Skype

I'm sure most if not everyone on NR knows about Skype -- the completely free download which enables you to make free phone calls to anyone with Skype (and a high speed connection).

I've used it now for months, talking to friends in the UK -- for free.  The connections are great -- sometimes we get bumped off -- but usually its awesome.  For within the US, I've had no "bump off" problems.

Here's an interesting article about the developers prior owners of Skype.  Although now owned by eBay, I continue to hope that the philosophy of the original owners remains true -- communication should be free -- and I'll add easy to accomplish and far reaching.  Then perhaps we can have an enlightened society, even within
this material 3D world.
