Topic: Asteroid Dreams

For the second time in a month I have had a significantly vivid dream of asteroids (meteors) raining down on the planet. The first one involved watermelon sized meteors raining down all over the globe and causing lots of destruction.

Last night, I was able to look down on the planet from above and see a rain of meteors of varied sizes striking mostly over the southern half of california, nevada and arizona - with an epicenter on the LA area. The weird part was that I saw the meteors hit the planet from space, and then I was at a lake, looking up at the moon and the moon set very very quickly, then rose again. I knew that the earths rotation was affected (or the moons orbit). some of the craters - impact radius - that these caused were enourmous.

I was discussing the moons drastic behavior with some people in my dream and we were talking about how, if the moon moved so quickly, wouldnt it jostle the oceans to a great degree - and wouldnt all that sloshing of such a huge body of water cause the earths orbit to wobble?

Any idea what a dream like this could be about? I dont think that I have prophetic dreams such that I really see this occuring - but two dreams of the same context but different details is pretty interesting.  Any Dream analysers on board?

I've been asking myself similar questions as I've been having such dreams for several years now (rarely but regurarly).

The dreams featured the Moon--mostly--and its 'erratic' behaviour. It was either too big, moved too fast, was closing in, appeared red or was falling in large chunks on Earth ('the sky is falling'/'nowhere to hide' feeling). Sometimes there were two Moons.

There also appeared other celestial bodies--the Sun (oversized), meteors or planets. The feel of the situation was that something extraordinary was happening and I would often take pictures on that occasion only to get frustrated that none would come back with me smile Guess, that's a way of indicating a desire to take important information back to the waking state.

I wouldn't be too literalist with the interpretation of the moon dreams. Maybe this image itself is a translation of some different, more subtle yet significant, event or process in progress or about to happen.

The interpretation that appeared to make sense to me was that those dreams symbolized a huge, permanent and irreversible change (since the mechanics of the sky--an apotheosis of reliability and permanence--was getting all messed up). Thought it applied to me on a personal level only but now I see there may be something of a more general nature to it.

Quite interesting. Wonder of others' insights into this.

Hi Phlux,

Last time you had a meteor dream, which I think was around October 10-15, did it come true in a symbolic sense? I have had both symbolic and literal prophetic dreams but find it difficult to know right away whether it was one or the other. For instance, meteor raining down could be a literal glimpse of an upcoming event, or it could symbolize distress in personal or business matters.

This morning I dreamt of a tsunami that swept through a crowded urban beach, looked like Florida or India, and either way it's prophetic of something ... whether a real tsunami or just a minor shake-up for me, I don't know.
