Topic: Falling Asleep / Oracles

Hello...this is my first time posting at this site and I want to say that I am very pleased to be amongst people who are open minded about things that possibly exist or do not exist in regards to our reality.  I have only begun to understand some of the things talked about at this site.  I really do not know much but I am going to make an attempt  to contribute as best as I can.  I have so many questions...sometimes I dont know where ot begin.

One of the things I have noticed is that every time I come to this site, within the first ten minutes I am falling asleep.  Its like I cant keep my eyes open.  I sleep 8 hrs a night so  ido not know why this is happeneing.  When I leave the computer and go do something else I am fine.  5 yrs ago if someone had of told me that some kind of force did not want me reading and consuming the kind of information found at this site, I would have likely not believe them.  But now I know better....it would seem as if somebody or something...does not want me to learn everything that I can and should learn.  Had anybody else experienced this?

Re: Falling Asleep / Oracles

I experienced the same thing when reading "The Wave Series" at Cassiopaea.org.

Funny enough I would take the advice of the C's themselves and take a shot of whiskey inbetween readings...http://www.osasleuths.org/Main/images/qshoutblock/bigeek.gif

Re: Falling Asleep / Oracles

Wow..................the same thing happened to me Menses when reading the C's transcripts.  Not sure if you're familiar with the C's material, but in February of 2003 I obtained my own personal copy of their channeled material and from the moment I sat down to begin reading it, I'd inexplicably get soooooooooooo sleeeeeeeepy.  The first few times I reacted without questioning, getting up and going to lie down on my bed and just zonking out.   After a few times I was like, wait a minute.....hmmmm.   I realized that when I sat down to read I was wide awake and perfectly fine.   But all of a sudden, I get exhausted when I open the 3 ring binder????    So, I took it as dark forces not wanting me to read the material, like you theorized and started to try to ward it off.  I'd take my C's binder and go to a public place to read it, whatever I had to do to ensure I wouldn't be able to fall asleep.

btw.......welcome to the board!   smile

Re: Falling Asleep / Oracles

Im pressed for time here so forgive me....I think whiskey may be wise idea...i prefer coke...neither is healthy..oh well.....Lyra I am familiar with the C's transcripts...but I have not read through them thoroughly...Every time I go to their site...I immediately feel drowsy...I dismissed this at first but then started to read about people going through similar things...I have so many questions because I am new to all of this but have experienced things all my life and never realized I wasnt alone....

Re: Falling Asleep / Oracles

Yeah, the "making you sleepy" thing is a classic STS ploy. I've dealt with that too.
Whenever I would get ready to study something metaphyical and STO oriented, BAM! I'd get so sleepy I'd be almost unable to resist lying down. But when I wanted to sleep, forget it. So what I do now is I declare mentally " I know what this is, and I'm not going to take it. Get OUT!" and that often works in getting rid of their hypnotic effects.

Other times( it helps to have an array of ways and means) I'll back of for about 15 minutes, rest my eyes but stay awake. First I may do an I-Ching reading to suggest energetic remedies, yin or yang. It's by tuning in to my real energies, as opposed to the manufactured thought form waves they bomb me with, that I am able to shrug them off more easily.

And going into a yang, energetic environment forces you to wake up and pay attention, as in what Lyra suggested : go to a place where people and everyday activities are present, and ironically, all of a sudden you're able to focus on what you need to learn...

weird, huh? yet it is often an old standby of STS.

Re: Falling Asleep / Oracles

Sedna, no-fair, you're equipped with an I-Ching? (sob)

I had it done for me one-time when visiting an acquintance (herbal/acupucture practioner) and it was most helpful.

I wish there was a computer-substitute for the rolling of the 6-coins, so I could impose you to give me a reading. big_smile

Re: Falling Asleep / Oracles

At 12:15 a.m. ET I was trying to post a response here about the I-Ching, when Bam! we had a total power-out. It was wierd, like someone did not want me to post something STO!

Anyhoo, I did not see the "Smoking" thread until today, and when I read Montalk's observation of STS forces manipulating the thread (which is no doubt the case as I think you are all swell!) I made a connection there. The power out could have been a pre-emptive strike to help an imbalanced state temporarily hold sway, get me "off course." I.E. the entire board's just been attacked once again.

Now, the I-Ching purists would say that computer readings are not valid, such as those at www.facade.com and on Crystalinks under "free readings" and elsewhere.
But I feel with the right focus I get a good result. It's important to focus and remember it's possible to get a bad reading, usually when I'm negative or banging my head against a wall I either don't want to hear what it's trying to say, or my energy's too garbled and fearful to get a good "inner sight line" to the reading.

As we have all seen how computers can be "surged" and highjacked through the user or the computer itself, it's probably best to be in a calm mood and do a general reading the first time out. At times, I've asked "What gives?" and as long as I suspend my anti-intuition too-rational self, I get several good suggestions or just a far better, more objective view of what can at times feel just terrible, but is really for the most part only Changes.

