Topic: Lost years in the history

Ok, I'm reading the Old Testament nowadays and I'm really really fascinated! I can't believe this! These "holy" books Old/New Testament and Quran gives us compeletely different, alternative history. You can clearly see in Old Testament that "The Contact" with some extra terrestrials has already been made looong long time ago. So I wonder when did we get that much blind, misguided and lost? When did we turn the magnificent info in holy books into organised religion crap and meaningless dogmas? Strange.

It's obvious to me that there is a "black hole" in our history - at least as we learnt it. Or as "they" taught us. Look what we have as official history: "we are living organisms that evolved "coincidentally" in a lineer time/space continuum. Earth was huge masses of gas once. Then this gas masses came together and solidified. There was random reactions between some molecules and guess what? Suddenly a molecule had conscioussness. Then came that famous lineer evolution. Why did this random reactions only happened on earth in whole universe? We already told that; coincidence. Nothing more... Ah, by the way, we are alone in the universe. You'll be mercilessly ridiculed if you believe/say the opposite"

Ok, this is really making fun of us. Making fun of our true potential, true power, our unique concioussness. Who's making this? I don't care if it's illuminati (yes, I'm bored of them too), brotherhood of something or The Sphere/Field as Stuart Wilde says (which came more reasonable to me than all others) - something/somebody's lying us all the time.

Having these in mind, I began to search for alternative sources for history. I want to fill that black hole and learn what is hidden from us. There are lots of books, writers. I would like to learn your advices on which books to read. For example I have Graham Hancock's Talisman in my mind. Did anyone read it? Or would you recommend Laurence Gardner's books? Any advice is appreciated.

Hi ferit!  Glad to see you're back!   Don't have time to write anything, as I'm on my way out the door to work, as usual.   Just wanted to say Hey before leaving.    Will contribute something later............  smile

Re: Lost years in the history

What makes you believe that the "holy books" account of history is any more truthful than what you already know? I am of the opinion that none of the sources are completey true. It is too likely that all sources have been tampered with throughout history. I have a feeling that there are bits of truth scattered through all the sources, but it is very difficult to piece back together.

As for alternative sources of history, sorry I can't help with that. Unfortunately, any source you find will undoubtedly be biased by the author, and you are just as likely to come across disinformation as you are to find useful info. I definitely advise you to tread carefully.

Neither creation or big bang are sufficient explanations in my view. I don't think we can ever know the complete truth of how we came to be here. At least not while we are still on this plane of existence.

good question. i can only say "intuition". all 3 holy books has some pieces that fit together well. i search for cross-checks to follow any info and yes they're all there. but of course there may be misinformation in them too.

you may be right about the complete truth, but i think we should be a bit ready and informed when we leave this plane to the next level. aren't we all working for this? smile

by the way, i found a thread on NR about graham hancock's works. he seems to give some mis/disinfo too. can we ever find a reliable source??

Re: Lost years in the history

I agree that the holy books have some pieces that fit together quite well.

Of course gaining knowledge to be ready and informed before we punch out is definitely a common goal. Intuition can be a very good tool to use as a sort of "BS filter" as I like to put it. Unfortunately, intuition can also be falliable at times. Sigh.....I suppose it is probably better to have the good info with the bad than to have none at all.

For me, I've been basically turned off of the religious books entirely at this point as I find the information they give is mixed up/occluded and there seems to be a high noise ratio. If you can filter out the BS then good for you. smile

If you do come across some reliable resources regarding this please let me know. smile

Re: Lost years in the history

Hi Fertivica, I too have been re-examining some of the older religous texts from a historical point of view and someday would like to complete some sort of timeline that would include as many references from as many cultures/traditions as possible...well as I said, someday, ha.

Here's a couple books you may enjoy that feature some interesting takes on the subject if you're not already familliar. Each in their own way, I found them to be a good balance to the 'dogma' side of the holy books.

"The Gods of Eden" by William Bramley

"Humanity's Extraterrestial Origins" by Dr. Arthur David Horn

Re: Lost years in the history

Somewhere on Crytsalinks is a reference to the Dogon tribe of Africa, who
knew of the exact distance, I believe it was, of the Dogstar, and had it all mapped out, in their terms, long ago, claiming that this was where they originated and that they communed with their brothers on that planet. Now, some of this could be wrong, I don't recall, but I bet if you do a search on that site you'll come up with something.

Oral histories hold hints of hidden happenings and unknown events, in all cultures. I've not found them together in one source, but I haven't really looked. So many aboriginal cultures have claimed that they were visited by celestial beings, yet no one believes them. It will be tough for us to gather and cross reference this kind of information, and there with be tar pits of disinformation. But I believe you could piece together some kind of chart showing origins, locations, and events, and you would find so many parallels that it would be impossible to deny. For sure, even old-hat stuff is still kept under lock and key, because only with the knowledge hidden can TPTB remain in power and make money. But who cares? The knowledge will be cool when we bust loose, and people will need some sort of guide or clue.

