.

Wow Ayahuasca......get defensive much??   big_smile

All I can say is, I wanted to put in my view on things and yet I knew that you specifically were going to get on here and just jump all over it.  I had to make a decision....do I go ahead with what I'd like to say so that *everybody* on the forum can read the post for consideration, or, do I censor myself and keep quiet because Ayahuasca is going to jump on it?   Well, I went ahead and posted my thoughts anyway.   Interesting that it went exactly as I knew it would.    Oh well.

Re: Marijuana

i dont mean to sound like a Kerry Flip Flopper, but i agree with both sides of these arguments.

the KEY problem here, which ALL should consider, is if the Drug (pot in this case) controls YOU, instead of YOU controlling the DRUG. im sure many have heard that saying, its probably even been said in this thread here.

I would have to say that if i never smoked weed, and then never took acid/mushrewms, i dont think i would be here @ NR today (maybe it would have took me longer to find this place)

drugs do open your mind, but after your mind has been opened, then the drug is no longer needed (or no longer needed in such immense quantities)

only smoke high quality pot, if u want to smoke it.
if possible get the G13 shit, its said to *not* create paranoia
(any high grade will be better)

But, with the Pot aside (i have decided to quit smoking for one month to see how i feel) other drugs are also very beneficial to the person whos looking for answers / spirituality / universe / god / etc...

shrewms (mushrooms) seem to be very very mild and not harmful (watch your dose) and can give you good insight. it may not be as spiritual as Ayahuasca, but then again its not as potent and powerful as Aya (i hear you always throw up on Aya, shrewms dont really make u barf)

LSD, XTC, they are o.k... but not good for extended use. try them if u want but dont do them alot. these are the drugs that punch holes all over your body.

as for pot tearing the etheric, im not all to sure about that, but one thing that i know for sure, is that smoking pot hinders your remembrance of dreams. shit it also screws with your short term memory.

but this is coming from someon who smokes on the regular, a few times a day.
i cant remember my dreams... sometimes i dont think i have any!

the truth is, anything can be bad for you, just as anything can be good for you.

you just have to find the right amount or moderation of better termed: BALANCE

hope that helps (and no hard feelings guys, we're all good friends here)

I don't think anyone's asking you to censor yourself. I 'jumped' on you not just because I don't agree with your opinion, but because you were saying a few things that I think are extremely innacurate and I just wanted to set the record straight.

Hallucinogenics are not a short-cut to enlightenment and I think it's dangerous for people to think that they are. And hallucinogenics are not seen as a destination, but an important part of the journey. There is a huge difference there.

By you're own admission you've never taken hallucinogens, and judging by your comments in this thread and others, it's clearly a subject you know very little about.  Perhaps you should learn about hallucinogens before you make statements about them, and I don't mean take them, but just read up on them.

Two books I can really recommend are Terrence McKenna's "Food of the Gods" which you can download from my directory in the file section. And Daniel Pinchbeck's "Breaking Open The Head". Both books are worth reading even if you're not all that interested in the subject.

I don't have problem with people who are against taking hallucinogens, it's a very personal choice and I would always respect peoples decision on that. I just don't like to see people making inaccurate or misleading statements about them.

Re: Marijuana

Hey zonabi,

I hear you.   And I'm not trying to sound all "moralistic" or anything, so I hope my thoughts didn't come across that way.  Hell, I used to have a Bill Hicks quote as my tagline, "Take mushrooms, folks!  Squeegee your third f****** eye!!"    I just thought that was hilarious, equating shrooms to a squeegee for your mind!  big_smile  I've never taken shrooms though, just smoked pot, different grades / quality of it.   I don't have much experience at all with drugs...the pot was it.  Not counting alcohol.   wink   But, I do have ideas on the matter from what I've witnessed of those around me.   I tend to think it can be a shortcut, tend to think that most of it isn't something one should be putting into their body, and overall, wouldn't recommend it as the way to go for those seeking answers and illumination into our reality.   With the ol' marijawana it's not the same stuff anymore our parents smoked.   I've smoked bottom of the rung pot, which made me feel dopey and relaxed...guess that's the typical stuff, and typical reaction.  Then I've smoked pot that must have been laced with something else 'cause one minute I was sitting there in front of the computer and the next thing I know, my vision did a 90 degree turn and everything was sideways.  Then I was overcome with the most extreme paranoia I have ever felt.  It's indescribable.  I was literally on my knees, clutching my brother's arm yanking at him telling him "I'm gonna die!  I'm gonna die!!  I'm gonna die!!!"   I don't know.   Who knows.  big_smile   It was crazy.  Whatever my brother had was not regular ol' pot.   Well, it's like what Forrest Gump said....."Drugs are like a box of chocolates...ya never know what you're gonna get!"

