Topic: Ghost Pictures

I got this picture from my downstairs neighbor. She just moved in about 3 months ago. She (Jane) had invited us over for some wine and small talk. I began to get into some ghost stories I have from this apartment. As I was telling her of odd events, the hair on my neck stood up as I stopped speaking. Jane asked "What is it"? I pointed to the corner of the room where this strong feeling was comming from. I pointed and said "There"! As my finger was still pointing in the direction of the kitchen, Jane's two little dogs came running in and began barking right where I was pointing. At that very moment, a picture fell off the wall to the floor. Needless to say, this made everyone feel uneasy. There were three other people in the room besides myself so anyone of them can verify this story.

So after this event Jane told me of a photograph her friend in Virgina had taken. Below is the photograph. I have no reason to suspect this image was tampered with. I honestly believe it is a genuine ghost pic.

The following  photos were given to me before I left California by a friend of mine named Jason. He claimed a little girl haunted his room. After experiencing parnormal lights at his houe, I believe him.

The first photo is with the blinds open and the second is with the blinds closed. Check it out: it mushrooms and creates a three dimensional field of energy.

Just thought I'd share and see if anyone had more input or photos to add!

Re: Ghost Pictures

Sorry man.....I don't have any photos myself, but I do have feedback.
HOLY GHOSTS BATMAN!!!!! The first is very unsual, compared to ghost photos I've ever seen. Made my heart jump. The last three look very similar to the others I've seen.
Has anyone attempted to communicate with any of them? There are ways to do it with a voice recorder and a couple of other common electronic devices. I watched a video of a short TV documentary on a paranormal research organization devoted to this subject. They went around from different buildings and houses believed to be "haunted" by deceased beings and recorded what is distinctly voices not coming from anyone living within the room.

Re: Ghost Pictures

Check out the movie "White Noise", it's a holloywood spin on this theme but has some good extra features of the people who actually inspired the flick. I've never gotten a spirit on tape but I believe it happens from time to time.

As far as speaking with the dead:

No one I know has the guts to really do it.
In the early to mid 1800's, spirituality was the "in thing", the "cat's meow". Everyone would come over to your house on a Friday night and bust out the ouija board or light some candles and call to the spirits of the dead.

Then growing up, our parents tell us that ouija boards are evil and satanic, that seances are the work of Satan.

Why?
What did our grandparents learn that they forbid their children from learning? That it is real? That we are capable of much more than we ever thought? That spirits will haunt your ass if you piss 'em off?
Whatever happend, most of our parents are scared to death of the ouija board. And we all know at least one person with an unbelieveable ouija board story. We always shrug it off as hyper imagination or over excitment, or exaggeration. Maybe not. Maybe it really does work if all the people involved have true intentions. Maybe we are missing out on something the ancients knew for thousands of years. Communion with the dead is not a fantasy. You just have to be open and aware enough to precieve it.

my wife did not believe it until we were pestered for about three months. Thumping noises in our bedroom until I would turn on the lights, a whole plate of food that went missing, odd feelings like someone was eyeballing us, and more bumps and thumps in the night. It became bad enough that we actually started talking about it out loud. I realized that whatever was haunting us, just wanted to be recognized. I told my wife to acknowledge it's existance. Let it know that you know. I told her this for weeks and she wouldn't do it because she refused to believe it. Finally after another run in with it's little noise making game, she acknowledged it out loud. She said "Hi. Please leave us alone." Since that day we have not been pestered. That's not to say we have been ALONE...

It may sound crazy to some but for me it is a reality. If you don't believe in it, let me ask you this:
Would you go walking into a very old graveyard at midnight all by yourself? Why not? Are you afraid of something?

You should be.

Would you go walking into a very old graveyard at midnight all by yourself?

