Topic: Sean David Morton - Intuitive Predictions

I went a a "No Nonsense Prophecy" conference in Phoenix.  I heard Sean David Morton give a two hour talk.  He is known for his intuitive predictions and he is a regular guest on the Coast to Coast radio show.

I'm going to post some of the predictions that he made.  For him, these were not new predictions.  Rather, he reiterated predictions that he had made before.

Here goes.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

He said that Mount Rainier, a volcano in Washington state, is going to erupt in 2005.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

He said that in Fall 2005 or early 2006, we will see a dramatic economic and stock market decline in the US.  The value of the US dollar will decline significantly.  The price of gold will increase substantially.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

He had more to say, but I will leave it there for now as these are some major near term predictions.  We will see what happens.

Re: Sean David Morton - Intuitive Predictions

Maybe he's been working with Michael St Clair, who has had these same predictions floating on his website for the last year. Is anybody else aware of him? He's a bit doom and gloom, saying that we are going to experience a sort of 'Waterworld' like experience and that we have to buy gold and Ham radios as the net will fail. Has anybody else logged onto his website? He's a **** hot astrologer and can back up all his predictions scientifically, but I had to leave his forum as it was a bit too gloom and doom.... Especially if you weren't in a position to move house, to somewhere safe and buy gold. Don't know about you, but A) I don't want to move and B) can't buy gold. Can't post his link, as I just tried it and it failed but just look Passage to Peace and he has various forums that you can look at. Could be interesting.... Let me know hat you think x

Re: Sean David Morton - Intuitive Predictions

shooting star,
I have not heard of Michael St Clair.  I will look into his work.

Yes, just going by the above predictions, it does seem to be doomy and gloomy.  However, Sean Morton fits these predictions within what I consider to be a coherent metaphysical framework that does not emphasize the negative.

I wanted to get these predictions posted because some of them are near term and we don't have long to wait to see if he is accurate in both the event and the timeline.

If he is inaccurate, them maybe it's time to discount other things he says.  If he is accurate, then maybe it's time to pay more attention.

I think that it is more helpful to get the predictions out ahead of time rather than after the fact say: "This person said that was going to happen."

Yeah, but then what do you do if you interfere with the "prediction" and then it doesn't happen.... smile

Actually, it doesn't take an intuitive to realize that that is what Bush plans to do, engineer a "t'rrist attack" to meet his goal of invading in Iran in June.  Someone even announced that the US was planning to invade in June.  Given the debacle in Iraq, Bush would need something like annother attack to carry out his plan, maybe on 6/11.  Of course I ranians are no dummies, they have been building bridges with Russia and China lately.  In fact, we have almost a full blown system of alliances in place.  I can see nothing positive coming of this at any level, physican or metaphysical.  I will be attempting to thwart these energies, intending their redirection.  Hmm, when I typed that, I thought I sensed "other plans", although I couldn't pinpoint them, but they didn't feel positive.

Let's see what happens....

Good point.  I started the post in order to raise awareness.  I have no problem with destruction being averted due to an increase in awareness.

Sounds fine with me.  What I meant by that is that when I look at the full body of Sean Morton's work, or even a full talk given by him, I do not get the impression that he is trying to spread fear.  I get the impression that he is trying to raise awareness.  Sometimes the awareness pertains to negative events that might happen.  And with awareness some events can be changed.

Indeed.

Re: Sean David Morton - Intuitive Predictions

Does anyone know how accurate this guy has been in the past?

Like, for example?  Was he saying there'd be a major economic collapse in five years in fall of 2000?  Or was he saying it'd be in Jan. 2001?  If his prophecies used to be far off but now are next month, then I'd be really interested, but if he's the sort that for years and years keeps saying next month, then well...

Good questions, thoughtcrime.  I first heard him speak on Coast to Coast in about February of 2004.  So obviously, not that long ago.  He's beeen on Coast to Coast every few months and Art Bell and George Noory seem to think pretty highly of his predictive ability.  He's been on the Coast to Coast radio show for about 12 years.

One that got my attention was that apparently he predicted the time, location, and magnitude of the 1989 earthquake in the San Francisco Bay Area.  I happened to be in that quake.

Also, he apparently predicted the peak of the stock market and the ensuing decline for the recent 2000-2002 stock market decline.

For this particular set of predictions that I listed above he's been saying the same thing for over a year with regard to the events and the timeline.  No, he has not been pushing the timeline back, it's been basically the same, and he just reiterated it again a week ago.

There are also various prophecies coming together or that can be placed together.  Many people refer to 2012 as a key year for a shift.  7 years is often regarded as the duration of a tribulation period that comes before a major shift.  So obviously, if you take 2005 and add 7 you get 2012.

Re: Sean David Morton - Intuitive Predictions

Just from watching events unfold I'd say he's on target, and we'll see how it all works out.

