Topic: Thanks montalk....

Hi ya montalk,

Thanks for the great web site.... I can only imagine the hoops you've leaped through to bring Noble Realms to the Light it is... Whoa!

To think...  it's only been one year in "creature" time, and yet, still, so very much growth..... it blows my doors about how much growth has transpired here.

What a service it is that you offer big_smile.

Kindest of regards,

Auendove

Re: Thanks montalk....

The thanks is mutual; between a good maintenance crew and a self-regulating membership, NR has remained relatively healthy. I'm thrilled that this forum is still going, and going strong. In the beginning I did have doubts about how long it would last, solely due to what I had seen on other message boards that either ran down or were torn down. It's like corruption always creeped in from the bottom up or the top down. But with NR, so far so good. Hopefully it will last as long as it needs to.

Re: Thanks montalk....

So what is the official anniversary date of NR? I was thinkin' it was March 3rd....

Well, you can count on me to be here every day, ready to read and/or write, and always, always ready to learn.

Tom, heehehee, I was bit sake-fied last night after having made like 13 different sushi rolls and stuffing my face roll so I didn't write then what I'll write now, that whole "self-regulating" gig you know... but by no stretch of my wild imagination it is still true today--

I love you, and you are precious.

Re: Thanks montalk....

absolutely!

ill admit that most of the sites/ forums i tried to find when i began this journey would also end up kind of ..."bleh" - something just wasnt right with any of them... and then i found montalk!

this place has the most unique vibe to it ive ever come across in the digital cyberspace world. and the vibe flows thru that and into the real ("real" ['real' world])... hehehe

im glad to be a part of this community, thats for sure!

Yes....I know what you mean!   That's mostly due to who was posting on those sites.   You'll notice that most messageboards get overrun by crazies posting a lot of noise, causing a chaotic vibe and turning off the valuable posters from contributing....or even bringing down the forum completely.    Montalk's done a kick ass job of keeping out the noise and crazies and low FRV people who want to wreak havoc.    Seriously, when you look around at all the regular posters here at NR they pretty much all feel "real".   No low FRV crazies.

On a sidenote, thought I'd mention this since it illustrates this point exactly:  but the the Goro Adachi (Etemenanki) forum has been removed, yet again, as well as the reader comments section on his web blog.   He's been periodically removing it over the past year.  My only guess is because it's just gone majorly down hill.  LOT of noise going on over there, lot of negative posters fighting and throwing out nasty barbs at each other, LOT of religious fighting...oh my lord!   The Wiccans versus the Christians, that runs RAMPANT over there.  Lot of people posting stupid stuff.   Pages of threads that are just some silly news article that doesn't relate AT all to ANYTHING that's talked about over at Etemenanki, then you've got people with their own personal agenda using his forum to advertise their agenda, (promoting Wicca, defending Christianity, etc.).   It was just totally overrun by the "noise".   You could tell though that Goro wasn't invested in his forum;  he doesn't babysit it, rarely posts, doesn't really care what goes on, lets the weeds get overgrown, figuritively speaking.   He lets it get to a crisis point then just removes the entire thing, instead of taking care of it along the way.

Then you have Noble Realms in comparison.............!   This is a very cool place, with lots of quality people posting.   Thanks to everyone who contributes!   smile

Re: Thanks montalk....

I will have to admit, the "growth" modes inspired by this forum have  far surpassed the usual stuff presented by our day to day experiences (for myself).

Most noticed is the wisdom and insight of the 2nd generation folks. (AKA beyond Indigo youngstas)   big_smile  big_smile  big_smile   This aspect is very inspiring, and gives hope to what will possibly incur in the near future.
