Re: Viagra linked to blindness

LOL AFAIK Viagra was originally developed for a for a different purpsose and the erections were a side effect that they noticed and the rest is history.
Just goes to show there is no such thing as a safe drug.

I heard that they give viagra to the men in old people's homes, not so they can enjoy chasing the ladies but to stop them rolling out of bed wink

Its not like we are fractions of the whole but rather versions of the whole.

Re: Viagra linked to blindness

When I read this headline, I was thinking what lesson (if any) there may have been in going blind from viagra. Maybe the guy's libido naturally fades away with age but social programming and intrapersonal factors urges him to violate his own freewill by drugging himself into a horny bliss. Then he goes blind because he cannot see just how sad that is. Ha, or maybe it's just a dangerous drug and he had some tough luck.

Acquiring fringe knowledge is like digging for diamonds in a mine field.

Re: Viagra linked to blindness

I think most people just do realise that  drugs have a broad action, imagine a line 2 feet long that is the drugs action. The action the user/developer or Doctor  is interested in is only a smidgen of the line and the rest of the line is called side effects.

Montalk has made a good point, Louise Hay has written books on the subject of mental and emotional causes of disease that covers some of this topic.
Then again we do not see this problem so much with natural remedies, maybe becuase they also have a broad action, ie Maca works like a miracle in some woman by addressing nutrition as well as rebuilding the adrenal glands and balancing hormone levels, so if their lack of libido is due to imbalance then this goes some way to address it.
Maca is really food though rather than a herbal remedy.

Its interesting what may be the price you have pay for denying your own body, it saddens me to see people carve up their flesh and put all sorts of chemical garbage on it in the name of vanity or denying old age, the quick fix pill or surgery rather than truly loving your body by taking as much care of it as possible and watching what you eat drink or put into it.
Beauty on the outside mask to show to world and imbalance within.

Its not like we are fractions of the whole but rather versions of the whole.

That is exactly it, aspirin is a good example. Science is always seeking that "magic bullet" without realizing that a broader approach is a better approach. They isolate the active ingredient and then wonder why people get upset stomachs.

Nature on the other hand knows this. Willow bark, from with salicyn (aspirin) is derived also contains many ingredients to calm its tendency to upset your stomach.

The real question is, how did nature know we'd use it as a pain reliever?

Or as an aphrodisiac?

Do a search on maca + natural viagra, and see what comes up...

I just thought the same thing when I read the news. Great symbology that is!

Re: Viagra linked to blindness

healthy eyes require a decent ammount of bloodflow. (think about it, they're mostly aqueous in nature) If the bloodflow to eyes is cut of for whatever reason, they're not as able to take care of themselves. So having a huge libido can ruin your eyes. However, I found that total darkness and or eyes being unused during sex or sexplay helps a great deal with this issue, as there is no eyestrain involved. Or, get your body balanced in such a way that you can keep the bloodflow to both steady. (that is, healthy auqueaous pathways in the body)

Just a basic medical thought from a self and other (simultaneously) expert.
