Topic: Polyphasic Sleep

http://www.stevepavlina.com/blog/2005/1 … sic-sleep/

Have been doing something similar for over a week and the results are very good so far.

I sleep from 2230-0300, 0715-0745, 1230-1300 and 1700-1730.

This schedule is easily manageable for those who work regular hours and are able to kip at their workplace after lunch.

The benefits so far include, more physical energy, greater concentration power, emotional stability, and less procrastination, despite the increase in free time.

In addition I feel less tied to the misguided aspects of collective social conciousness but in more intune with other people.

The adaption phase is interesting to say the least but once through it, the results are quite pronounced.

Only two hours of sleep? Thats not much deep sleep.

Re: Polyphasic Sleep

I've found the quality of sleep I get is much better. I fall straight into REM during my 24 minute kips and they often feel well over an hour. This only strengthens my belief in the illusionary nature of time. My dreams are very vivid and I sometimes feel like I'm shedding layers from my inner core. My poor Ego is struggling to keep up and insecurities have less tendency to run-away with themselves.

I'm currently reading Seth Speaks by Jane Roberts and this experiment was influenced by chapter 8, quote:

"As many light snacks would actually be much better than three large meals a day, so short naps rather than such an extended period would also be more effective."

Re: Polyphasic Sleep

I read that bit in Seth speaks... tried it for a day. Got really tired during the next day and felt it wasn't worth it because my concentration levels dropped. I know that persistence generates results, but I didn't continue. How are your concentration levels Nonki? I'm at University right now and studying so concentration levels are important.

Re: Polyphasic Sleep

Another request for an update here. I'm planning on starting this on Wednesday, either the full-on Uberman schedule or a 3 hour core sleep somewhere around 3am and another 4 30 minute naps. Any opinion on which plan is the best?
