Topic: Is anyone here familiar with James Ray?

From my perspective James Ray is a very good spiritual teacher. In his sample
speech he discusses the five aspects of wealth: Financial, physical, relational,
spiritual and mental. He has had trancendental experiences while young but
didn't think much of them and went into business. He was very successful in business
and soon he began his journey into spirit. He is deep in the esoteric path, learning
from many different spiritual teachers including some shamans that are direct
descendants of the Inca civilisation.

Here is the link to his website: http://www.jamesray.com
This link is to his first program: http://thepowertowin.com/?partner=centerpointe

My question is has anyone been to any of his events and if they have what did they
think of it?

Re: Is anyone here familiar with James Ray?

I'm naturally skeptical of anyone who uses spiritual knowledge for material gain.  It's counterintuitive, isn't it?  If one has spiritual discernment then the illusions of matter are obvious and no longer have any value with regard to what is real.  A true spiritual teacher would be looking for those who desired to have better success cultivating spiritual fruits, don't you think.

Re: Is anyone here familiar with James Ray?

James Ray is not a spiritual teacher. I think that a success coach with tertiary education and spiritual understanding would better define him. He has interesting insights that would help anyone here in 3D to be successful and have more fulfilling lives. James has spent most of his life studying the thoughts, actions and habits of those who possess true wealth in all areas of their lives. I agree Soloflects that truly spiritual teachers do not teach purely for materialistic purposes as this would imply that they are STS beings and not truly STO. However, James is not a spiritual teacher, he is a teacher that promotes wealth and abundance. I think that's important in such a society now where pain, debt and suffering is so prevalent.

Notes I made from James Ray’s sample speech from the Power to Win weekend

*It’s not what you do that determines your success. It’s HOW you do it that sets you apart. Enthusiasm and attention will attract and generate more money and success than pure mechanical hard work.

*Making a decision about your life: Go for what you want and feel is right. Make a decision that will put you closer to where you want to go instead of running away from your problems.

*People who are CEOs of big businesses who have secure financial lives, but with terrible spiritual lives and relationships are NOT wealthy. On the other hand, people who are ‘spiritual’ are usually always sick and broke (David Icke needs money). It’s might not be true to say that all successful business people are spiritual, but it is guaranteed that those who are broke are NOT spiritual. Because spirit is not broke. A harmonic level wealth must be attained if you wish to experience life with everything it has to offer. A balance must be achieved with the five key components of wealth: financial, relational, mental, physical and spiritual.

The five key components of wealth

Financial: The amount of money in your wallet or bank account. You cannot advance spiritually if you do not have a certain amount of financial wealth. By the way our society is currently structured; you must have a certain level of this wealth in order to experience the things life has to offer.

Relational: 1) with yourself and 2) with others.

Mental: 1) intellectual and 2) emotional

Physical: 1) material needs and 2) health. You need a house, car and computer (You need a computer to get to NR!!) etc to survive in society. Physical needs are essential for your growth here in 3D. It is essential to your survival. However, they may soon become redundant later in 4D or whatever but right now they are important. Moreover, health is more important than fitness. Sometimes fitness is pursued at the detriment of health. Not a good idea. Health comes first and is internal. Fitness follows and is external.

Spiritual: You being in harmony with your creative source/god force/Tao/wami rami etc

*The common mindset for successful people: The results you create in your life relates to your intention, attention, energy, belief and desire to grow. What you create is directly related to your intention-attention balance.

Intention (Personal will) – What do you intend to create in your life? What do you wish to be living, breathing and eating? This is your intention.

Attention (Focus) – What are you putting attention to? Most people put energy and attention on their misery and give it life. Whatever you give attention to manifests. If you visualise and believe in something it will manifest. Attention is equal to love.

Energy (Passion) – This is very, very important. You need energy to achieve your success. Find something you love. This will give you energy. Love what you do. Only then will you overcome any obstacle, you will go over, around and through to achieve it. Only then will you be at your pinnacle.

Belief – You must have a belief in your self, others (interpersonal) and society (environmental). First and foremost you must have an unbending belief in yourself. Without this, how can you expect others to like you if you don’t like yourself?

Growth – You must be growth driven. It is a scientific fact that the universe is expanding and growing. This relates to the esoteric axiom “As above so below . If the universe is growing are you growing? We as spirits are here for one purpose. To grow. Remember this, if you’re not growing, you’re dying. There’s no staying the same.

---

James also discusses quantum physics which he has studied for more than a decade. I think he is a gold mine of understanding. If one is interested in wealth and success, one should have a look at his stuff I think. I’m planning to go to one of his seminars, but I’m still considering whether it’s worth it so I’m asking the opinions of people who know him. But I’m guessing no one here knows him?

Re: Is anyone here familiar with James Ray?

You're right, I've never heard of him.

Re: Is anyone here familiar with James Ray?

Hi Hildegarde,

I've heard of James Ray, but I couldn't really tell you much about him. I've read through some of his website I was actually on his mailing list for about 6 months but I never got round to reading any of the messages I got through it. I've been a bit busy lately.

Before spending any money with James Ray, let me recommend Mark Joyner's new course Simpleology - The Simple Science of Getting What You Want.

http://www.simpleology.com

The first part of the course is free and well worth doing. I don't think you'll find a better system of maifesting your goals. Although to get the most out of it you need to know what you want out of life.

Re: Is anyone here familiar with James Ray?

Andy,

The simpleology course rocks! Thanks Andy for that. It really gives you the basics of 'how to get what you want'. There are some interesting things in the course and since it's free it's definitely something worth checking out if you WANT something in your life.
