Re: What point are you at?

Where am I now?????

Certainly different from a year ago when I joined the forum.  Have learned more than I did from college and nursing school for sure  wink  Feels as if I'm going through another "cycle of 7".  Every seven years or so-plus or minus a year, seems another jump in growth, discovery, major life events come up.  It's exciting, but kinda scary at the same time.

BTW Racsouran, enjoy your different "feel" of your views/posts.  In regards to the subject of proof- sticky subject for these times indeed.  AWARENESS seems to firmly plant ones feet on the "proof" path-at least for me.  AHH-Hah moments, but on a deeper level.

Awareness in awake time, dreamtime, and most especially those moments when one can finally stop the internal chatty dialog going on in ones head.  Kitties do it, dogs do it, but humans struggle with it, oftentimes fighting tooth and nail.  Wonder if our pets snicker at us in their own way watching us learn AWARENESS.

Re: What point are you at?

I'm usually at work, so my time is limited.  The posts here are not the kind one can scan through rapidly or reply to without considerable thought.

Now, speaking of what point are you at......

Some of you may remember opetero who joined about a year ago and chimed in on the AI thread and then invited me to check it out so I joined.  At that time we were both reading The Wave Series and other things of that nature, and we both went through many personal changes in thinking.  Peter decided to leave the rat race and has headed to Canada.  He's living with relatives at the moment and making practice runs of living off the land very primitively.  His intention is to build up his strength and survival skills so that he can make the big break.  We get occasional reports from him posted at WRH.

As far as the two banned go, it's one thing to be skeptical and another thing to be just a total asshole.

Re: What point are you at?

Well after reading this topic I have a few things to say. In a way i was relating to ILikeIcke points. I dont' find his wanting of 'proof' 'unreasonable' from a reasonable stand point. But yes, Montalk you made a good point about where the bar is for sufficent proof. See it's kind of contradicting about creating our own realities and the matrix. Have you ever been around people who are hallucinating, thinking things like their friends are plotting something against that person and that person starts flipping out because they REALLY believe it. It's fascinating to me it really shows the power of the mind. Well, if our minds are powerful enough to create our own realities the point that I want to make is without the 'sufficient' proof that ILikeIcke is suggesting then how do we know that our powerful minds are not creating these inner feelings/intuitions/experiences on its own. But then it comes down to the proof that ILikeIcke is suggesting which must obviously have to relate to the middle ground of all the realities that we experience in this lifetime in which EVERYONE resides in, 'the matrix' of 3rd density or dimension whichever one it is. I think the String Theory is probaly the best lead to these other worlds we experience or feel for the scientific proof which im sure would be sufficient proof for ILikeIcke. The thing that keeps me open to other dimensions/worlds when i may be in doubt is our physical death aside from a couple OOBE's. I don't want to ramble on about death but wouldn't this all be pointless if death was truly THE END of it ALL or is there a point; a point is what gives us that middle ground of security once again keeping us in the matrix.

"What point are you at?"

Well for starters, feeling bad that I used to come across as harsh as I did.  sad   Watching what I say more, and how I say it.   Forum communication isn't always the best method of communication.  This thread has reminded me of that.

Yes, I've thought of this myself.   Surprisingly, I realized that I wouldn't mind if I learned that when we die  we just fade to black, and consciousness goes out like a light bulb.   I would secretly be relieved if I found out that this is what indeed happens, and all this talk about souls and life after death is all just fanciful thinking.   I find the concept of life after death, karma / judgment, souls, good and evil, the darkside and the good side, evolving to higher densities and all of it to be rather daunting, mind bending, and at times flat out overwhelming.  It makes my head spin and makes me feel like I just want to curl up in my bed and pull the covers over my head.  Seriously.  It's most of the reason I went Atheist back in my 20's.    So yes, actually, I would feel relieved if death was really and truly the end of it all, lights out.   !   Trying to find a point to life is what makes life so overwhelming. If it were really just fade to black, and we only get one shot, it might actually free us up a little more to take more risks and not tolerate so much stuff.   Believing that everything continues after death in some form or another can actually breed complacency while one is alive.

Re: What point are you at?

The only problem is, is that we don't know what happends when we die obviously so really there is no way to act but to act as you are or feel. My preference, I wouldn't want it to be lights out and nothing more when we die but maybe we actually get to choose what we want when we die. I try to think what life would be like without societies, money, jobs, even houses. If we were to grow up basicaly in nature itself. Would our minds be more free in which we might be able to develope possible abilities of our brain such as telekinesis, astral projection, moving objects with our mind etc because obviously things like that in most societies is looked at as fiction and are not tought or encouraged. The only skills our brains develope are what is required in schools. I'm curious that if there was a school that tought children these paranormal abilities that if they really could develope them.

Re: What point are you at?

I'm reading here about every other day or so. I only post if I have some direct experience on the topic that I feel is useful to others. Plowing ahead with the divorce, going to a mediator on Monday.  I must be careful not to get stuck analyzing the past as I tend towards the depressive side from too much thinking. Reading Maharshi and Balsekar to remind me who I really am.
Some disputes arise on any forum no matter what. This is one of the most civil ones I have found. Don't know about agents, I know there are plenty on Godlike but everyone knows who they are, when they respond quickly to debunk it means the thread has some validity.

