"The UFO Phenomenon" -- Peter Jennings reports

Oh, I hope that the disclosure begins, but I really don't have my hopes up.  I've read "UFOs and the National Security State" and I can recommend it.  It only goes up through 1973 though.  I've heard the author present and I think that he is intelligent and well grounded.  He's working on the follow-up book which I think will be 1973 to the present.

One of the funnier and more insightful lines in the book is something like this: "This United States thinks that it is Luke Skywalker but it is really closer to Darth Vader."

Well, sorry to all those who wasted 2 hours last night watching this tripe. There wasn't anything at all hinting at disclosure, more like the exact opposite. Basically the government has no involvement whatsoever with aliens and all believers are wackos. Gee, how original. But for those who didn't watch it, there was nothing "reported" that most other UFO specials (like the History Channel ones) haven't covered.

Don't look to the mainstream media, news and politics for hope, answers, "truth", or encouragement.   You need to do your own research, and make up your own mind for your own confirmation on things.   In time that will be enough, and you will hopefully no longer need some program on the Glass Teat to provide those things for you.  In time you can generate it on your own.

Very true.   It's good to watch things with a detached analytical eye if possible, for the reason you stated, but try not to get any hopes up about anything....this way you won't be disappointed!   

This whole UFO disclosure thing to me is just distraction.  They will never reveal anything about the UFO's and aliens, not the full truth of what they know.  There will never be any formal announcement, and there will never be any big formal revelation.   I see people getting all excited about it (not necessarily talking about this thread...thinking of other threads that have come and gone at NR, stuff on Rense, stuff on the Goro forum....)  but to me it's silly, because it'll never happen.    Even Ellie Crystal said this same thing this week on her site, that "they" will never ever disclose anything.    Whatever became of India's big revelation?    Remember they were supposedly all set to reveal something?     That was several months ago.   Whatever became of it?  Nothing.  Nada.    Did anybody sincerely believe that they would?    So, no surprise there.   And I don't mean this sarcastically or condescendingly, (messageboards don't convey tone of voice.........!)   I mean it very matter-of-factly.

And as far as many people's belief in an actual alien invasion, whether real or holographically generated by the Powers That Be.........I just don't see it happening either.   I've never felt that that scenario was in my future.   The idea that a world like "V" or "Alien Nation" will ever be our future just seems so ludicrous to me.   I don't know, I just don't feel it happening.

So it begs the question...................why the huge major indoctrination program that has gone on for the past 30 years to warm the public up to the idea of aliens?    Well, being that I don't believe an actual open, overt invasion will ever take place, I personally think it was / is to get the public cozy to the idea of aliens in order to invite them into their personal realities and allow for more abductions.    Abductions suit many purposes for them..............food, experimentation, reproductive purposes, etc.    It's sidestepping the whole "free will" concept.   Get people to open the door themselves.

Agreed.  What a joke.  They didn't even bother interviewing Rich Dolan (author of UFO's and the NSS).  Of course Dr. Michio Kaku always offers positive and open minded insight.  They made clear that the "artist" Budd Hopkins was the only "real" adbuction researcher, with no mention of David Jacobs or the late John Mack (both whom hold degrees).

Speaking of degrees, the part of about the SETI Astronomers debunking UFO's was really funny.  "If we really thought that the aliens were right here already, why would we both with all this expensive satelite equipment?"  Could point Dr. SETI.

Overall, here are the same old counter-theories:

-- space travel takes too long for any "alien" to survive the travel
-- except with "worm holes" which require technology "millions" of years beyond our own
-- abductions are just dreams
-- hypnosis is just subconscious suggestion by the hypnotist
-- Roswell was a crashed "Project Mogul" craft
-- Phenoix lights were just flares

Blah, blah, blah, blah.

If you repeat something over and over again, eventually it becomes true, right?
