Topic: Member Photos - local areas and travels...

I mentioned in the Member Pictures thread about creating a thread where we can all post photo's from our local areas and some of the places we have been.  So here it is - and here are some of my photo's...

I highly recommed using Flickr - it is free and great for organising your photos...

Re: Member Photos - local areas and travels...

You've got some great photos, Marcus!  I love the pics of your village and the neighboring villages, the ruins, and the blue tinted one that you labeled "Haunted."  Cool stuff, all of it.  smile  Adorable farm kitty too!

Here's my direct link:  http://www.flickr.com/photos/carissaconti/sets/  I've added a couple of more pics since it originally went up on my site, and there will be more to come as soon as I finish off my current roll of film.

This thread is a good idea, I hope others post their photos.  It's neat to see where people live and where they've been, and what's meaningful to them...

Re: Member Photos - local areas and travels...

Thanks for the comments Lyra.  The other villages are actually from north England, you can tell cuz generally buildings in the north are made from stone, and thus are grey in appearance.

I think there is a law here in the UK where houses in those areas have to be built in a similar appearance to the surrounding ones (i.e. grey and from stone).  Southern houses are made from pretty much anything...most commonly brick red or yellow...there are a lot of houses similar to the ones in your flickr set http://www.flickr.com/photos/carissacon … 069897560/ - in fact my previous house was built in 1884 (that always amazes me to think there were still "cowboys" in the US when that house was built...seems too recent)

Anyway – anyone else got any photo’s to put up?  Would be nice to see…