There only needs to be enough proof to rule out alternatives to the theory in question. If further proof is demanded, then one becomes a biased skeptic unwilling to face the truth. If less proof is accepted, then you enter the realm of subjectivity where conclusions may or may not be on target depending on the accuracy of your intuition or feelings.

In regards to intuition and feelings, people call these subjective because they are not based on linear intellectual reasoning. But that doesn't mean they are necessarily inaccurate; it depends on where they originate. If you're stoned and hallucinate, then your impressions might not be accurate since awareness and discernment are skewed.

If on the other hand you are attuned to messages from your subconscious or Higher Self, then intuition can be spot on. Experience tells you what the case may be - just observe what intuitive impressions always turn out to be correct. Then you can rely upon these to tell you beforehand what reason or experience will later confirm.

The discerning truthseeker weighs both the merrits and faults of an idea, then uses the merrits from multiple ideas to synthesize something that gets closer to the truth with time. The biased skeptic ignores the merrits, accepting the faults only as convenient excuses to justify his stubborness. So while I think proof is important, how one approaches it makes all the difference in how useful or limiting it becomes.

Re: What point are you at?

Hello everyone,

"Yes i want to see the other 90 posters on here and start posting to , where is everybody" Lyra

Hi lyra smile i signed up in december and just started posting today.  Why did i wait so long?  I don't know .. just busy reading others people's fascinating posts and just now got around to posting.

Also alot of what is discussed on this forum is confusing and stuff i have never heard of.  Like organic portals , hyperdimensions and such.

"Montalk told me about his alien experiences and i dont belived him anything . " Racsouran

Well rascouran do you have any reason to doubt him?  Have you found any disinformation on his site. ?

Well i wanna talk about one thing i dont believe in i have found on the net.  It is the cassospean (how do u spell it)  wave series.
The c's claim they are us from the future   i find this very hard to believe the future huh ? the future doesn't exist only a continous "now"  atleast thats what i believe

and why do the c's only communicate with a few select people why not everyone... or do i need some type of quija board to communicate with me from the future

Re: What point are you at?

Well Brad, i think is more important to hear than to believe, at first. I have all the reasons to doubt him, because it is the need, doubt, to research, i do not doubt him more than your or other.

Re: What point are you at?

Like Racsouran said, hearing is the first and more important step. The second step is understanding. If you read something but don't understand it, then you may disagree with someone who did understand it because both of you will be coming from different levels of perception despite thinking you're on the same page. And even if you understand, there should also be some level of personal experience involved otherwise you have no personal reference to even vaguely validate what's being discussed. So with all these pre-requisites for agreement, it's no surprise that people have differences of belief. Obviously what they believe in the moment is what's right for them, which as Bumblebee said is fine if it helps them better handle challenges.

Brad wrote:

The idea of C's being "us in the future" is only plausible if you are comfortable with the idea of reincarnation and an eternal soul, then to me it logically follows that if we keep growing in life after life, gaining greater wisdom, intelligence, and spiritual abilities, there will come an eventual point where one can not only communicate with others in space, but others in time as well. So if you continue to evolve, it will be inevitable that your "future" self would have the ability to communicate with you in the "present" as long as both sides of the conduit of communication are willing to participate and properly tuned into each other.

Brad wrote:

Right, that's why the "future" self is more correctly termed the "higher" self. It would be the higher part of your being with you as the more limited part, with the totality of your being straddling the eternal present which to our limited minds would stretch from "past" to "future" simultaneously.

So take it one step further -- if your "higher" self can commune with other "higher" selves in a mutually harmonious group, then there you have a group of "us in the future" willing to communicate with those of "us in the present" who are seeking to establish contact and are properly tuned in.

The tuning difficulty is why special methods are used to receive such communications, wherever they may originate. Even if they originate as figments of the subconscious, it is well known in mainstream science (psychology) that the conscious mind has difficulty receiving messages from the subconscious and so special states like dreams, intuitive receptivity, pendulum dowsing, ouija board, automatic writing, psychomantium, hypnosis, and trances are need to bridge that barrier between 3D mind and subconscious mind.

The Higher Self (so-called personal channel) or the C's (so-called group channel) are both said to utilize the individual's subconscious as the necessary gateway through which messages are sent, so the conscious mind will have just as much difficulty receiving messages from them as from the subconscious, and that's why some have resorted to Ouija boards. Other methods like trance channeling may also work, but are more susceptible to corruption unless great care is taken (see for example what was involved in receiving the Law of One / Ra Material messsages). But you could also just take a walk in the park and ponder the mysteries of the universe, receiving such messages in the form of intuitive concepts and inspirations that most of the time you may think are your own.

I also doubt about myself. I saved me from madness various times.

Re: What point are you at?

No kidding, unless you stay consistently skeptical about your skepticism or suspicious about your own suspicions, you will go blind or mad. Confidence and doubt may be the checks and balances of sanity.
