Topic: Skull and Crossbones on clothing

So what is up with the new fashion trend of the skull and crossbones symbol? They are putting this on upscale clothing, you can buy gold and diamond encrusted cufflinks with the symbol for those black tie events!

It's because being a "kewliez rebelz roxer chick" is really in now.

Re: Skull and Crossbones on clothing

There are all manner of " death " icons being sported on clothing and on automibiles and elsewhere.
People are flying flags that are prompted from the subconscious negative ego because they think its cool to do so.
On a conscious level most have no idea what the symbols represent or mean. Same thing with music that conveys the vibes of death, suffering and destruction which need not be lyrical to do so.
Notice there are many stickers of sorts that convey sharp, blade looking figures.
There rare also many esoteric symbols being sported that people have no idea the meanings of.
All of this is coming up from the subconscious realms.

One interesting thing about the skull and crossbones. It was once a standard for poison labels and that was actually a good thing because the symbol is universally understood by the subconscious mind.
When it was removed en masse from labels it was done to create confusion and make things cryptic,  the former clarity that was the standard being replaced with something less effective and less communicative on a mass scale. Now only people with substantial education can identify poisons, of which there are many more.
IN fact, the known poisons are quite numerous now and are all designed to be quite well hidden.
The average person will not think twice about tossing anything whatever down the drain or into the environs.
I had a young man on one of my crews that did not properly understand where gasoline came from.
Total material mystification.
This the same mind virus that seemingly allows some souls that serve as grocery checkers not know what common vegetables are and not really know where whats in shrink wrap cellophane comes from or how.
Its just the only thing they know as " food."

That all makes sense StarCat...I just cant imagine walking around with that symbol on my clothes much less let my kids wear something like that.  Its going to be some hot thing because the celebrities are wearing this stuff.     Didnt know where gasoline came from, huh? Doesnt surprise me, a lot of people I encounter are completely clueless about these things.  I work in horticulture and am amazed that people are willing to put poison on anything so that they have that *golf course* look lawn, or they want to kill every bug in their yard, and have absolutely NO clue as to the awful poisons that they are putting in the earth without any thought or consideration as to the effects of the ecosystem, even the small one that is their baack yard.

AAARGH! An' wot's wrong wif a Jolly Roger, eh?  Oym a poyrit an' it's moy way o'
scarin' the land lubbers!  Woy oy odda make ya walk the plank, ye scurvy rat!

My wife almost wore black pants with skull and crossbones on them at our wedding.
Luckily her dress arrived in time so she could wear her oriental red dress!

I guess if you want to be deadly and/or attract death then by all means wear skulls,
pointy knife looking things and all kinds of dark and menacing regalia.
Better yet, get some jewelry made out of radioactive slag and wear it until you
glow in the dark and your equipment falls off.  What fun!  You'll be so cool (cold, dead)

But I agree, StarCat, that there has been a concerted effort to dumb down the natives.
Do you remember the discussion going around about how to label a toxic radioactive
dump that would be recognized by humans or their decendants ten thousand years
from now?  They first thought of skull and crossbones as a visual, but couldn't decide
if that would be interpreted properly.  Then there was the great carved stone tablet
unearthed in Mexico City in the 1960's that depicted such horrors that the Mexican
government thought people shouldn't be allowed to see it because it would cause
madness.  Too bad.  I looked.

What now?  What's this all about, can I see online?