Actually I have done more than once.  And I enjoyed doing it without a flashlight.  The little cemetary is surrounded by a chain link fence in the middle of nowhere.  There's a dirt road leading to it.  I walked down there one night in the dark, and I heard something to my right.  What could it be?  Prowling coyotes?  Scuttling racoons?  Or something else( shudder)?  I whirled around flicking on my flashlight, and there they were!

Cows!  With their great big shiny eyes starring back from behind the fence. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v103/roadradical/cow.gif
Boy, did I feel silly.  Glad no one was with me!

Re: Ghost Pictures

Oh man! That's funny Soloflecks! I grew up not much more than a mile from a cemetary, and we would go down there many times after dark. There were cow fields all around. Needless to say if you weren't aware of that it could get rather spooky.
Bhang, I saw that movie. That's where saw the video. Not a big Michael Keaton fan, or Hollywood movie fan, but I thought the idea was a good one.
Also, my wife got her present name from a quija board. We still have it in the closet. Never use, though. But, you're right. We are taught something is defenitely wrong about using them and other means of paranormal communications. You don't always know who you're gonna get with those types of things, but the same could be said for 3D. Hahaha!

Soloflecks makes me laugh! Cows indeed.

Well I'm glad to see a few here who are not afraid of a cemetary at midnight, yet let us remember that most American cemetaries are only about 200 years old (Yes there ware native burials but usually not in masss plots). Here in Europe there are old Roman ruins and cemetaries, stuff over a thousand years old with centuries of human enegery buzzing around it.

I've noticed a lot of city people I've met, dont give ghost or spirits more than a curious glance or a moment of wonder. Like most don't even believe that ghost have any validity. I've been thinking latley that radio waves, microwaves, cellphone waves and a host of other waves, might shut the whole brain off from picking up spirits in the alter realms. The city is full of distractions from things like listening to the wind or enjoying a moment of real silence. Could also be possible that radio waves, microwaves, cellphone waves and a host of other waves, could tune a mind into the alter realms to understand the phenomenon of "ghost"...

Whatever the answers, I've stumbled upon a great documentary about spirits/ghost. It's 40 minutes long and contains the best spirit footage I've ever seen (and believe)!

If you don't believe in wood faries or Tinker Bell, you just might after seeing this! I logged it over at my place here:

Thook said "we would go down there many times after dark".

Would you go alone, into the oldest cemetary you could find, at night, with no light and just sit there for an hour? Why and why not?

Re: Ghost Pictures

A couple of quick points from an old New Ager.

Ouija boards are doorways into the astral realm, where lots of strange beings reside. What to have some fun? Burn an old Ouija board. I hear the flames are unreal.

Ghosts can often be sent on their way by placing a Quartz Crystal in the window of the room where they stay. I did this on my dad's ghost and it worked very nicely.

There is a great book on the subject called "THe Unquiet Dead" which I like very much. I forget the author's name, but I am sure you can find it at any big bookstore.

Hope this helps.

Re: Ghost Pictures

My understanding is that when the eyes see something "unusual" the brain corrects the program, according to our programming, and we don't see the "anomaly".  A camera has no program -- it just processes data, and you get what you get.

You might like to check out www.burlingtonnews.net.  The site owner is into this type of photography.  She goes to power spots and photographs the paranormal.  She has many, many paranormal pictures on her site.

Me and my friend have noticed this all the time, when we would chill outside of town at the train tracks sharing our ganja. What was really wierd was when the silence would suddenly END, trying to pull us back into "city" thinking. And for some reason, every time we went to the train tracks, airplanes would come out of nowhere!, start flying paralell to the tracks, some of them circling above our general area.

Back to ghosts, my family + relatives have plenty stories, and so do my friends. My mother and her sister watched something punch the bottom of the mattress in the bed next to them, hurling the cat on top into the air! And they would listen at night to footsteps going up the stairs, but "they" never stopped at the 15-20 real steps, they kept on going.

And there was a story about a relative or a friend of one, that threw a peice of haunted/possesed jewelry off a bridge and heard the spirits scream!
