Any Falun Gong practitioners here?

I began to practice Falun Gong in 2001, although I wouldn't now call myself a practitioner in the strictest sense. While the material in Zhuan Falun certainly woke me up and set me on a determined path of cultivation, some of Li's more recent writings have made me take a step back and re-assess things. I'm referring to many of things he has said concerning the current period of persecution against Dafa practitioners in China, but that isn't something I want to get into here.

With regards to actual cultivation practice, I believe the book is sincere and righteous. In common with many other practitioners I have seen Falun whilst meditating and undergone Guanding (on just one occasion), all of which gave me confidence in the authenticity of the practice. Since reading the material on this and other related sites, I have come to gain a new understanding of many of the issues that Master Li discusses. Some of the subjects he raises in Zhuan Falun were difficult for me to comprehend and I struggled with my doubts for a long time. Having recently started to read elsewhere about esotoric practices and hyper-dimesional realities/entities, I have found a new appreciation for Zhuan Falun and the principals contained within. That said, I am not entirely convinced it's the be-all and end-all of spiritual growth and as I said earlier I'm currently in a period of re-assesment.
