lightwave,

It's not too negative, it's honest. I had actually written a post as soon as I read SM's post after he posted it yesterday morning, I hadn't saved it, and it was lost because when I submitted it the site was down. My first post wasn't as 'good sounding on paper' as was the one I submitted later in the day. My first post was somewhat in the same vein as yours.

I'm not going to recount my post again... but,

lightwave wrote:

Anymore I may have to say will likely sound trite in the face of this, yet my heart does go out to you... hold on lightwave... just hold on.

Maybe "this too shall pass"... maybe one more time, and maybe that's all it'll take. Trite maybe, but from the heart.

Hmmm... and I was scouring at myself earlier this evening in a private email to a friend about being a pessimist, and I blamed it on my age. And I think it has more to do with "the age".

I hear ya lightwave, it's just more of a sign of our times. I hope this doesn't set you off... but we've just got to be strong. Not for others right now, for ourselves.

If you are asking for help, I can give you my take on whatever it is that is happening to you and you can take it or leave it as its only a persons avdice. What you have said here is very dramatic but it gives me nothing to go on.

Can I suggest that you start a thread describing your situation, I'd be happy to respond, I'm sure others as well.

Stephen,

I am very sorry I said Marcus at first...to clarify that. It was a mistake. I mis-spoke, if you will or mis-wrote...

It seems to me people sometimes make this stuff sound so intellectual. So like.. add some of this and some of that and you arrive at this enlightment state and all is bliss. How to help the asleep people. It is like saying you send your money to charity from your couch and so you are in the know and involved and then there is actually arriving in the war zone to do the actual work of the charity and your mind is blown out....does that make sense?

Yeah, that makes a lot of sense and I can understand how you see it that way especially if you are going through a period of attack. I've been there too and will be again. Right now, knock on wood, I'm feeling strong. If you are genuine, and I believe you to be, I'd come over and kick some ass for you (as much as I'm capable of) if you lived down the street.

When I get strong, I think about ways to increase my effectiveness and that is what the post was about. From your perspective at this time, I understand how it seems like intellectual posturing, in a way it is, but this is something I intend to do in my life and I was seeking other perspectives on it and yours is as valid as the next. It helps ground it into reality. In lieu of kicking ass for you, I will put on my wrestling jacket and send some good energy your way.

Oh, THAT.  Yeah.  It's a bitch, isn't it?

I don't know if it will be much help, but here's how I deal with it.   First of all, I recognize that as one person alone, I'm probably not going to be able to fix all the world's problems.  In fact, probably not even close.  So even though things are crazy as can be out there, I don't carry it on my shoulders.  Instead, I focus on my immediate surroundings and keeping my wits about me, and being true to myself and others.

I also try to stay calm, relaxed and centered as much as possible.  I feel strongly that keeping the Spirit in mind gives one the power to influence people in many ways that will be for the betterment of humankind but largely invisible and unmeasurable.  Kind of like this forum, for example:  We're all educating and helping each other through this particular channel of communication, and who knows what the tangible results will be that derive from each of our educations here?  So, knowing you've made a difference is not important or even possible, but knowing that you've done your part and acted properly IS both important and possible.

As the Hitchhiker's Guide said in big, friendly letters on its cover, "Don't Panic!" smile   Chill out, relax, have a cup of tea, go to the gym and exercise your body, and enjoy the show which is the world around you.  Do what you can, and don't take life so seriously.   You've only got one life, so have a good time about it.

This is a great piece of advice. You feel under constant bombardment because you don't know the rythm of the attacks. This is where the knowledge of the types of attacks can help. Obviously you know these...or you wouldn't be here. But morningsun76 gives you the hint...don't get choked up and panicked, rest in the spirit, the inner knowing and you can find peace and a period of rest even in the attacks, like Neo in the Matrix movies when he starts defending with one arm, there's growth and adaptation, he's got the rythm, he found peace in the chaos.

Once you're awake about the best thing the matrix can do is keep you confused, off kilter and thinking of you, then you become ineffective.

Hope it helps, looks like another thread needing to be stored for future reference is forming.

Peace,
Teddy

This thread has become an exercise in itself. Lightwave, 'ol buddy, what is it you want to hear?

A song perhaps?

I'd like to dedicate this song to you:

Kumbuya, my lord, Kumbaya

Kumbaya, my lord, Kumbaya

Kumbaya, my Lord, Kumbaya

Oh Lord, Kumbaya....

hope that makes you feel better bro

No?

Well how bout this one? We can sing it to the same tune!

The whole world sucks my lord, I'm so alone

The Illuminati gonna get us lord, Contrails everywhere

Nothing matters anymore lord, the whole world sucks

Big pile of stink, I'll kick my dog.....everybody sing!

