Here is a link to the Treasury Department which shows the debt to the penny.
On 28 July 2006, the US debt had reached $8.4 trillion. Notice the increase from $2.3 trillion in debt in 1987.

It's listed as $2 trillion in 1987, but still...
Wow, all this spending and unpaid debt... Either congress is banking on some profitable global Imperialist agenda (like seizing the control systems of the planet!!
) or they're just hopelessly spending into abandon like shit is going to go down any day now!
I would be willing to bet that the only thing congress is banking on is being mind-controlled into oblivion along with the rest of society . . . they probably think they're being included in some contingency plan like Alternative 3 . . .

You are correct. I meant to write $2 trillion.
I like how the debt was increasing even during the clinton years of "budget surplus." They couldn't even pay the interest on the debt then, what idiot actually thinks they will make good on any of their debts. Maybe their plan is to pull a bout of hyperinflation, thereby trivializing the debt.
Far more likely that they'll declare America bankrupt again, for the second time in the last one hundred years. There's no way that such a massive amount of debt will ever be paid off. This is why there is so much corruption within the political arena: it's simply the vultures gathering, picking at the dying carcass whilst there's still some life left in it.
The USA, like many nations on the planet, is in extremely dire financial straits, but you won't ever hear much about it on the mainstream news channels. I think the current debt ceiling is set at about $9 trillion or so. Once the debt level hits that mark in about a year or so, either the ceiling must be raised yet again or the US Government will be forced to shut down.
This may all be a scam, in addition to the whole financial system being a scam (ie. illhumannazi-owned Federal Reserve), of course. Not only is everything controlled through the manipulation of the value of money, so much is being syphoned from the income of the governments, that the debt may really just be a joke. The trick is the governments only account for part of their income in their official "budgets". The CAFRs (Comprehensive Annual Financial Reports) detail the total amount of money. CAFRs are public, but generally buried in the bureaucracy. There is more info at

Then there is the Wanta Plan stuff. Supposedly, former ambassador Leo Wanta was ordered by Reagan to mess with the currency of the Soviet Union. The result was trillions of $$$$, which Wanta, after much difficulty, is trying to give back to the US. The Wanta Plan was a compromise which earmarked $4.5 TRILLION (out of ~potentially $70 trillion) to be given to the US govt over a period of time. According to Arctic Beacon, the government is blocking the transfer of this money. Again I am not sure how much of this is true. I realize it sounds too good to be true given the "US debt", it seemed possible enough to mention, though. Maybe someone else can investigate further, cause I don't have the time at the moment.

IF it is true, it may be one of the reasons the war in the Mideast is being pushed so hard right now. There was a deadline of July 31 for the government to allow the deal.
Thanks for the comments, everyone.
Interesting stuff.
I plan on looking at the Comprehensive Annual Financial Reports for various governments (local, state, federal). Of course, not all transactions and assets make it into the public records.