He did say that, right???

lyra wrote:

A shortcut to what though? I don't think that many people can say in total honesty that they know where they going, so how can they take a shortcut there?

If you were to say a shortcut to enlightenment then I would say 'well what's enlightenment?'

If it's a shortcut to getting out of the matrix then I would say 'well what is wrong with that?' Isn't that what we're all wanting to do here anyway? Stuie Wilde seems to be encouraging us to try and get out of here!

Personally I don't believe that hallucinogens are a short-cut to any of those things. I don't really think short-cuts even exist, I think we're all exactly where we need to be, whether that means being in the middle of an ayahuasca journey or doing some other spiritual activity.

Wherever you are in life, whether in this density or another, there will ALWAYS be more lessons to learn. Until we return to the source then I don't think we ever stop learning. I think that in this reality hallucinogens possibly can take you a little bit further, faster, but there will never be a destination. Even if we were to make it out of the matrix I'm sure we would find ourselves in whole new realm with a million new lessons to learn.

Personally I think ayahuasca is more about remembering than learning. I don't think it can teach us anything we don't already know, just stuff that we don't consciously know. This is certainly true if many of us here really are wanderers, or advanced souls from a higher realm (and I'm not saying we are, but it's a possibility). And if that's the case then aya can only be a good thing because it's just helping to remind us of elementry stuff that we probably went through and already learned a million years ago or whatever!

and overall, wouldn't recommend it as the way to go for those seeking answers and illumination into our reality.

Well I respect that opinion, but I would strongly disagree. Now I would certainly never say that hallucinogens are the only way, or even the very best way to get answers but I've first-hand experience of seeing them work extremely well for a lot of people. Not so much with Mushrooms but certainly with ayahuasca.  There is no doubt in my mind that ayahuasca is an incredible spiritual teacher, who I would personally trust over any author or channelled material around today.

I maybe wrong but I don't think the Illuminati can corrupt Ayahuasca.

Re: Marijuana

Yeah, why take the long winding road when you know there's a shorter way to get there, we know where we are going so when we get there, we can just kick back and just let the universe drift by! wink

Thanks for your views on this guys by the way this is a great thread , I didnt see this before till now!

Maybe we are all actually taking things all too seriously and that we need to chill out and not worry about things so much just in general.

Everything in moderation is the key, I cant stress this enough!!!

You can do anything and everything in moderation and as long as you arent harming or affecting anyone else and that you have complete control over your actions then why the hell not.

Ive realised Ive smoked dope for too long and need to cut down and then eventually stop, but for the moment im not going to worry about how its f*cking up my etheric body and still enjoy it and not to stress about the fact that " Oh no, ive just f*cked my ether and ive now got to spend longer now fixing it up because ive had another one"

Stress, Fear and Worry are the biggest ether and body killers that anything else!

I know where im going (well a feeling of there being more and more and this is just not it) and I feel great in myself knowing what I feel and that it is all infinite and we have all the time we want.
As long as we are consious of who we are and what our purpose is then what does it matter whether we smoke a joint a day, take shrewms, drink aya, or what ever we feel like we want to do.
Do you think this is a selfish attitude or am I just looking at life as a journey and that what ever we all do, what ever path each of us takes, as long as we are happy and enjoying what we are doing and not harming anyone then what does it matter!

