Topic: Strange encounters

Can anyone tell me what's going on?

Two years ago I'd experience visions of sorts while under the effects of Marijuana when I had my eyes closed.  I'd see shapes in green, mainly triangles, and a hearts and some others I can't quite rememeber (I was baked, sorry). I'd also have people walk up to me in my head and I couldn't stop them. They'd be 5 virtual meters away, stride to me an then dissapear. I couldn't make out any expression so had no idea who it was.

Some three months ago I was lying in bed. All of a sudden I see the siloette of the head and shoulders of someone right infront of me. Shit! And a surge of energy through my 3rd chakra. Then the figure went. That was quite scary.

Then yesterday I'm lying in bed with eyes closed, and the number six comes into my head. And there, 5 virtual meters ahead of me is the bald head of some male with red eyes. I couldn't make out any features apart from the bald head, ears and the eyes. The eyes. Red! Not read pupils, whole bright red eyes. Shit me what's going on? He left after a second or two.

Re: Strange encounters

Well Zarathustra (interesting name btw), speaking from personal experience, while having my eyes closed after smoking marihuana I also have visualized what I would describe as a kaleidescope or recursive geometric pattern of green triangles. I never thought much of it as back then I was just "smokin' pot". As for the rest of your visions, I cannot personally identify. Weed is classified as a hallucinogen, and can cause mild hallucinations. Common effects are time distortion, sensory distortions, fuzziness of memory, lack of focus, paranoia, etc.

On a spiritual level, I think marijuana opens up the higher chakras a bit, accentuating the perception of subtle layers of reality. It also sharpens the state of mind or level of awareness of the user if one is not able to focus ones thoughts (many people are incoherent even when sober!) nor control ones emotions. On a neurological level,  research has indicated that THC molecules (most active ingredient) have neuroreceptors specifically adapted to them. Well, actually, the receptors in the synapses are designed to receive cannabinols in general (the body produces natural ones). Other research suggests some effects of marijuana include the activation/stimulation of generally unused or rarely used neuronal pathways, as well as increased brain activity in regions where there usually is very little or none. Do some research and some sole searching, and you may find the phenomenological explanation for your experience as well as the symbolic meaning behind it.
