Remeber that dancing kid with the spiky hair in Charlie Brown?  His name is 555 95472, nickname is '5'.  Weird eh?

As 5 once explained to Charlie Brown, his father, morose and hysterical over the preponderance of numbers in people's lives, had changed all of the family's names to numbers. Asked by Charlie Brown if it was Mr. 95472's way of protesting, 5 replied that this was actually his father's way of "giving in." 5 also has two sisters named 3 and 4. ("Nice feminine names," in Charlie Brown's sarcastic estimation). It can be assumed that their parents are named 1 and 2.

Re: 555 "5" 95472

My personal fave character in Peanuts became Rerun.   The Rerun strips were seriously (imo) the best material I'd ever seen in Peanuts.  Rerun was this weird little character, the five year old brother of Lucy and Linus, who was put on the backburner for years.  Schultz later said that he regretted introducing him into the strip because he had nothing for the character to do, other than sitting on the back of his mom's bike in the baby seat.  But then Rerun was brought back into the limelight in the late 90s, and completely renewed.  I don't know where Schultz got that sudden burst of quirky inspiration from, but Rerun made Peanuts cool again!   The way Rerun talked and his whole personality and the things that would happen to him......I began reading Peanuts again just to find strips that had him in it.   It was laugh out loud funny, and nothing in the comics could make me laugh out loud, other than Calvin and Hobbes, and then later on Boondocks.  So that says a lot!   But yeah, it was all about Rerun.  wink  I wish I could find some of those strips now, from the late 90s.