This may sound selfish but defenitly not meaning to sound it at all but as long as we are happy and enjoying life and not affecting others in a dark way, then whats the prob! wink

Seems to me the defensiveness had more to do with defending a personal "sacred cow" moreso than caring about what you believe to be innacurate information.   wink   But that could just be the way I'm interpreting the way your words came out.

Oh, and btw, my views weren't presented as absolute truth.  It was an *OPINION* for *CONSIDERATION.*   So, if you choose to take it as an absolute statement of truth which in turn needs to be jumped on and "defended" in a fiesty defensive manner, well, that's your deal.

Dangerous, huh?  Wow!   I don't know, I can think of some things in life that could be deemed "dangerous".   But not being keen on taking hallucinogens isn't one of those things.....guess we all define "dangerous" differently!

Like I said....get defensive much?   wink   You seem to be in an awfully um, "fiesty" mood lately, ready to rip people apart at the drop of a hat......and for what?   Expressing an opinion?   Hmm.

See, you could get on here and say, "You know, I don't agree with this opinion, I see things differently.  Let me tell you why...."

But no.   Instead, you choose to take the route I just mentioned, of jumping down people and (trying to) bully them, for lack of a better word.

If you were able to express your difference of opinion in a calm rational manner I'd be more than happy to discuss this with you.  I'm very responsive to calm difference of opinion.   Many of my personal views have been altered and changed through people calmly explaining something.    Tend to shut down though and walk away when people start gettin' fiesty out of personal ego / personal issues.

Especially don't care for the angle of "OH, well, you even admit that you haven't taken hallucinogins, so therefore you have no right to an opinion on the topic!!"

Um, nice logic there.  wink   I'll keep that one in mind........we at Noble Realms are only allowed to express opinions on topics we have directly and personally experienced for ourselves.  That's it.  If you haven't directly experienced it, then shut up and sit back down.  It doesn't matter what you may have witnessed with others around you.   That has NO bearing, in fact, you may as well not have even witnessed it at all, because again, since you didn't directly experience it, it has NO validity.

yeah...

Anyway, won't waste my time addressing all three posts of yours devoted to rabidly defending halluncinogens.   You've stated your case, I've expressed my opinion.   Others have chipped in their 2 cents.  That's what the point of all this is.....isn't it?

PS EDIT:   Boy, it never ceases to amaze me............I get on here and very calmly and nicely agreed with something ermolai write, chipped in my passive and nicely written opinion on what I think about pot, and hallucinogens, didn't target anybody, didn't disagree with anybody, didn't reference anybody in any negative way....and despite that, look where this has turned.   THEN....I responded to Zonabi, and Aya goes after THAT post, which wasn't even addressed to him.  I mean, WHAT the.....?!   It's like dude, CHILL OUT.     So again, I have to point out in case this gets overlooked..........I knew this was going to happen.  I knew Ayahuasca would specifically get on here and jump down my throat (figuratively speaking....;) )  and I just knew it would happen.  Take a moment to think about that for a second.......

What I find mildly amusing Lyra, is that you're probably far more guilty of the above accusations than any of the regulars in this forum. I think I've lost count of the number of times I've seen you jumping on someone's back because you didn't agree with what they had to say. Not that I ever was counting.

I'm sorry if my post was too direct, sometimes that's how I am although I think you're reading far too much into my words than what was ever meant, and to say that I was bullying you is in my opinion quite laughable and just a little over dramatic.

But sorry if you took offence, because none was ever intended.

Re: Marijuana

This jumped from a marijuana thread to a ayahuasca thread:  so I feel safe <oh boy>
in adding my two cents - one cent for each drug.

Marijuana ... from observation ... people I know who have used marijuana since early pre-teen or teens into adulthood do not function that well in life.  They are way too laid back and take 4 times as long to get anything done.  They are sweet, caring fathers BUT not good providers. They are very rigid in their viewpoints and can be extremely volatile. An observation from 3 different people.  My experience: used it often over 35 years ago, for a period of a year or two.  Nothing since.  Opened some doors spiritually perhaps.  Mostly I was in a stupor.

