This is something that's interested me for about two years.  I saw this topic and wasn't going to post, but I now find my self typing after seeing Tom's enigmatic post. cool

I've had episodes (2 major ones, one for a couple mos and one for a few weeks) where crows would seemingly have or want something to do with crossing my path.  For example when I was driving, 1 or 2 crows would fly across the road, maybe 10 or 15 feet up, just in front of where I was... this happened so many times it was really quite something.  I never know what to make of it, but gut feeling I got was one of general negatively somehow.  I could be wrong, as I was in a time when my paradigm was shifting a bit, but.... weird.

Anyone else have similar experiences with crows or thoughts on the subject?

By the way... on the other hand I also feel that there is something positive about many other kinds of birds, like a good spiritual connection or something.

Re: Birds stalking me

After I inquired about the dead appearing as birds, and then reading Tom Paine's post, I thought of the movie "The Crow", about a murdered guy who rises from the dead with the assistance of a crow to avenge the deaths of him and his fiance.   Interesting.  (on a sidenote I'm playing The Cure's "Burn" from The Crow soundtrack, inspired by this thread.  big_smile )

To answer your question...........yes!   I have one that I remembered, that was REALLY weird, and definitely worth mentioning.   Back in California in 2000 when I was roomates with my brother and up to my ears in paranormal happenings, 24/7, (literally, it was BAAAAD) I had a strange crow encounter one morning.  I was sitting at the busstop in Rancho Santa Margarita, waitin' for the bus to go to work.  It was a pleasant morning, bright and sunny.   And I'm sitting there on the covered bench, and there's a Mexican guy sitting to my right.

A crow suddenly appeared, and landed in front of us on the street right up against the sidewalk.  It was facing us, and begins cawing and screeching and putting on a display like you wouldn't believe.  Wings flapping up and down, screeching, jumping onto the sidewalk then back into the gutter of the street again, hopping all about, I mean, this thing was going BONKERS.   I smiled at first...then began laughing.  It was totally funny.   The crow then flies on top of the bus stop shelter.....over to a tree branch......all the while cawing like a MANIAC at me, keeping his eyes on me.   CAW!!  CAW!!! CAW!!!! CAW CAW CAW CAW CAW CAW CAW!!!    Then back onto the road in front of me, hopping around some more, wings still flapping all around, it was hilarious.   This thing REALLY wanted to communicate something!  What, I have no idea, but damn was he attempting to get some point across!

I'm chuckling about the display this crow is putting on, and glancing over at the Mexican guy.....who I soon realize is not even looking.

There's no eye contact between him and the crow.  No acknowledgment WHATSOEVER on his part that this was happening.  When the crow was in front of us doing his thing, this guy was looking at his feet, glancing up the street looking for the bus, staring off into space.   When the crow hopped on top of the bus shelter and into the tree he didn't even look.   When the crow was back on the street in front of us going beserk, he was again staring off into space.

Even worse.......every time I chuckled, he kept glancing nervously at me, like "What in the frickfrack are you laughing about?"  He looked nervous and quizzical, like I was a crazy person talking to myself!!!!!!!!!

It dawned on me at that point....................maybe he doesn't see the crow.

And I looked back at the crow going bonkers, focused only on me, and it just clicked.

Interesting!  There's definitely something to that deal...

For some reason as I was reading your post I was picturing the mexican as the guy from Napoleon Dynamite who can't talk properly, the guy who shoots the sick cow in front of the school kids.  lol, sorry.  tongue

No need to be sorry, because I never saw it, so not sure what that's all about.   Somehow couldn't bring myself to watch the movie.  2 hours of that guy talking like that and I'd be ready to slit my wrists.  wink

hmm...  I'm not sure if the sun looks whiter than it used to be, but if it does, it could be an actual change in the sun or perhaps it could be also because of chemtrails and high-level spraying of aluminum oxides, barium, biologicals and the like.  It's been going on in earnest since about '97 or '99.  Sorry to go off topic, and I know this has been covered to death, but here's a few quick links:

Re: Birds stalking me

Crows do watch us.  Whenever they are foraging on the ground, there's always one on
a high perch who is the lookout.  Then another will go relieve the watch and let the
sentinel do some foraging.  They cooperate with each other.  And since we are encroaching
on their usual foraging areas, and also providing more new food sources by ignorant
people who litter with their discarded fast food items, they are becoming more acclimated
to being around humans.

Carlos Castaneda's Don Juan character frequently mentions crows as giving clues as to
what is going on in the unseen worlds that interpenetrate ours.
I have found that when I am startled by a crow or crows, that it's like an alarm call to
remind me to pay attention.