Hey, I thought that one was pretty good, has a much better chance of making MTV these days. Writing songs is one way I've learned to calm myself in times when I feel a need to vent. I suggest you try it. It may help you to feel better about yourself and your surroundings. Sometimes I invite my friends over and we do it together while burning incense. Something about the incense helps bring out the inner child within us as a group and occasionally we reach a state of transcendence together... well it's one of those things where you have to be there...If that doesn't work there is always drugs and alcohol and once or twice the whole thing turned into a big orgy, that was kind of cool, but man talk about a mess to clean up the next day...shew!

Anyway, why don't you write a song about you and your world and experiences and share it here with the forum? My bet is that it would make you feel better and perhaps bring a little light into this god forsaken universe...hey it works for me!

Love to all, Stephen

Re: if they don't get it... f*** 'em

Experience proves what attitude is the most productive. I've been bitter and pissed off in the past, and at times revelled in the "poor me" attitude - the more I got pelted with rocks, the more I felt righteous but that was all an ego trip and secretly I wanted such experiences as some form of self-validation. You'd be surprised...or perhaps not...how common this is. Many refuse solutions and are quick to slap the helping hand and put down the virtues of anyone with spine. Misery can be comfort.

In the end you'll discover that positive attitudes exist only among the naive and the wise. The rest are too absorbed in shock and self-importance to seek a better way. And for those with a positive attitude, it's only those with awareness and discernment who survive that  state. If your positivity has brought you harder tasks, then perhaps you were playing the ignorant blissful fool and got burned for it. In my experience, positivity + awareness = progress and protection. Your complaining shows that revelling in negativity hasn't brought you any relief either.

When faced with hardship, the question is which we desire more: to moan or to seek a solution? If not the latter, then you can only rationalize away possible solutions in order to protect your psychological and spiritual status quo. Yes, easier to project some negative quality into the words of others than see it within yourself. Why do I say it's rationalization? Because rationalizations are not grounded on fact and rely more upon appearance and authority than any form of logic. If someone is intellectually posturing and full of shit, then logically argue against the merrits of what they say. Step up to the plate and swing instead of booing from the sidelines.

All I can say is, I know things can get tough. Extremely tough. But nothing is worse than losing faith and getting stuck in a self-validating vicious circle of negativity. The past doesn't have to determine the future because we have choice in the moment. It all comes down to a choice, whether to be strong or whether to justify weakness. Positivity and hope in the face of darkness is strength. If you decide your future based on selective rememberance of past negativity, then you will turn subjective perception into objective experience. The only way to break that cycle is to choose differently, hopefully based on courage and awareness.

Yeah, fluffy words of pretentiousness you may think, and if so that is fine. The learning process is rarely smooth. Nevertheless, my main concern moderator is how wreckless you or anyone chooses to get on this forum. What you have said so far is within the realm of harmless opinion. But as always, if things get out of hand (name calling and illogical bantering) I'll have to start warning/deleting/banning.

Acquiring fringe knowledge is like digging for diamonds in a mine field.

Re: if they don't get it... f*** 'em

Well, lightwave, as with anything you read, you're free to take it or leave it.  If it doesn't resonate with you then pay it no heed.

I'm not going to stay silent just because you have some kind of issue though.  If you're not looking for responses then why bother starting a thread?   What I posted was my own basic way of looking at things and it works quite well for me.

I call your attention to the fact that you just spent five paragraphs telling me why you didn't like my post -- and did so in quite a rude manner.  Then in the sixth paragraph you once again go right back to vague complaints about your undefined "situation."    Come on, now.

If you want to lash out and attack people verbally, fine.  But I can't help but wonder whether your own choice to stay in a victim mentality, together with some rather weak interpersonal skills, are the true root of your frustration.  Focus on improving in those areas (give the aliens and organic portals a rest for a bit) -- and life might start to seem a bit easier to deal with.

Re: if they don't get it... f*** 'em

I almost went back and retracted my previous post as it was somewhat of a kneejerk reaction. I decided to leave for that was how i felt at the time. I went back and read some of Lightwave's posts that I hadn't seen before and reread some that I had, now I'm not so sure that making fun of the situation was the best approach.

Lightwave, if you are for real then I apologize, and I would sincerely like to help you somehow if I am even capable, but the tone of your statements and lack of any real description of what is actually happening to you makes it very hard for one to help. Attempts to do so may appear clumsy or whatever, but you are not giving anything of your self to work with so what do you expect? It's almost like a setup. This tends to come off, to me at least, that you are more interested in dragging others into the muck than you are of getting out it yourself, if that is indeed the case, and I hope not, I won't be a part of it. Otherwise, I would truly like to hear what your experiences have been, if for no other reason, I'm curious and might could learn from them myself.

Re: if they don't get it... f*** 'em

Lightwave,

Bruce Lee is one of the first people I read about that described combat as a dance. Most battles fall into a rhythm, once a combatant identifies that, they can change the rhythm and take advantage of the flow of the battle or they can better defend themselves when they see the rhythm. Once you identify the rhythm at that moment the battle doesn't take all of you to be involved. Sorry if you don't see, like or understand what I am saying.