The plant, Ayahuasca ... never experienced.  But from what I've read it is very different than other hallucinogens like LSD, mescaline even mushrooms.  Most sites when talking about ayahuasca will say the plant itself is a spirit that guides you.  Recently I meant an accupuncturist who studied with Alberto Villoldo (author Shamen, Sage and Healer) for 3 years.  He told me of his ayahuasca experience and stated that it was, for him, the culmination of what he had been looking for in all his years of being a seeker.  He felt through this one experience, he had found HIS path ... which interestingly no longer included working with Villoldo.  He didn't feel as if he had "made it" ... just that his path was now clear to him.  Don't know what that path is ... didn't ask.

Moreover, ayahuasca experiences often include physical healing, according to what I've read and heard, which other hallucinogens I don't believe claim to do at all.  Whether or not this is true about the healing properties of ayahuasca, I don't know but it would seem to me IF one can really open spiritual doors ... then the physical healing is very possible.

Two cents ...  2 paragraphs per cent smile

Peace.

Re: Marijuana

You know.....I wasn't even originally going to respond to some of Ayahuasca's questions regarding my offhand opinions I addressed to ermolai, only because it made me a little leary that I was able to predict the outcome of the exchange before it happened.  Made me want to just back off like, "Whoa...okay, so, why did this go exactly the way I forsaw?"  This happened once before with another pretty fiesty male poster on NR when I began knowing ahead of time anything he was going to post, and even hearing his responses in my mind, verbatim, word for word.  Creeped me out, so, I backed off and just let stuff hang there.   So rather than do that again, here you are:

- First off -  what hallucinogens are you defending?  I think that's the most important and overlooked issue in this whole "debate."  What, LSD in its many bezillion forms?   Something else?   See, in retrospect I get the idea that you may have been defending Aya.   But I never mentioned Aya.   I said hallucinogens.  It's a general term.  I was actually thinking more along the lines of LSD, X, etc.   What you're defending is unknown, because it hasn't been defined.

- Regarding the fact that I haven't taken halluncinogens, so, what right do I have to voice an opinion -   Like I said, I've palled around or known people who have.  And I have one word for you: FRIED.   Their brains were BAKED.    Buh bye.  Nobody's home anymore.   My conclusion?   Run the other way from that s***.  Whatever shortterm trippy effects you experience isn't worth the long term ramifications on your brain.  I'm sure there are some that won't do this to you, and I'm sure if you only do some a few times then you might be fine.  But for me...not a risk I was ever willing to take!

- Regarding shortcuts -- I think drugs CAN (meaning SOMETIMES, not ALL the time) be a shortcut to enlightenment / illumination / "greater understanding", whether it be Pot, LSD, etc.    An analogy: When you're just told something without figuring out then I don't believe one has truly learned it.  They talk the talk without walking the walk.

- Regarding that whole thing about   "A terrible assumption to make and who are you to say who is ready to handle and process something?"

Let's see -  First off - I never said that I had some right to say anything on behalf of someone else.  I was thinking of actual people whose personal stories I've read about.   People who have confirmed this to be something that CAN happen.  (and actually, in this regard, I WAS referring to Ayahuasca, although I didn't specify....)   So, looks like YOU'RE the one making assumptions here.   wink  Not I.

For the sake of the thread, hope that clears up the questions which have been hanging, unanswered.

And I do want to say congrats to Zonabi for giving the "no pot" thing a go, forgot to mention that in my initial post to ermolai.  I think that's awesome that you're trying that out, and wish you luck........(also had to add that I used to know a guy who could have rivaled you in your habit big_smile   He would smoke the stuff while driving home every night!  big_smile  oh my god.  Couldn't even wait til he got in the door.   Now THAT was pretty ballsy!  big_smile )

I guess what I'm defending is not any particular hallucinogen, but most peoples reasons for taking them. Because in my experience I've never met any serious spiritual seeker who has taken a drug to become enlightened and I don't think I've ever met anyone that even believes a particular drug will make them enlightened. I guess I find that idea a little ridiculous and I woudn't want that to be someones perception of me.