Every time I get hit or misguided, I'm able in this way to see that something is being re-arranged at causal levels, there is an invisible yet undeniable change in the lay of the land, and the shakeups can make me stronger and calmer and humbler if I choose to let insight guide me. Of course, most of my life I would get all upset first, then have to think about it. It's all a part of Natures way of signaling you that you need to back up, take a breath.... and like magic, the so- called problem either transforms into a solution or disappears!

Anyway I'm glad I have this tool. It's coming from the Tao, not myself, so it really helps. When I do it, I say " Let this reading be of an STO vibration and not an STS deception." Intent is key. Then let go of "my will" for the several seconds of the reading, create a bubble of all possibilites, and it's amazing what accurate and practical advice can be given.

If you use the I-Ching for anything STS, it will know it and get pissed off at you, and send you round-the-robin confusing messages, or else it will say something like "you irritate me" and nothing more. I speak from experience. Who hasn't been tempted to lash out? But it doesn't work that way, fortunately.

On the other hand, if you are basically STO and in real danger, the I-Ching will let you know. It can, if used properly, avert a hell of a lot of trouble.

Just remember, the Changes are there, but you make the choice of how to respond!

Re: Falling Asleep / Oracles

I wonder what you originally were thinking of posting that caused the 'strike'.

I get the oddest computer-problems sometimes. My mouse becomes possessed...I swear to 7th Density that it's more than just computer-errors. I hope the monitor doesn't explode in my face one day. Ark and Laura talked about their computers acting up when they worked on Cassiopaean material.

---

So, Sedna, would it ever be possible for you to do a reading...for let's say....me? big_smile

I just don't think it would work unless I was the one tossing the 6-coins. But I guess perhaps your intent being for it to discuss my fate would work.

Namaste.

[Edit: www.facade.com is cool. I wonder if I just find truth in whatever it says. As in, I find only what I want to see. wink Ah well.]

This happened to me yesterday with a private email with someone, I was writing about abductions. I was reaching up to click send and the power flicked off and then back on. No T-storms for miles, and my neighbor said she didn't notice it happen, and she had been home at the time.

This happens often lately to just be a coinkie-dinkie.

Re: Falling Asleep / Oracles

I agree with Sedna about electronic oracles, under the right conditions, being able to help spark your insight into the nature of a problem. It's no different from tarot cards in my opinion - as far as acausal influences creating synchronicities goes, I see little difference between the random motion of shuffling cards and the random pick of a binary number to select for you the oracle message. It's not the mechanism that matters, but rather the fact that the outcome depends on something random/unseen/chaotic, which provides an opportunity for synchronistic messages to manifest...it's a quantum thing.

Only when I'm stumped and could use a little kick do I consult an oracle. Otherwise I might get jynxed results or lose personal power by relying on it too much. What Sedna said about the conditions necessary for accurate readings is true to my experiences as well.

An oracle I have used sparingly is http://www.sabiansymbols.com - it's pretty good. For example, recently I was feeling strangely down and out of character for no apparent reason, wondering if it was just the weather or maybe something more sinister like abduction mind programing. I asked what was behind it and got this answer: "Hypnotherapy or hypnotic suggestion. Changeling and mediumship. Having insights that transport to a higher level. Conscious manipulation. Propaganda. Mind control."  I then asked what the best way was to counter it: "Hang onto your center and what anchors you and try not to get blown off-course."

Re: Falling Asleep / Oracles

The Sabian Symbols link is great. Someone contemporary doing their own up-to-date oracle is incredible! This adds another layer of understanding to things. The I-CHing and other ancient systems can no doubt be inscrutable for we people today, due to anachronistic expressions and analogies. Oh, well. I still kind of like that about the I-Ching though! When I'm really in need, somehow I get it.

I agree that oracles are best used when you're really stumped and stuck. A little oracle goes a long way!

Re: Falling Asleep / Oracles

Just found a great oracle that doesn't even know it's an oracle:  http://sxc.hu -- its a stock photography site, but click on 'randomizer' to get a random image in response to a question. Not bad, currently 161541 images from which synchronicity can select. That's 161463 more than a tarot deck. I've gotten some uncanny results so far.

Re: Falling Asleep / Oracles

Ha Ha. That's fun. I asked if a certain occurence was led by STS or STO
forces, and I got a shot of some nice fluffy sunlit clouds in a blue sky.

S'cuse me, where is this thread?

Also, whenever I have caught this tendency to checkout or fall asleep, it has interestingly helped to notice other little interferences, i.e. someone or something interrupting an interaction or discussion of some sort with something totally unrelated. What I have notice is the intensity of the STO energy seems to affect whether STS interference is able to occur. Sometimes when I am interacting with someone in and of a positive nature no interference will occur. Or when I am just doing something positive nothing can seem to interfere like there is no entrance key for STS to step into the situation. Has anyone else noticed this? Does this make sense?