But in another thread you mention your inability to keep a job, people taking what you say out of context, sounds like to me that TPTB have you off kilter that you can't regain a firm ground. And when you come looking for support (as it sounds to me) and people are trying to offer that yet you wind up flipping them off too....sounds like your "off kilter".

You aren't getting attacked in a rhythmic beat you can see, you're getting attacked on the whole note, half note, 1/4 note. 1/8th note etc.

What part did I pressume on you? If you are here you are obviously awake and have some knowledge of types of attacks and defenses.

lightwave wrote:

Period of attack????

If what we say is happening and we believe it then there is no isolated periods of attack. There is the steady progression towards some sort of something

lightwave wrote:

As I mentioned earlier, something has to give for me cause I feel like on am surrounded and backed into a place I don't see any escape.

The above quotes are yours, or did I pressume you wrote those saying you feel under constant bombardment.

Our advice may sound empty to you, we can't do anything about that. But for me (since detaching from the out come sounds "intellectual" ). My wife and I both have gone through a period of attack at work recently. We have said nothing different than anybody else, yet WE are the ones that seemed to get centered out(sat through 45mins of personal attacks) as the "negative" voices and influences. So after a week of wallowing in the negative and being confused...where'd this come from, I don't understand? We realized that wasn't the case, we weren't the biggest negatives. We could then have moved on to another job(which is incredibly stressful since we are not us citizens and would have to move out of country), gone to a higher up and let them be aware of what's going on or "detach ourselves from the outcome" offer them no retaliatory response, no actions or words to use as ammo and see how they play their hand....well the true negative entity has played herself out...she has been asked to leave. It may be on a small scale but I am speaking from experience. If it is useless to you, and you see me as "full of shit" without knowing a single bit about me...again, nothing I can do about that.

So when I have debts that are getting the best of me, work is getting stressful, to the point where they hint they would like us resign, and I have a family to provide for, I don't sit and think of nice cliches, I figure out what it is I need to learn, to parry, bob and weave and counter punch my way out. Now 18 months later things are looking like they are on more stable ground. Sorry if this sounds hollow and full of shit to you.

I can't remember everything, all the time, so when threads pop up with good advice, I save them....if you don't maybe you should.

Peace,
Teddy

Re: if they don't get it... f*** 'em

Lightwave,

Sorry to hear about the spot of bother you're having at present. Where I think you're going wrong, and as others have pointed out, is that you're choosing the victim mentality. Now that's your choice and you can rant and rage until the cows come home but it's not going to improve your situation.

Most of the advice that you've been offered which you've disregarded as intellectual posturing, is in my opinion good advice, and it could be the reason why most of us in this forum are fairly calm and collected while you're all over the shop. Granted, it sounds like you're currently in the middle of a more difficult situation than many of us here but how we all respond to these situations is entirely a personal choice, and these choices will significantly affect the outcome.

The choice is essentially between the victim mentality and the warrior mentality, but there's no point putting yourself in the thick of it if you're not going to act the warrior.

Last week I watched "The Return of the King, Sp. Ed". Those 3 movies are some of the best ever made in my opinion and I think many many parallels can be drawn between Lord of the Rings and the situation we're currently in the middle of. I don't think it's any coincidence that those movies have been made at this time.

But for a lesson in warriorship, keep your eye on Aragorn, particularly in RoTK. Do you ever see Aragorn bitch and moan and complain about shit? Absolutely not, he just charges into battle, cool as a cucumber, and kicks so much evil ass. Aragorn is the man! Get your sword out and be Aragorn!

If you haven't read Stuart Wilde then I suggest you start reading. Get 'God's Gladiators' and read his articles on his site www.stuartwilde.com. Stuart is in the thick of it too and has been for many years. I doubt anyone has taken more of a battering from the ghouls than Stuart has. But is Stuart complaining? Is he hell. He's another warrior giving as good as he gets.

I'll finish with a little story about Stuart which probably will mean nothing to anyone else, but it means the world to me and it's where I draw my strength from these days. It's amazing how a few little words can have such a profound effect on someone.

About a year ago I was invited to meet and spend a few days with Stuart in Canada. It wasn't just me, there was about 20 of us. Anyway on the very last day when everyone was leaving we were under the impression that Stuart had left really early and so noone had a chance to say a last goodbye. By about midday most of the group had left the resort to catch flights but I was still hanging around at reception waiting for someone. And while I'm waiting Stuart pulls up to hand his keys in and so I was pretty elated that I could say a proper goodbye. He gave me a big hug, kissed my cheek and his parting words were "I'll see you on the frontline Andy"

Because of who Stuart is that is probably the most inspiring thing anyone has ever said to me, and it's filled me with a lot of strength of courage for what I'm certain is going to be a very diffcult few years. If, or when I find myself on that frontline, I'm going to be thinking of Stuart, and I'm gonna be thinking of Aragorn, and maybe I'll get my arse completely kicked, but you will never see me giving up hope, and I will never complain, because I believe that this is what I came here to do.

Take what you want from that. If you think it's all a load of shit then that's fine, if you find it useful, then great.

Now pull yourself together soldier!

Andy
