Topic: The One

I'm continually surprised how, in a world of ~6.5 billion (known) people, individuals can become so easily convinced that they are "The One" person who is privy to some special information that is critical to the survival and/or evolution of the entire human race.

Whether it's the latest prediction of global catastrophe, or the newest technique for ascension or some other paranormal ability, I can't help but think that if the information is SO important and SO critical it would be coming from more than one source. . .

Thoughts?

It is not for us to understand love, but simply to make space for it.

Re: The One

I was just wondering myself why humans are so prone to delusion in general. smile  I do include myself in this category, btw.

I post on another forum with some wonderful spiritual folks, but I'm noticing lately that those who meditate the most, who look within and have found many answers in the past maybe, eventually become close-minded Grand Possessors of Truth, in their own minds only.  And if I disagree with them on any matter, which I often do, I become a snake to them.

The other day a thought hit me:  Nothing I've ever believed in has turned out to be true.

Unbelievable!  I have been thinking in a similar way.  My views of the World have changed dramatically in the past few years.  I feel I am coming out a trance on which everything used to fit very nicely and the line separating the good guys from the bad ones was well defined.  Coming out of the trance has made me feel lonely at times but realizing things are not what they seem is a blessing-----------a cursed blessing.

I was describing this to some friends the other night.  .  . except I used the word spell instead of trance.  It's like breaking out of a spell and looking back at what I was thinking while under the spell.  It sure made a lot of sense at the time, but now seems absolutely ludicrous!

A common example I used to illustrate what I was feeling is "falling for" somebody romantically.  At the time it seems like a "match made in heaven" but looking back you wonder: "Whatever did I see in that person?"

The question is. . . am I just moving from one spell to another, or is it a true awakening?

Hard to tell.  We can tell we are moving away from a spell, but have not enough information to discern if the new view is another spell.  I guess it does not matter.  Moving from one spell to the other is better than remaining stagnant.  Perhaps one day, maybe in another life, we run into the true awakening.  Discovery by trial and error. ...... I really don't know any other way of doing it other than improving the odds by relying on my instincts.  That is if my instincts are coming from my Higher Self.

Hey there. *waves*

I would imagine this to have something to do with the 'disabled' status of humankind at large. That if people used more than a relatively small portion of both their brains and their DNA structural helices, then that would allow them to get their feet more firmly planted into 'reality', so to speak.

I propose this lack of immediately usable resources within ourselves to be a main contributor towards the potential for manipulation of the mind and hence 'delusion' . . .

Ha ha!!  That's what I'm realizing about myself... I indeed AM merely trading one delusion for another.  Each new thing I learn seems to lead me to some light, but does it really?  I can perceive that I am moving from one step to another, but without perspective, how can I determine my general direction?

Manipulation, yes... by authorities, EM pollution, media, websites, friends, gurus and even, or most especially, by our own egos.  Oh, and desires as well.  I suppose the list is endless.

I do so long to "see," but my perception is so untrustworthy.  sad

The very state of being 'aware' of moving from one spell to another is in itself the start of the (your) awakening is it not?. You aren't fully meshed into the next 'dreamspell' as being your only reality, but become the observer of multiple realities.
We are moving foward there can be no doubt.

Indeed.  I don't remember where I heard this, but imagine your Higher Self/Intuition and a set of head lights driving down a road at night.  You can't see where the road will lead, but as long as your head lights are on, you know where you are and where to go.

Think of being the "One" as like being Sir Edmund Hillary; he was the first man to climb Everest--he didn't do it without standing on the shoulders of giants, and serpas.  He may have been the first European to have the first view from the top, yet he was only the first of many Western adventurers to reach this zenith. I would think that others of lesser notoriety had made the climb many years before. He was simply "the ONE" that Western history recognizes.

In the hearts and minds of those flatlanders who could not imagine such a feat he gained the stature he desired. Those looking to climb the great mountain themselves do not require his maps--nor his brand of courage. The mountain is eternal; being "The One" has mostly to do with the courage to be sane in a fearful world: the One to look up to in our own immediate world.

The greatest obstacle most of us face in this reality is the "mountain of fear"; what we do to conquer that is what defines our lifespan. The key I would suggest you carry is the "ASK" key. Learn how to ask for help. How can anyone fulfill their destiny as an altruist if no one asks? What is wisdom if no one listens?

Thank you!! That part you posted of Rosetta Stoned is the best part of the song IMO. I adamantly maintain that these 'details of our ending' which were forgotten are of such a joyous and blissful nature that the person just couldn't fully embody or communicate the message within his own reality . . .

I don't want to be the One. No one is the one. Period.

Yes, well I must admit an affinity for the words on that banner. lol
