Re: Nuff Said

Arc, funny how children that have not been " Domesticated " and ainmals that have not been corrupted will spot the evil ones every time, and instantly. Thats the nonlocality of the totality of self coming in and saying walk the other way.....we don't need this thing in our space.

Couldn't help but re-post this here.  So fitting.  It's a little bit, um....uncanny that Steiner prophesized the birth of the AntiChrist in America in the second half of the 20th century, then basically carved what amounts to a sculpture of Bush's face to illustrate what he'd look like.

Re: Nuff Said

I lean both ways on the baby thing.  My daughter was definitely scared of certain unsavory people, and she would scream the second they entered the room.  On the other hand, she was also scared of my dad at first.  Not quite as much, but she would cry any time he held her.  This gradually faded, but didn'd disappear completely until I left her with him for a few hours alone, and he spent the whole time stuffing her with her favorite foods.  That was also when she began refusing mashed or pureed foods, wanting only whole chunks like grown-ups eat (did I mention she was only 7 months old, and had no teeth yet!!!)

Now her grandpa is second only to grandma in her affection.  I think the reason she was scared of him is that he is big (6'4") and maybe his mustache too, since I hadn't grown my beard out yet.  And there is absolutely no way you can convince me there is anything unsavoury about my dad, he is one of the nicest people on earth, with huge heart and a softspoken manner.

Edit:  It may also have something to do with the fact that he wasn't entirely comfortable with babies too.  Now that she is bigger, and has more opportunity for interaction (eating grown-up food and playing) they are best friends.

I'm actually the illegitimate lovechild of Dr. Crusher and Quark (the Ferengi)... They were trying to keep it quiet, but I guess the cat's out of the bag now...