Re: Sean David Morton - Intuitive Predictions

I became a bit disenchanted with him after recieving his newsletter and following his predictions for a year or so. He seemed to revise some of his predictions as time went on to make them appear more accurate, also had a bit of a "Hollywood" ego. I'm not accusing him of being totally bogus but my two cents worth nonetheless.

I think that it is fair to say that Sean Morton has a big ego.   (I bet he would agree as well).

But I think that he does understand service and what it means to stand for your opinions and attempt to increase awareness, even in the face of people who see things differently.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

These are some additional ideas that I have on the matter.  I think that increasing awareness can cause changes in the probable timelines.  In my opinion, I think is is possible that one person with a pure heart can transform the world.  Still, I think that it is helpful to be realistic with regard to how much negativity and lack of awareness is currently present on this planet.

While it may be interesting if the events described above match up closely with regard to what actually happens in terms of content and a specific timeline prediction, a more general point is that given our current situation I think that the events themselves lie along a probable timeline, whether it ends up being sooner or later.

A task and purpose may be to anchor a positive frequency even in the midst of swirling changes.  I think that we may be entering a "perfect storm" of Earth changes, and social, environmental, political, and economic discontinuities.  The spiritual side to life may become more evident.

There may be more dark nights ahead, but I have a feeling that many people here may have already lived through their "dark night of the soul".  To some extent, I think that has been my experience.  Having been through that and emerged on the other side, it may be more possible to remain calm and assist others even while living through a period of dramatic change.

Re: Sean David Morton - Intuitive Predictions

I just did a search on Rense regarding Art Bell, because I remembered seeing Sean David Morton's name listed as one of the issues that Jeff Rense and others have with Art Bell.     Here's the article I found that I remembered:

Sean David Morton

"Art loves advertising supposed psychic Sean David Morton as having "more hits than the Mob or Barry Bonds." This strange attitude toward this long time guest continued well after I exposed Morton in a series of articles.

You may recall The Shameless Psychic And His Prophecy Of Lies, my investigative piece exposing many of Morton's claims. Morton apparently didn't like the attention. A few years after publishing the article on my website and having invited Morton several times to comment or refute what I had discovered, Morton tried to silence me with a $1,000,000 lawsuit. Morton hit one bump in the road he didn't see coming: You actually have to produce evidence in court as opposed to just talking.

Amazing that Morton, advertising himself as "one of America's greatest psychics", didn't have the precognitive ability to see that he would lose his own lawsuit and be ordered to pay my attorney $16,000 in legal fees after being challenged to provide evidence of his claims.

Morton lost his lawsuit because he couldn't present a microscopic grain of evidence to prove any of a number of his claims, including his claim of having earned a doctorate degree in Theology. One might surmise this would be easy to prove by simply providing your degree and/or copy of your doctoral thesis. Morton was given the simple task of providing proof that I had indeed made a single false claim about him. He couldn't do it.

You'd think this would raise an eyebrow with Art. Nope. Art hopped right along and came to the defense of his long time guest. Art held nothing short of a one-sided radio pep rally for Morton, never mentioning details about the lawsuit, who the lawsuit was filed against, what the specific charges were against Morton, or where listeners could see the information refuting Morton's claims.

Art told Morton, "But the accusations, I would like to deal with those." Of course, this never led into any questions focused on Morton's claims that I had clearly refuted. Instead, Art asked Morton about his hit ratio and Morton spun on not once addressing any specific information I had published nor offering any of the supposed evidence he often boasts of having to refute it.

Morton also claims to be a trained remote viewer, another of his many refuted claims. Morton charges upward of $650 per student for a three day workshop on "Spiritual Remote Viewing", which Morton now sells as his "Spiritual Survival Workshop."

After having been vindicated and having the facts on record with the courts, Jeff invited me on his program to talk about the lawsuit. He also invited Morton to come on to tell his half of the tale. Of course, Morton went on the air with Art where he knew he would be immune from offering any proof or being asked anything other than powder-puff interview questions. Morton called me a liar on the air without offering or being asked to offer any proof. I was referred to as an "individual" and tossed in with "various websites" who were "after" Morton. Art never identified the source of the information, once again leaving listeners without the other half of the story...the half with the facts on record.

Now Art advertises Morton as a "controversial psychic." Really, there's nothing controversial about anybody with the inability to prove their claims..."

Re: Sean David Morton - Intuitive Predictions

Thanks for the info.

It makes me think of the idea of "proving" intuition.  Also, trying to prove the ability to accurately predict the future.

One way to look at  the data is statistical analysis.  I think that this can be a helpful tool.  However, often many pre-conceptions go into the phrasing of the questions and the selection of which questions will be asked.

If I heard about somebody who claims to be able to predict the future with some degree of success, then I would be skeptical as well.  In fact, I am skeptical.

I deleted one of the possibilities that I had posted.  Maybe for some things it's helpful not to focus on them too much.  We'll see what happens.
