Topic: the ultimate disconnect- autotrophs

A while back I read an article about some people in Russia and India who neither eat or drink.

This is one of those concepts that linger in my mind, I don't follow up on some of them, but they just bake for awhile.

The first ? I ask myself is- "you got the balls to try it?"

No, I don't.
Never even tried fasting.

Second ? I ask myself is- "do you believe you could live without nutritional nourishment?"

YES.

And what basis do I have in that answer?

Faith, mind over matter, some kind of gut feeling (no pun intended).

If we are etheric beings, why would we require anything other than etheric food?

Is the human digestive system not  the sole processor of some of the worst anatomic pollutants?

I really do wonder if eating, at all, does vastly more harm than good.

I suppose this could easily be, also, one of the most significant "matrix"
deceptions.

If we believe we'll starve, we will?

And what of Eve, eating that first piece of forbidden fruit?
hmmm...

Re: the ultimate disconnect- autotrophs

We can see from the old stories that something critical did happen to humans in the beginning.  Remember the description of Eden included no predation even among animals.  Then, as Don Juan says, "they gave us their mind", and we became predators.  Of course, this goes beyond merely eating a fruit.  How did predation spread to all animals?  I also recall that the sanction against eating meat was lifted after the flood.  Why?

If I could time travel or remote view anything I wanted, it would be that era I would look at.  I want to know exactly what we were in the beginning and what happened to change us.

I wonder if someone who can view the akashic records(spelling) could view this time period.

Re: the ultimate disconnect- autotrophs

Ah, nutrition!

Any observer can see the problem of so-called "natural life", all living beings prey and eat each other. For me only this fact alone proves that unfortunately our 3D environment is STS.

But there's more to this observation. Nutrition itself is one of the most important factors that kills all the living beings slowly - by producing free radicals. According to well-accepted theories, these free radicals are some "rebel molecules" responsible from ageing to chronic disease development. And the main two reasons for free-radical production are breathing and eating - also the main two sources of 3D life!

Therefore, nutrition & fasting are interesting subjects for me. In all beliefs and religions we see some kind of fasting ritual and even recommendations of what to eat and not to eat. So it's very possible that eating is closely connected to our genetic fall or that critical thing happened to us long ago.

We may be etheric beings, but we are here on 3D experience with our physical bodies, not etheric bodies. So this body needs nutrition - oxidation of organic compounds in order to gain energy. The very process of eating -as I wrote above- gives us clues about the nature of this experience, I guess.

Re: the ultimate disconnect- autotrophs

Fresh organic fruits and vegetables are full of antioxidants that take care of those pesky free radicals.   This is one of the reasons for adopting a raw vegan diet, which doesn't have to be boring; yummy dishes can be prepared from all raw plant ingredients.   There are raw restaurants that have proven to be very popular, here's one: http://www.planetraw.com/raw-restaurant.php

Having said that...I still eat cooked foods, but make a point to include as much fresh raw produce in my diet as possible.  I think it would certainly be possible to thrive while eating a lot less or even without eating, but I confess I love food, so am not very motivated to do so...

Re: the ultimate disconnect- autotrophs

here is some sensible advise i feel on eating from Swami Krishnananda.

The mind operates as a whole, as a gestalt, as they call it in modern terms. You cannot isolate a section of the mind from another section. When you take your meal, the whole personality is operating. You cannot tell the stomach, "You mind your business. You take the food but I'll be thinking something else in the mind, doing something else with the hand, and with leg I'll walk." This kind of thing will not be permitted. The whole being has to eat the food, only then it can be digested, and it can be assimilated, and it will energize you. You walk on the road with a plate of food in your hand, thinking some mathematical solution and then eat - see what happens to you. This is not the way of eating food - it is an insult to the holy act of eating.

Sorry i cannot remember where i read this it may have been the book Moon Time.
When some people have found themselves in situations of starvation they have imagined tucking into meals and tasting the food, licking the lips and all that stuff they have faired better than others who did nothing.

Its not like we are fractions of the whole but rather versions of the whole.

Re: the ultimate disconnect- autotrophs

Interesting stuff, all of you- lots of stuff I had not considered.

Soloflecks- yours was the direction I was going. Maybe some connection with eating for survival as penance for an early disbelief or lack of faith?

Just pondering here........

Jen thanks for the tips on organic..
Not too long ago I'd have said 'aren't all fruits/veg/legumes organic?"

I did actually try the fruitarian thing because I've never really had a taste for most vegetables.

That lasted like a week.

I can't say as I do enjoy eating much.....
Kinda like fillin' up the car.
Wish I had a fuel cell or something, would just simplify things.

That's why I find the autotroph thing so interesting.

It's not that I don't like eating, but  the things I do like are the worst health-wise. I understand it has much to do with vibrational rates, so that concerns me.

I did find the article, from pravda.ru:
"Autotrophs: new kind of humans appear who neiher eat nor drink"

A notable quote: "it is not ruled out that they will replace us at a new evolutionary stage"

NEW KIND OF HUMAN?

THEY will replace US?

The wording begs my attention...

One man hadn't eaten for over 60 years and was "medically" verified.

May be bordering on ridiculous, I don't know....anything is possible.
