I know you're just kidding but I just have to say that without the moon, apparently we wouldn't be here.  !  We'd all be dead, and there'd be no Earth as we currently know it.

But then again, that's saying that all of this is even real to begin with.

Now there's a thought!

haha

You know..........me too many times.  Noticed this first back in '95 when, during one particular full moon, I noted that I felt better and calmer then I had in the past several days, only to realize that it was the full moon.  In the days leading up to the full moon I felt edgy, but on the full moon itself I felt good.  Weird! New moons seem to carry a darker energy than full moons, but even new moons sometimes manifest in a really positive way for me, where all these high level ideas pour out, and I'm surging with energy and creativity.  My theory is that new and full moons are merely portals in general, but it's all in where you align yourself and what you choose to "pull through" those portals.  Positive or negative.

Re: Montalk Research: Moon Cycles

I just noticed that right now there are 7 registered users online and 19 guests.

That seems like a high number for this site.  Maybe new moon related?

Wandering1............You should have seen it the past two days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!   WOW.   Yesterday at the peak that I saw anyway, there were 43 people on.    And it was fluctuating from 39 to 40 guests.  I was going, Who are these people???  Wow!  I figured maybe Noble Realms is just getting popular, and more non-registered users are stopping by to read?  I don't know, but I'm always suspicious when I see dozens of anonymous guests on.  Typically in the past, it amazingly seems to correlate with fights and arguing going on between posters.  I know somebody else once noticed and mentioned this too, feeling like it's a situation of a crowd seeming to gather around to watch the ruckus.   But who are they, and how do they "know" about the melee?  wink  Weird, I tell ya.  Really makes me wonder.

Re: Montalk Research: Moon Cycles

Lyra--I don't know about all those guests, but when I go to NR from work I'm not able to
log on.  Maybe all those guests are online from their workplaces and unable to log on.
After all, when you're not logged on, you can't post.  Or can you?

Yup.  The moon is merely a figment of our collective imagination.

If we all just forget about it, it will go away.  big_smile

Interesting!  I didn't know that the counts had gotten that high.

I think that "19 guests online" was the highest total that I had seen on this site so far.

My understanding is that if you do not log on then you are counted in the
"guests online" total rather than the "registered users online."

As an online guest, you can read, but not post.

You need to be logged in as a registered user to post.

Same here - I would have been one of those guests yesterday.  Though even still 40 guests still seems quite high...

Re: Montalk Research: Moon Cycles

Indeed, I've been noticing that amount of people too, there was 30+ guests online and like 10 registered all online about 2-3 days ago, thus I have started a spread sheet, seeing if this is some sort of mass gathering or just a trend.  Too early too predict anything at this moment, but it would be intresting is it keeps increasing!

Re: Montalk Research: Moon Cycles

Just had another thought about the influx of guests.  Didn't GLP go down over the weekend?  Maybe a bunch of people from there were looking for an alternative forum?

That's actually a good theory and probably the explanation.

I admit though that the idea of it is annoying, of people just looking for a new forum to invade and use, and most likely without having any knowledge of the main website that it's connected to.   I've glanced over the GLP forum and don't see how it could really be that compatible with the way NR is.    Very different vibe.   GLP is very chaotic, lot of noise, more of a rowdy pub feeling to it, versus a quiet room of people sitting around chatting. wink

Re: Montalk Research: Moon Cycles

I haven't been to GLP in years, with the exception of the Insider postings.
GLP is more like room full of chimpanzees on meth.  No serious continuity
possible without being flamed by some idiot.

NR has a very civilized sense of decorum.
Thank you montalk.

Re: Montalk Research: Moon Cycles

This has been a freaking weird cycle - waaaaaaaaaay too long a story....is mercury still retro-grade in whatever house(whatever that all means)? The other night there were 2 registered users and 53-56 guests that I saw.

I'll second the motion to destroy the moon.

Peace,
