Things happen at this time, horrible things that you don't want to see. Hurry and sleep. Then you won't see." This immediately followed one of the terrors, and I actually tried in desperation to sleep.
Another time I had a dream of a male voice droning, "Go to Canada. Go to Canada," accompanied by a map of North America with Canada highlighted in yellow. What was so unusual was the hypnotic power of it. I awoke thinking, "Yes, Canada," and for two days seriously considered going and thought about it constantly. Then it hit me: what the hell was I doing? Moving to another country because a dream told me to? Oh my God, I'm going insane! I NEVER do things like that!
Hi Mutant Mouse,
Yes, I've encountered this sort of thing. For me, it's like Montalk said - "stuff" talking through an implant, giving hypnotic commands. The work of Fritz Springmeier gets into this actually. He wrote a couple of books regarding government mind control and abductions and gets into the type of technology they're using, including remotely influencing people via their implants. When they speak to you through an implant it's nearly seamless with your own thoughts, so it's easy to not realize at first that it's even happening at first - it registers in the brain like it's your own thoughts. So you may even find that you're "talking to yourself", or answering back, before you have a chance to realize what's even happening.
I woke one time in the middle of it happening to hear a male voice repeating over and over "You will only see what's wrong and ugly with the world!! You will only see what's wrong and ugly in the world!!" My eyes flew open, hearing that, and I felt very alarmed. I'm glad I caught it. That sort of programming is extremely detrimental on a soul level, with large, far reaching consequences.
I've also experienced strange urges and compulsions to move to certain places, like what you described and what Montalk mentioned. Several times over the years I've had the urge to just get up and flee from the job I'm working at, just quit, right now, and run away....even though nothing bad was happening. Turned out after the fact that the job was important for me and led to good things, so had I caved in to the almost overwhelming urge to quit and flee, then I REALLY would have sabotaged my life. The most recent time this happened, back in September of 2005, not only was the urge to quit the job and run out the door, but also to run away from my entire LIFE. My boyfriend, my apartment, even ditch my cat. Just run, and be on the lam from my own self. It was a maddening, overwhelming urge. Outside the day was bright and sunny and absolutely beautiful, life was looking good, and there I was having all that going through my head. I recognized what was happening though........and so did nothing. If someone had walked into my office at that point they would have seen me sitting there, staring at the wall, staring off into space, looking blank. I just sat there and "rode it out." Eventually it dissipated, they gave up. So yeah, at this point in life, I question EVERYTHING. ALL thoughts, urges, desires, ideas, anything I'm going to say or do. ALL of it. I have to. They may not be my own.
But with that in mind, the trick though is to not become paranoid or fearful. It's the mistake that too many people make. You have to fight back and resist, but have no fear while doing it. It's a matter of "taking back your mind", taking back yourself. Exercising free will, and making sure that your choices, urges, words and decisions are really your own. It can be done, totally - it's not hard at all. You just have to stalk yourself. I could relate to what you said here:

I had this too. I have a tape recorder as well; I've also gone back and forth about regressive hypnosis, to uncover what's happened to me. But in the end you know what?? I don't think I can handle it. Sorry, I don't want to know, I can't HANDLE knowing. At least, at this point. I'll get there in my own time!