Everyone I know that has taken aya (which is around 75 people now) has seen it as an important part of their journey, but never ever a destination. Aya does help to clarify a lot of things, although in many ways it still leads to more questions than answers. Again, I hate the idea that anyone thinks I've reached a destination just because I've taken aya several times. Nothing could be further from the truth, and I think everyone I know would say exactly the same thing.

- Regarding the fact that I haven't taken halluncinogens, so, what right do I have to voice an opinion -   Like I said, I've palled around or known people who have.  And I have one word for you: FRIED.   Their brains were BAKED.    Buh bye.

I never said you had no right to voice an opinion, but I do think if you had more knowledge on the subject then you would have a very different opinion. Now I'm certainly not saying it would make you change your mind and want to take a hallucinogen but I think you would at least have a better understanding of other peoples reasons for taking them.

And yes, people can and do bake their brains, but in my experience those sorts of people are rarely, if ever, into spirituality. The people who bake their brains on drugs are usually just using drugs as a way to escape reality and not take any responsibility for their lives. They don't use drugs for any other reason than to get high and 'f*cked up'. In no way would I ever condone that sort of attitude to drugs!

My conclusion?   Run the other way from that s***.  Whatever shortterm trippy effects you experience isn't worth the long term ramifications on your brain.

I think some scientific studies have actually shown that mushrooms, and certainly ayahuasca have absolutely no long term ramifications on your brain, but I'll do a bit of research into that and find some sources. However most synthetic drugs like X, cocaine and speed definitely can have very bad longterm effects. My conclusion? Always trust mother nature and ignore the man-made drugs big_smile

Regarding shortcuts -- I think drugs CAN (meaning SOMETIMES, not ALL the time) be a shortcut to enlightenment / illumination / "greater understanding", whether it be Pot, LSD, etc.

Personally I don't think any drug can ever lead to enlightenment, but they can certainly lead to a greater understanding, and indeed I think that's why most people take them - for a greater understanding. I really can't see how that is a bad thing. Surely a greater understanding is always better than a lesser understanding.

An analogy: When you're just told something without figuring out then I don't believe one has truly learned it.  They talk the talk without walking the walk.

In my experience that's not how these teachers work. Aya doesn't really teach you just by telling you stuff, even though I suppose that's what seemingly happened by David Icke's account. It's not very easy to describe what actually happens and no two aya experiences are ever the same anyway. More often than not the lesson you will get from an aya experience will be something to do with an issue you have going on in your life at that particular time. If you're looking to change direction in your life aya will usually help you choose the way. If you have a relationship problem aya will often help you see things in a different way and show you the best way to resolve the problem.  In most cases aya is a very practical teacher and gives you only what you need to hear at that particular moment, just like the oracle in The Matrix smile

Ayahuasca as an oracle. Now I definitely like that analogy big_smile

If you go into an aya experience expecting to learn all the secrets of the universe then you will be sorely disappointed.  She might give you a few hints and prod you in the right direction, but the rest you will have to work out for yourself. This is why it's definitely not a bullettrain to enlightenment. My feeling is that aya is somekind of highly evolved and very intelligent nature spirit, that seems very STO in nature and so for that reason she doesn't hand you all the answers on a plate. Hard work is required on your part if you want to learn anything from her. But that's just my perception based on my experiences.

Anyway I hope that answers your questions and clears up any misunderstandings. I'm sorry I acted all defensive earlier, I've had a splitting headache for most of the day so I haven't been in the best of moods.

Sorry sorry, love me, love me

Re: Marijuana

Well, I just got the book "DMT-The Spirit Molecule", so far it's pretty interesting and addresses some of the misconceptions of early day research.  There's so much to unravel as far as disinfo. vs what is true, so all we can do is seek, read, and hopefully come to a better understanding of what is real.
