Email clampdown in effect

Hello all...

In the past 3 weeks (beginning around the first week of February) I have had some major issues with emailing individuals.

I finally called MSN customer support yesterday, I am on an MSNTV2 internet terminal, to get some answers.

Last week my service did an "upgrade"
which is automatic, I cannot opt out.
Part of the update was to install an additional folder in mail speciically for "junk mail".

My first little headache involved an order I placed online, I immediately look for an email confirmation for the order, as always.

Nothin'

Ok....... wasn't sure if the order was received- I'm about ready to call the #
to confirm by voice, then I rememberd the new Junk folder. Checked, sure enough there it was. Well ain't that convenient.........

Not a huge deal, however in the following days I sent multiple emails to friends and relatives.

The AOL recipients all got bounced, actually messages told me they were delayed, and I did not need to re-send them. Alright, glitch I thought.

Then, another message telling me they did not go through- now I'm getting irritated.

I tried sending a few more, to NON AOL recipients, also bounced: delayed first, then rejected.

So MSNTV tells me that AOL has ALSO just made adjustments to THEIR "spam" filtering.

What a coincidence.

Am I to assume the other recipient servers, cox.net, rr.com, etc. did the same?

I am not falling for this shit- this is a smokescreen in my firm opinion, and the beginning of tighter controls on what---free speech.

And what better excuse to implement it?

Makes sense to me.

On a related note, when I was a more active member on the forum, there were several times, when posting, where I had my box shut down and reboot at precisely the moment I hit submit. As well as some strange "glitches" that did not involve a shutdown.