A book called "Celtic Art" by George Bain holds a cultural relationship between peoples as diverse as Northern Europeans, Africans, Indians,
Native Americans, Tibetans, and more. The same designs, some of the same stories, are found in far flung zones of the globe, linking them all together, suggesting many different theories as to this "hundredth monkey" like phenomena.  Yet all of these cultures involved direct gnosis, making it harder to understand "how they did that." Try copying a single Celtic knot design, and you understand that these people had vast intelligences, maze- like mystery systems, and intricate initiations into the unknown. Yet the simplicity of the created belies the intricacy of the
recieved knowledge. The thorough cosmologies suggest a knowledge of what lies "out there."

Did they seek to prevent all outsiders from entering into their secret chambers? Or did they warn us all of the current realities, and alternate realities? Perhaps only they can tell us....if we dare to ask them!

Re: Lost years in the history

Thanks all. Stephen, I just finished Bramley's Gods of Eden and began Old Testament because of this. I'm surprised to see Bramley's info has background in Old Testament and also has lots of links to Quran, which I read before. I dont know about Dr. Horn's book, I'll try to find it, thanks.

Sedna, great questions in your message! I began to realize there are some warnings/in depth infos about alternative realities in holy books - rather than "don't come closer, we are chosen" message. These books may even be telling us about some alternative/parallel earth stories. But, as flamingsnail says, you have to filter a lot background noise to reach these.

Speaking of noise, there is clear reference to cymatics in Old Testament. David's people crashes city walls by screaming and playing some horns! Vibration energy I suppose..

Re: Lost years in the history

Yeah, I could use such a session of cymatics myself right about now. But alas!

Re: Lost years in the history

Hi feritciva....been meaning to show you this thread:

http://noblerealms.org/forum/viewtopic.php?id=1229

Thought you'd get a kick out of it in light of your search into alternative history!  big_smile   (edit: actually I just noticed that you'd posted on that thread....nevermind!  haha)     And I see too that you've found William Bramley's book, The Gods of Eden.   It's a great read.

As far as lost years in history goes, how about this:  Somebody I know had a dream where they were shown that things in this reality are / have been completely manufactured by a higher force. (think aliens.)  They were shown as entire things, including historical things such as cemetaries, old buildings, etc., were completely fabricated, appearing instantaneously.    They were thinking either this dream was disinformation, or it was a truthful message.  But talk about paranoia...ever since they told me about this dream I've been looking around at everything a little warily, have thought about history a little differently.  I live in an old, historical area with a lot of historical buildings and whatnot, but now I have a new perspective.   A small voice going "what if.....what if none of it is real?....what if it is all manufactured??  what if there IS no history as we think we know it????....ahh!!!"   A little like "The Matrix" I guess.  Sometimes I do wonder....

Whoa.  I've never even thought of that.  Duh.

Re: Lost years in the history

This is probably old hat to most of you, but it reminds me of an old Steven Wright joke where he says: " I went to sleep last night, and when I woke up, everything had been replaced by an exact replica of itself!"

And of course, in Dark City, where entire blocks are just slurped up and replaced by others, along with the memories to go with it. Yeah, definitely a mind bender, and I believe that there's more to it.

Once I had an experience where things rolled in upon themselves as they happened. For a brief time, between current time perceptions (visual phenomena, auditory, etc) there was absolutely
NOTHING!

There's nothing "there" folks! It's all a self and other created illusion, literally a shared dream! That was how I felt at the time.
I was certain that some veil had been lifted for me, that I had seen beyond "things" in the world, seen how my entire brain/body/spirit complex created this world, caused me to percieve it as I did out of habit and mind contol and practice.

But if I would only LOOK, I would see that there is nothing there to look "at."

Yes indeedy do. Very scary experience. After that I knew what the Buddists meant by "the void." Literally. Scary and exhilarating all at once.

Then you see things like "Dark City" and start putting other pieces together...and who ho hoooooo!

Re: Lost years in the history

Having read a lot of alternative history books the newest one that I haven't read
is Laura Knight Jadcyk's book on Ancient History.  It's available from the
Cassiopaean website, but you gotta use PayPal to order it.  (That bothers me,
since PayPal is taking upon itself to steal the money which they consider is going
to organizations that they don't approve of)  I've only used PP once to get her
book The Occult Meaning of 9-11.  But this was before PP was being a Nazi.

I would like to read the book but I'm skittish about using PP to get it.
I respect Laura's investigative work and I'm sure the book has many
surprises in it.

Re: Lost years in the history

If everything is illusion, then the past is as well.  If the purpose of being is knowing through "lessons", then only what we have learned, that awareness, is "real".  So my question is does the search for the missing details of the past serve to increase our awareness or is it an intentionally placed pitfall on the path to awareness?  Although I suppose if it's a pitfall then that in itself is a lesson.

Either way, it's our nature to explore and want to know.

Re: Lost years in the history

I think that exposing coverups and lies about what happened in our past serves to
awaken us from the fairytales we've been told.  This in turn engenders a healthy
skepticism about what we're being told, and can spur seekers to want to find out
what kind of illusions we have accepted without questioning.
However, it can take the place of inner questing by being an all consuming distraction.
Once one sees what has been going on, one can busy oneself with the minutiae of
digging up all this stuff or one can try to find out what to do about it.  If anything.
But the study itself and the shocks it can give the sleeping masses are worth
something, IMO.  But only those who have ears to hear will be interested in
following that white rabbit down the rabbit hole.
