I don't know if any of you have noticed, but we seem to be in some very intense
times right now.  The following is Captain Universe's (Chris Hedlund) take on

Surfing The Mars-Pluto Conjunction

A high intensity energy wave is rolling through, and is peaking from today through the next week. Surfing this energy instead of getting waylaid by it requires some skill, intention, and above all as in all surfing a keen awareness of its nature, its vectors that can be tapped for optimum flow and power and its reefs that must be taken into account to avoid being impaled on them.

Let's Surf the Mars-Pluto conjunction!

Whenever Mars makes a conjunction to one of the outer planets, that planet's agenda gets super energized and often kicks in motion processes that may carry on for a while. As the planet of new starts, major amplification and energization, and catalytic triggering Mars is a very powerful little energizer bunny.

Having a conjunction from Mars to Uranus, Neptune or Pluto is a mixed bag at best; these planets all have very dual natures and offer both constructive and destructive manifestations.

Today, and with energy spinning off for at least a week, Mars hits Hellboy Pluto and energizes him up the whazoo.

In Pluto's case, a Mars conjunction is a very volatile combination and has high risks for violence, explosions, terrorism, interpersonal tensions, conflict, and costly power struggles and battles. However, there are a wide array of constructive ways this conjunction can be used too.

While this IS a time where risks for accidents, violence, crime, and costly conflict are considerably heightened and you simply must be 'heads up' about such risks, take a look at some of the other themes that could come up, and remember you can take the initiative here and enact some of the things below that you feel are desirable and helpful in your life right now:

First of all, Pluto activations stimulate all manner of power issues, power themes, and questions about the right use of power. Themes of how to be more effectively powerful in your life, how to tap and use your power, what the right use of that power is, and how to deal with others on power trips, and collective power often surface in big ways under any strong Pluto angle.

Then, here are some areas in which you can get some 'good rides' out of this super intense energy wave--it does have an awesome tube that is loaded with quantum juice if you can just get yourself positioned in that optimum flow zone of the wave-- try these activities for 'working with the wave':

“¹            Bodywork (Massage, Reiki, bioenergetics, rolfing, etc)

“¹            Emotional catharsis

“¹            Tearing down and rebuilding (anything)

“¹            Research

“¹            Eliminating, Removing, Clearing out.

“¹            Recycling

“¹            Purifying

“¹            Salvage, Garage Sale Sailing, Thrift Shop Tours

“¹            Diagnosis

“¹            Investigation

“¹            Transformation (all kinds). Pluto be the alchemical oven!

“¹            Removing toxic elements from your life (includes toxic relationships)

“¹            Working through obstacles to unity (tricky as things are volatile right now--)

“¹            Surfacing buried issues in relatinships

“¹            Therapy (physical or psychological)

“¹            Learning how to deal with the shadow (yours too!)

“¹            Addressing problem areas of your life, or relationships (use care with others!)

“¹            Overhaul

“¹            Restructuring

“¹            Tapping the super will

“¹            Getting to the root of things.

“¹            Overcoming obstacles to tapping your full power

Any of these themes could be energized by the Mars-Pluto conjunction over this next week. . .and you could select something in these themes that you need to do and take some major action on it over this next week. Taking the energy of the wave and working it as you choose is the essence of the art of surfing the planets.

At the same time, be sensitive in your dealings with people right now; folks tend to be far more reactive under these angles, and occasionally we get people royally going off and blowing their lid, doing the stupid shit that is hyper destructive. Its best to maintain respectfulness towards others during these periods, as a lot of the explosiveness comes out of a place of feeling disrespected.

Special care should be given to fire risks, explosive or flammable substances, poisonous chemicals, the security of children, and any serious health condition. Of course, driving defensively and with eyes very open is advised, especially through the weekend