And it doesn't take much imagination to think about 4D STS keeping an eye on our
doings by temporarily appropriating a crow's consciousness.

And in 3D, if they can put a video camera on a flying insect-looking thing the size of
a cicada, then what else can they do?

I think most crows are just crows, but I think some are more than that.

The CIA has fake pigeons, dragonflies, and catfish for spying on people. There's a CIA museum with examples of these gadgets on display.

Re: Birds stalking me

Thanks for that, czyx,
Pigeons are not a protected species, as I recall,
nor are crows if they are caught harassing an owl.
Even a fake owl.

Ok, this is nuts. I just checked that site, and one of the "Owl's Wisdom" attributes listed is shape-shifting. I almost included this next part in my story, but then I didn't because it seemed to have a simple explanation. As I looked at the owl from my room it appeared to be constantly changing shape! I figured it was just an optical illusion because I was looking at the owl through venetian blinds in low light. I even closed one eye to see if it would stop, but it didn't. I never did pull up the blinds and check more closely, though.

Interesting thing, I think, is that sometimes we aren't meant, apparently, to investigate these kind of events further.  Like if you'd been able to go out and get real close and examine the owl, you would probably (or maybe not, who am I to say?) find it to be an ordinary owl.  But that doesn't discount the meaning of the exerience by any stretch.  It happened for whatever reason that only you could ascertain by examining yourself, and if we're living on "the path" (or whatever, or not) we know (knowing know) to live in the mystery (and majesty!) of the world, instead of being overly left-brain about it all or whatever.

I don't mean to attempt to overshadow the experience with the hawk in reference here, but a friend and I had a similar experience a couple years back.  We were driving home from another city here in Montana (what we call cities, anyway) and having a deep conversation - about what, I don't know.  (I should write these things down more.)  But at a significant moment in our conversation, a bald eagle swoops down right in front of us, like we were about to hit it and flies off.  We agreed it was an important sign, and I believe it occured at mile marker 111 or 11:11 on the clock or something like that.  Later again we saw a bald eagle on a mile marker, or maybe that was the first time.  Like I said I need to write these things down.  Lazy!

[...] K stepped inside the doorway, in the middle of a noisy, little drama. A tiny bird (sparrow or starling?) was flying wildly about, shrieking, and several men were trying to catch it, or wave it outside. K stopped in his tracks, taking in the scene, suddenly the bird turned, flew towards him and set down at his feet, looking up at him. K bent down to get a closer look at the bird. It held his gaze for a few seconds, cheeped, then flew up and past him, out the door.

The day after my dad died, a bird showed up and tried to get into the house through just about every single window and glass door of the house, insistently, for several hours.  It kept banging into the glass over and over, leaving feathers and blood on the glass.  It was so extremely strange that my family and I all took it as a sign (I had asked for one the night before in prayer -- prayer being something I was definitely NOT in the habit of doing).     We then came to find out that birds frequently appear in strange ways after someone has died; it's a common phenomenon.

Did you just brush it off then or did you gaze at each other, or befriend each other, if you don't mind my asking?

The glowing effect was NOT evident when I was there in person taking the picture, it just "showed up" on the photo itself.   This was yet another interesting subject I later learned quite a lot about from Jordan's work: the idea of Jesus as the  "sun" of God; the both literal and metaphorical "light of the world," as the Bible says.  This subject has since become pretty mainstream again lately with new books coming out on it regularly.  Interesting stuff.

That's an awesome photo.  Problem I've always had with the sun/son intentional homophone is it is, I think, only in English.  Is that due to an Anglo-centric approach to theology (evident for example in the KJV only crowd) or because of a sort of synchronicity indicating it's not that big a surprise that English became the dominant language?

Funny you should mention that - we've gotten that here where I live, (Charlottesville, VA)  I've seen it twice now.  Both times it made me completely stop my car in the middle of the road.   I don't know anything about hawks, but it didn't seem right to see, like you said, 30 or more hawks flying in a huge group like that.   The first time was on a dark and cloudy day in the afternoon, and I came home a little freaked out telling Tom about it;  my first thought when I saw it was that there was a dead animal nearby or something, like a deer, and maybe they had all come to circle over the meal.   So I was looking all over like, "Okay, where's the dead deer??"  Didn't see anything though.  The second time was last week or so, in the morning as I was driving down the street to work.   The exact same area as the first time, just different time of the day.

I don't know, but I'd be curious too if anybody had any kind of explanation or insight they could offer up on this.....

Re: Birds stalking me

It was beautiful though you know. Seeing so many hawks at once pretty rare I'd say.
